Abstract

Songket fabric weaving training was conducted to empower poor women with the hope that they can overcome the family economy, acquire skills, and be able to become independent individuals. The objectives of this study were (a) to describe and analyze the program planning of songket fabric weaving training, (b) to describe and analyze the process of songket fabric weaving training, (c) to describe and analyze the success of songket fabric weaving training, (d) describe and analyze inhibiting and supporting factors in songket fabric weaving training. The approach used in this research was qualitative approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of two tutors and three training participants. The results of this study show that (1) the training program planning was arranged according to the needs of the participants, (2) the training process was directed in accordance with the materials by employing adult learning methods, (3) the success of the training had different achievement standards, (4) internal and external factors became obstacles and supporters of songket fabric weaving training as competence of tutors, enthusiastic participants, assistance from non-governmental, market needs and lack of available tools. Weaving cloth training will be carried out with maximum if the trainer has the ability and spirit in learning. Andragogy learning methods are tailored to the needs of learners. In addition, support from the community in training support. In addition to the training, need to think about the market needs so that the training products can be sold to the community. The benefit of this research is as a reference in conducting the training should use andragogy in learning so that the training according to the needs of students and get results more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan proses monitoring, proses evaluasi program, hasil, dampak, faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam proses pelatihan Batik Brebesan di Mitra Batik Desa Bentar Kecamatan Salem Kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian 3 orang terdiri dari monitor internal, monitor eksternal, evaluator dan 3 orang informan dari peserta pelatihan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber, metode dan teori. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu  pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa monitoring dilakukan oleh pihak internal dan eskternal dimana monitor internal tidak menggunakan instrumen yang jelas, sedangkan monitor eksternal mengunakan instrumen, evaluator program tidak menggunakan instrumen dan evaluator kurang memenuhi kompetensi evaluator program. Hasil pelatihan mencakup tiga aspek yaitu kognitif, keterampilan dan sikap dimana yang paling dominan adalah aspek keterampilan. Dampak pelatihan adanya peningkatan kinerja dan peningkatan penghasilan bagi peserta. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat berasal dari internal dan eksternal. Faktor pendukung internalnya adalah motivasi peserta yang tinggi untuk mengikuti pelatihan dengan didukung instruktur yang kompeten. Sedangkan faktor penghambat internalnya adalah emosi peserta yang belum stabil dan eksternalnya adalah kesulitan alat transportasi di wilayah Kecamatan Salem.

Abstract

The unexpected and rapid spread of COVID-19 throughout the world has made the course and training institution management face various problems, such as adapting new learning habits by using blended learning, tutors and students who have not well mastered the utilization of online learning media, and tutors’ ability to train the Learners to quickly adapt and utilize the new technology when learning from home. This study aimed to analyze the impacts of course and training institution management on educational services for communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis was conducted on six education program management indicators starting from planning to development. Furthermore, the impacts of course and training activities performed by the institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic were also analyzed. This study was participated by 27 course and training institutions in Tasikmalaya. A qualitative research method was performed to collect the research data. The research found that the course and training institution management was in accordance with the concept of education program management starting from planning to supervising. In addition, the impacts of course and training institution the management during the COVID-19 pandemic included: (a) developing the managers’ ability to deal with the unexpected situations; (b) developing the tutors’ and students’ ability related to skills mastered after training and online learning media; (c) increasing the existence of institutions; (d) increasing the public trust to the related institutions. Meanwhile, the institutional infrastructure completeness was strengthened by making partnerships with the other institutions and the industrial world, as well as increasing the quantity and quality of graduates. However, the managers did not feel the impacts.

Abstract

Perception has the important role in determining the worldview and impacts significantly, including on the functional literacy programs. The aim of this study is to reveal the perception of the illiterate in functional literacy programs. This research uses the qualitative approach with the type of phenomenology research. The research was conducted in Kadur Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency. The informants used were 6 persons who were illiterate in the functional literacy program. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Analysis of this research data using Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show several peceptions that formed in the functional literacy programs. Based on the research, it can be concluded that illiterate people perceive the functional literacy program as a place of fulfilment of desire, including the desire to get reward, acknowledgement, and appreciation of figure. As a place of fulfilment of needs, including the need to socialize, facing the times, empowered, and worship. The benefits of this research can be used for literacy education practitioners to improve the quality of the program by accommodating the wishes and needs of the learning community

Abstract

TBM is more accurately called a reading facility in the middle of the community (community-based library) and is managed simply, and independently by the community concerned. This action research aims to (1) describe the management pattern of Community Reading Gardens as part of Omah Passionaon empowerment programs; (2) Explain the optimization of TBM management in its efforts to improve reading culture. Action research with a focus on optimizing TBM management is carried out using a diagnosis, planning, implementing action and evaluation model with Omah Passinaon managers as research subjects. Data or information is collected by interviewing techniques such as FGDs, observations on aspects of program management, activities to obtain a comprehensive picture of the potential, problems, needs for improvement and forms of action to optimize TBM management. The results of this study indicate that (1) TBM management emphasizes the competence of capable and skilled managers in building public awareness of the importance of reading culture, as well as the realization of TBM that has community appeal as a source of information in Bejiharjo tourism area. (2) Actions for optimizing TBM management in research include (a) Raising public awareness of reading fondness at Omah Passionaon, (b) partnerships with academics, universities, and private parties, (c) mentoring for pioneering TBMs that attract public interest in reading, (d) evaluation. TBM management can be effective must have partnerships from private or government institutions, besides that the manager also has good competence. The benefit of this research is to provide awareness to the community to read and motivation for TBM managers to seek partnerships with private and government institutions.

Abstract

Tujuan utama studi ini yaitu mengkaji posisi homeschooling dalam sistem pendidikan nasional Indonesia, menganalisis  problem/permasalahan yang dihadapi homeschooling, dan mengkonstruk strategi dan solusi dalam melaksanakan pendidikan homeschooling. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi partisipan, Focus Group Discussion/FGD, dan diskusi teman sejawat. Setting pada homeschooling tunggal, majemuk dan komunitas di Yogyakarta. Berdasarkan aspek politik pendidikan, homeschooling memiliki legalitas dan terakomodasi dalam regulasi. Terdapat perbedaan pandangan dalam menjalankan homeschooling. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa homeschooling diatur Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Pasal 27 Ayat 2 sebagai legal formal posisi homeschoooling dalam masyarakat. Beberapa permasalahan antara lain regulasi belum sepenuhnya diterima semua pihak. Strategi dapat dilakukan dengan pengembangan konseptual maupun kelembagaan. Solusi masalah dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan kebijakan yang mewadahi kepentingan semua varian baik tunggal, mejemuk maupun komunitas. Bagi para homeschoolers yang membutuhkan pengakuan dan kesetaraan diharapkan mengacu pada kebijakan yang berlaku.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi peningkatan kualitas layanan yang diberikan kepada peserta didik kursus bidang vokasi di LPP Graha Wisata Semarang. Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Kuisioner diberikan peserta didik untuk mengetahui ekspektasi dan persepsi layanan yang telah diberikan pada lima dimensi kualitas layanan yaitu bukti fisik, reliabilitas, daya tanggap, jaminan dan empati. Penelitian menghasilkan kualitas layanan dengan skor 5,69 dipersepsikan baik oleh peserta didik, tetapi dengan mengukur ekspektasi dan persepsi layanan ditemukan kesenjangan dengan skor -0,78 yang artinya kualitas layanan masih belum memuaskan. Berdasarkan kesenjangan itu strategi peningkatan kualitas layanan yang dilakukan LPP Graha Wisata Semarang dengan memperbaiki fisik sarana prasarana dan meningkatkan kualitas SDM melalui bimbingan, pembinaan, pendidikan dan latihan.

Abstract

Statement of the problem in this study is how learning management which includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning in Mentari Kids Early Childhood Education, Klaten is. The aims of this study are: (a) to analyze and describe plan of learning management, (b) to analyze and describe implementation of learning management, (c) to analyze and describe evaluation of learning management of Mentari Kids Early Childhood Education, Klaten, Central Java. The approach in this research was using qualitative approach. Data collecting technique was done by using interview, observation and documentation. The subject of the research was 9 informants, which consist of 7 primary subjects, i.e 4 teachers, 1 education staff, and 2 guardians of the students. Moreover, 2 secondary subjects are the manager of the institution and principal. Validity of the data was received by the use of data triangulation and triangulation method. The results showed that the planning of curriculum learning was conducted based on top down and bottom up by considering moral and religious values, physical, linguistic, cognitive, emotional, and art. Implementation of learning is conducted based on Daily Action Plan, Weekly Action Plan, Semester Program, Annual Program which uses integrated thematic curriculum model. The learning model is centers or Beyond Centers and Circle Time includes imtaq, natural materials, art and creativity, role play, briquet, and preparation. Learning evaluation was done by observation, anecdotal recording, and portfolio. The evaluation was carried out by diagnostic, formative, summative, until placement evaluation.

Abstract

This research is backed by the high percentage of people’s graduation to learn to take national examinations of computer standards and school exams in national standards. This research aims to illustrate the implementation of the learning evaluation conducted by tutors at the community leaning Centers Farilla Ilmi. This research form ex post facto with population learning C package as much as 60 people. Samples were pulled as many as 30 people using a stratified random sampling technique. Data is collected using poll techniques and analyzed using a percentage formula. The results of the study showed (1) package C tutors at the community learning centers Farilla Ilmi very varied, there are already graduates who are still students and some are only having a senior secondary school diploma but have a certificate of training A lot. (2) The evaluation of learning conducted by tutors performed very well. The evaluation is conducted comprehensively ranging from assessing the readiness of the citizens to learning, assessing the learning process, and assessing the learning outcomes of oral learners, writings and practices. The benefits that can be learned from the findings of this study are the existence of tutors who are young and generally almost the same age as the citizens learn so that the citizens learn not shy and very excited about following the lesson. The newness factor here that most tutors are recruited from Padang State University students who already carry out the teaching practice. Thus, the teaching tutor is ideal according to what it is practiced in school as a prospective teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan keterampilan sapu glagah terhadap peningkatan minat berwirausaha pada pemuda di Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Pulosari Kabupaten Pemalang, serta seberapa besar peningkatan minat berwirausaha. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest design, penelitian ini hanya menggambil satu kelompok subjek tanpa kelompok kontrol sebagai pembanding. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pemuda yang tinggal Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Pulosari Kabupaten Pemalang yang mengikuti pelatihan keterampilan sapu glagah yang dilaksanakan oleh Balatkop dan UMKM Kabupaten Pemlaang yang berjumlah 35 orang. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan teknik analisis sesuai dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design dengan uji statistik paired t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan minat berwirausaha pada pemuda di Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Pulosari Kabupaten Pemalang pada saat sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan keterampilan sapu glagah, dimana minat berwirausaha setelah pelatihan keterampilan sapu glagah lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan minat berwirausaha sebelum pelatihan, yang berarti pelatihan keterampilan sapu glagah berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan minat berwirausaha pemuda di Desa Gunungsari Kecamatan Pulosari Kabupaten Pemalang, dengan peningkatan sebesar 10,52%.This study aims to determine the effect of skills training glagah broom against the increased interest in youth entrepreneurship in the village Gunungsari Pulosari District of Pemalang, as well as how much of the increase in interest in entrepreneurship. This research approach method is experimental design using a pretest-posttest design, this study only took this one group of subjects with no control group for comparison. The subjects were young men who live Gunungsari Rural District of Pemalang Regency Pulosari skills training glagah broom held by Balatkop and UMKM Pekalongan regency totaling 35 people. Hypothesis testing using analysis techniques in accordance with the design of one group pretest- posttest design with a statistical test paired t test. The results showed differences in youth entrepreneurship interest in the village Gunungsari Pulosari the District Pemalang District at the time before and after training skills glagah broom, where the interest in entrepreneurship after the skills training broom glagah higher than the interest in entrepreneurship prior to the training, which means training skills glagah broom affect the increased interest in entrepreneurship youths in the village of the District Gunungsari Pulosari Pemalang, with an increase of 10.52%.
