Jurnal Sosial, Ekonomi dan Humaniora (JSEH) adalah jurnal akademik direview dengan sistem peer review. Pertama kali terbit pada tahun 2015 di Lembaga Penelitian Universitas Mataram terbit setiap enam bulan sekali, yaitu Bulan Juni dan Desember Mulai tahun 2022 diterbitkan setiap tiga bulan sekali yaitu Bulan Maret, Juni, September dan Desember Artikel yang dimuat meliputi artikel di bidang sosial ekonomi dan humaniora serta berlaku umum untuk di dunia akademik di bidang sosial, ekonomi dan humaniora Indonesia. Kontribusi dan Bidang yang dikaji dalam jurnal ini sangat luas termasuk di dalamnya bidang-bidang yang bersinggungan dengan bidang ekonomi, manajemen, akuntansi, hukum, bahasa dan sastra, budaya, sosiologi, antropologi, politik, dan bidang yang sangat makro seperti pariwisata, ilmu keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan sosial serta kewirausahaan. Abstract

This study explores Generation Z voters’ understanding and motives toward presidential candidates in the 2024 election in Padang City, against the backdrop of state intervention issues and the popularity of Prabowo-Gibran’s “gemoy” social media strategy. A qualitative approach was applied using a critical paradigm and Habermas’s hermeneutic analysis, involving 14 Gen Z informants. Findings reveal that candidate pair 01 voters are mainly highly educated individuals driven by rational motives, pair 02 voters are predominantly first-time voters influenced by their environment and the "gemoy" campaign on TikTok, while pair 03 voters critically evaluate candidates’ track records. The "gemoy" strategy created distorted political communication, shifting the focus from leadership substance to entertainment politics, yet effectively influenced Gen Z electoral decisions through social media. This phenomenon underscores the importance of political and media literacy to prevent political manipulation and promote more substantial democratic awareness among young voters.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the role of women farmers in maize farming within the dryland agricultural system in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. Two villages, Mertak and Sukadana, were selected as research locations, as both have extensive dryland areas suitable for maize cultivation. This study employs a descriptive method. To determine the respondents, "proportional random sampling" was used. Ordinal regression analysis was the data analysis technique applied. The findings indicate that the role of women in maize farming in Pujut District is influenced by multiple factors, with access to technology and markets being the most significant. This suggests that the lower women's access to technology and markets, the smaller their role in maize farming.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is the most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, particularly for horticultural farmers such as melon growers. This study aims to analyze melon farmers’ perceptions of climate change in Ganti Village, East Praya Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency. A quantitative survey method was applied. The location was selected purposively as Ganti Village is a central melon-producing area. A total of 30 respondents were selected using the snowball sampling technique. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaire-based interviews and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that farmers have strong perceptions of three key aspects of climate change: changing rainfall patterns, extreme weather events, and their impacts on agriculture. Farmers identified specific indicators of the onset and end of the rainy season as well as heavy rainfall as signs of changing precipitation patterns. Regarding extreme events, they recognized the timing of strong winds, floods, and droughts. Perceived impacts include increased pest and disease incidence, reduced yields and quality, higher crop failure risks, unpredictable water availability, and changes in crop varieties each planting season.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of promotions and prices on repeat purchase intention of consumers on the Gofood application. The study population consists of active undergraduate students from the 2021-2023 cohort of the Social Studies Education Department at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, who have made at least three purchases on the Gofood application, with a sample of 59 students. The sample was selected using proportional random sampling and the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results show that promotions on the Gofood application are categorized as excellent, prices are affordable, and the repeat purchase intention of consumers is high. Both promotion and price have a simultaneous effect on repeat purchase intention. Individually, promotion has a positive and significant effect, as does price. The contribution of promotion and price to repeat purchase intention is 40.5%, while the remaining 59.5% is influenced by other variables not included in the regression, such as product ratings, app usability, service quality, website quality, brand image, and product quality.

Abstract

This research examines the strategy of utilizing Minangkabau pantun in creating T-shirt motifs as an effort to increase the creativity of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in the Gandoriah Beach area, Pariaman City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzes the potential integration of local cultural elements into modern fashion products. The main focus is the creation of rhymes themed on the beauty of Gandoriah Beach that are applied as motifs on T-shirts and tote bags. The proposed strategy includes the creation of short rhymes, selection of attractive color gradations, and aesthetic layout. The main target market is young tourists who visit Gandoriah Beach. The results show that this collaboration between cultural heritage and creative industry has the potential to not only promote local cultural values, but also open up economic opportunities for MSME players. The study concludes that this strategy can be a positive model of local cultural development that contributes to industry growth and community welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of community activities on water quality based on physico-chemical parameters and socio-economic conditions along the Karang Mumus River, RT 32 Kampung Baru Permai, Samarinda. Using quantitative (measurement of water physico-chemical parameters) and qualitative (interviews, observations) approaches, the study analyzed the impact of domestic waste and economic activities. Results showed that water quality was generally still eligible for non-consumption activities, with a temperature of 27°C, TDS of 53 ppm, salinity of 0.00%, specific gravity of 1,000, ORP of 210 mV, and pH of 8.18. The findings also show that some communities still use river water for daily needs and have limitations in waste management, despite having knowledge about the importance of maintaining environmental hygiene with the dominance of informal employment and low income (<Rp1 million/month). Economic factors and the availability of infrastructure are the main challenges in environmental conservation efforts. Estimated household economic losses due to this condition reached Rp6,331,000 per year. Strategic mitigation recommendations that are considered the most effective and possible to implement are the provision of trash bins along the riverbanks, because they are considered practical, quickly implemented, and able to encourage gradual changes in community behavior.

Abstract

This article presents a literature analysis of the Family Hope Program (PKH) as an instrument for fulfilling economic and cultural rights within the framework of second-generation Human Rights (HAM) in East Lombok. Second-generation human rights include the rights to work, education, health, and cultural participation that must be fulfilled by the state through fair and measurable policies. Through a systematic literature review approach to national scientific publications, this study evaluates the relationship between policy formulation, legal regulations, and implementation of PKH with the principles of economic and cultural rights. The results of the study indicate that normatively PKH has been designed to fulfill aspects of second-generation human rights, especially through facilitating access to basic services for the poor. However, implementation at the local level such as East Lombok has not fully reflected a human rights-based approach, especially in terms of recognizing local cultural values ​​and community participation. This finding emphasizes the importance of reformulating PKH policies to be more contextual, inclusive, and rights-based in their implementation in the regions.

Abstract

Women's empowerment is an effort to encourage and improve the ability of women to be more empowered. However, in its implementation, there are often challenges that go unnoticed, such as traditional stereotypes that place women solely as housekeepers. This is often a barrier to women's participation in social and economic activities. This research aims to examine the role of women's empowerment in efforts to improve community welfare in Ujung Serdang Village. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the Head of Ujung Serdang Village and housewives. The results showed that the women's empowerment program in Ujung Serdang Village succeeded in improving community welfare through skills training and support from village institutions. Although faced with obstacles such as the burden of multiple roles and traditional views, women are still able to increase their income and family economic independence. To ensure the sustainability of the program, strong cooperation between the village government, the village government, and the village government is needed. Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the Influence of Service Quality and Facilities on Revisit Intentions at Muslim-Friendly Hotels in Mataram City. The sample in this study amounted to 100 samples. The sampling technique in this study used a nonprobability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The analysis tool used in this study was SmartPLS version 4. The results of statistical data testing and analysis showed that all statement items in the study were declared valid. The results showed that service quality had a positive and significant effect on revisit intentions. Facilities had a positive and significant effect on revisit intentions. Service quality had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Facilities had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on revisit intentions. Customer satisfaction mediated the effect of service quality positively and significantly. Finally, the mediating effect of customer satisfaction on revisit intentions positively and significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of investment decisions, capital structure and dividend policy on the value of LQ45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2023. This research is a causal associative research (cause and effect) with a quantitative approach. In this study, the sample selection was carried out by purposive sampling method. Based on the predetermined criteria, a sample of 19 companies from 45 companies was obtained. In this study, a panel data regression model was applied with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach and using the Eviews 12 program. The results showed that investment decisions have a positive and significant effect on firm value, capital structure has a negative but insignificant effect on firm value, and dividend policy has a negative but insignificant effect on firm value. From the results of this study, it is hoped that companies can be maximized in managing investment decisions, capital structure, and dividend policy in an effort to increase firm value, especially LQ45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2023.
