Abstract

Background of the study: The Bank Indonesia Representative Office creates and produces large numbers of archives every day. Bank Indonesia Representative Offices have their own system regarding records, namely MDBI (Bank Indonesia Document Management) which is supported by technology-based application tools, namely the BI-Records Management System (BI-RMS). This application is a system in the archive management process that is used regarding the form of activity of receiving or sending, filing, storing, using, maintaining, securing, and depreciating archives. Purpose: Knowing how to depreciate archives at Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Province and the obstacles in depreciating such archives. Method: This study used a qualitative case study method. Data collection was carried out through systematic observation and in-depth interviews with informants. Findings: The results of the study stated that there were several obstacles in shrinking archives. Transfer of archives is carried out based on the notification of the list of archives transferred to the BI-RMS system that appears when the archivist opens the system. In transferring archives, there are still several documents that do not have a code so that in determining KMJRBI, those who do not know the main tasks of the archive creation unit will likely be hampered in determining the archive classification code so that the archive depreciation process becomes less effective. Conclusion: The difficulty of determining the JRA for certain documents lies in the fact that JR of several different documents takes considerable for archivists to determine the JRA. In response to these obstacles, the Bengkulu Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office can conduct training to improve archivist competence in managing records, especially in the depreciation section.

During the post-Covid-19 pandemic period, returning the spirit of offline learning by providing the right information resources for users at the school level is necessary. Improving the competence of librarians in managing the library is one of the keys. Purpose: This study aims to analyze how librarians adaptively improve their competency in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This research uses a qualitative approach and case study method. Data collection techniques were using observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The validity of the data was tested using the source triangulation technique. Data are presented by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Findings: The librarian profession is a profession with competencies that develop adaptively. Improving the competence of school librarians in the post-pandemic period includes general competencies and core competencies. General competencies include operating computers, compiling work programs, and compiling reports. Improvement of core competencies includes a selection of library materials, acquisition of information sources, cataloging capabilities, maintenance of library materials, improvement of circulation services, reference services, information retrieval, library promotion capabilities, literacy, use of IT in libraries, as well as enhancement of specific competencies. Competency enhancement is carried out in various ways: through training, technical guidance, knowledge sharing, seminars, and workshops held online, hybrid, and offline. As well as comparative studies in other libraries, both online and offline. Conclusion: Online self-development activities are still the prima donna for librarians at the school level because they save costs and time. In contrast, offline activities are still a factor in cost considerations.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure the level of WhatsApp users for scientific communication and the effect of user motives on the level WhatsApp used for scientific communication. Method: Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, it was conducted for seventy-five (75) library students who were actively using WhatsApp for scientific communication. Findings: The majority of respondents indicated that WhatsApp has a high usage rate for scientific communication purposes. The results showed that information motives and social interaction motives have a significant effect on the level of WhatsApp used for scholarly communication, while personal identity motives have no effect. Conclusion: The conclusion is that students have not maximized the use of social media for scientific communication. Students do activities to searching and searching information but do not carry out activities to build interactions such as holding discussions or collaborating to produce scientific work with other academics.

Digital curation is a way to preserve and develop the collection of information so that it can be maintained and accessed in the future. Purpose: This study aims to determine how many studies have examined digital curation at universities from 2012-2022 and the extent of the research affiliation. Method: This research is a quantitative research using a descriptive methodology through a systematic literature review. The collection of journal articles uses bibliometric analysis to find the articles studied from the Scopus database and processed with using VosViewer to describe research trend data. Findings: There are 91 journal articles from the Scopus database on digital curation in universities from 2012 to 2022. Digital curation is the most dominant keyword with 22 events. The trend of the highest number of research shows that there are 16 journal articles in 2012. The Digital Curation keyword shows the highest number of 57 research relationship affiliations. Conclusion: This research can describe research trends, distribution map and research relationship. It can also help to show clearly that research is still rare or has not been studied to encourage novelty for the development of further research.

Abstract

Background of the study: Dissemination of the research results of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) in 2017-2020 as measured by the distribution of publications. Purpose: This study aims to determine the bibliometric profile of research results documents owned by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) for 2017-2020 which have been disseminated. Method: The research method used is a quantitative bibliometric method with descriptive statistical analysis, and co-authorship analysis and co-occurrence analysis with VosViewer software. Findings: There are three groups of findings: document distribution, research collaboration, and research trends, it is known that: (1) research documents on Scopus excel in large number, wide scope of various publications, and description about publication status and types of document access; (2) research documents on DOAJ excel in the scope of Indonesian local publications; (3) LIPI's researcher with the most research results is Sumowodagdo S.; (4) LIPI's research collaboration is consistent with the University of Indonesia and the National University of Singapore; (5) LIPI's research trends are consistent in Indonesian studies with Indonesia as the keywords. Conclusion: The domination of the largest number of LIPI's research documents, collaboration, and keyword is found in research results indexed by the Scopus. Increased research can be done on a list of keywords that appear less frequently. Countries and institutions that have little collaboration also need attention and increase their collaboration. Countries and institutions with frequent collaboration also need to be maintained.

Abstract

Background of the study: The rapid development in the field of educational leadership and management (EDLM) recently has led to an increase in the number of publications. In line with this, bibliometric analysis has been widely conducted to assess various fields of study, particularly in Indonesia. The abundance of publications also necessitates an examination of the extent to which authors' productivity levels contribute to the field of EDLM in Indonesia. Purpose: This research aims to explore the pattern of author productivity by testing Lotka's Law on publications in the field of EDLM in Indonesia. Method: The testing is conducted using the complete count and straight count methods to compare the results obtained from both approaches. The data for the study were collected from all 44 Indonesian accredited journals in the EDLM field. A total of 7,796 articles were screened based on specific criteria, resulting in a final sample of 5,158 articles with 6,604 authors (complete count) and 4,301 authors (straight count). Findings: The results of the study indicate that the productivity levels of authors in the field of EDLM in Indonesia do not align with Lotka's law. While, most productive authors tend to publish their publication in a single journal only. Conclusion: The study also reveals a disparity in the productivity levels between the two methods, as well as a tendency for productive authors to publish their work in a single journal.
