Abstract

This paper aims to describe the application of improving language skills in early childhood through storytelling methods. The results of the discussion showed that the method of storytelling can improve language skills in early childhood, because storytelling is something that is exciting for children and has many benefits in developing children's abilities, especially in terms of language skills. This is because the storytelling method can improve the mastery of new vocabulary and encourage the activeness of children which in turn can improve children's language skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the learning approaches  whole language type journal writing study for the secon grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bangsri in the academic year 2015/2016. This research used classroom action research and was performed in two cycle. Each cycle consisted of four steps, planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research were 41 students and the teachers. The data sources derived from students and teachers. The data collecting techniques were questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. The data validation used triangulation techniques, triangulation sources, and review informant. The data analysis used interactive analysis. The conclusion of this research shows that the application of learning approaches  whole language type journal writing study can improve the learning activeness about writing skill for secon grade students in the  SD Negeri 1 Bangsri in the academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Comparative Study of Scramble Learning Model and Concept Sentence on Summary Writing Skills in terms of Learning Motivation. (Experimental Research on Class V Semester 2 SD Students in Laweyan District, 2019/2020 Academic Year). The population of this study was all students in grade V SD Negeri in Laweyan District, Surakarta City for the 2019/2020 school year, totaling 38 schools. The sample in this study was grade V of some public elementary schools in Laweyan District, Surakarta City. Theexperimental class in this study was in class V SD Negeri Bumi 1 and SD Negeri Bratan III, while the control class was in class V SD Negeri Pajang III and SD Negeri Tegalsari. Data collection techniques in this study used a test (post-test) and non-test (questionnaire). The data analysis technique used in this study was the Two Way Variance Analysis (Two Way Anava) with a significant level of α = 0.05. The results showed that there were differences in summary writingskills between students who were taught by the Scramble learning model and students who were taught with the Concept Sentence learning model, indicated by the acquisition of the Sig. = 0.000 <0.05. There are differences in summary writing skills between students who have high learning motivation and students who have low learning motivation. This is indicated by the acquisition of the Sig. = 0.000 <0.05. There is an interaction between the learning model and learning motivation on summary writing skills indicated by the acquisition of Sig. = 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

The type of this research is a Class Action Research (CAR) with thepurpose to analyze the application of the civic education’s learning outcome aboutthe fighting values in Pancasila formulation as the state foundation of the studentsof Class VI A the Elementary School of Kasreman with the bamboo dancingmethod on the first Semester of the 2018/2019 year academic. The subjects of thisresearch are the students of Class VI A the Elementary School of Kasreman on thefirst Semester of the 2018/2019 year academic as much as twenty one children;consist of fourteen boys and seven girls. The data resources of this research arerelating with learning activities and learning outcomes. Techniques of collectingdata of this research are using non test technique and test technique. Technique ofanalyzing data of this research is using comparative description. The procedure ofthis research is an action research with the spiral model. The results of this researchare 1) the Civic Education’s learning about the fighting values in Pancasilaformulation as the state foundation is an individual and different task for eachstudent, 2) the Civic Education’s learning about the fighting values in Pancasilaformulation as the state foundation is only a single task with an optional question,3) the Civic Education’s learnings about the fighting values in Pancasilaformulation as the state foundation are increasing the learning activities; activelyanswering the questions form the teacher and other students, very actively askingthe questions to the teacher and actively declaring the opinions and 4) the CivicEducation’s learnings about the fighting values in Pancasila formulation as thestate foundation are increasing the learning outcomes. The learning outcomes onthe Early Condition are 62,14 for the average and 42,85% for the completeness.The learning outcomes on the First Cycle are 72,14 for the average and 71,42% forthe completeness. The learning outcomes on the Second Cycle are 82,85 for theaverage and 85,71% for the completeness.

Abstract

This research is a Class Action Research (CAR) with the purpose to analyze the learning outcome improvement of Social Science about Natural Phenomena and Facing  Natural Disaster of the students of Class VI B the Elementary School of Kasreman withMind Map Method on the Second Semester of the 2018/2019 year academic. The subjects of this research are the students of Class VI B the Elementary School of Kasreman on the Second Semester of the 2018/2019 year academic as much as twenty children; consist of ten boys and ten girls. The data resources of this research are relating with learning activities and learning outcomes. Techniques of collecting data of this research are non test technique and test technique. The instruments of collecting data of this research are the sheets of observation, the camera application on the hand phone, the group tasks and also daily test. Technique of analyzing data of this research is comparative description. The procedure of this research is the Kemmis and Mc Taggart’s model. This research is consisting of two cycle; First Cycle and Second Cycle. Each cycle consists of two meetings. 1) Learning Social Science about Natural Phenomena and Facing Natural Disaster with Mind Map Method is going on a small group with different task, 2) Learning Social Science about Natural Phenomena and Facing Natural Disaster with Mind Map Method is a conceptual learning with text or picture, 3) Learning Social Science about Natural Phenomena and Facing Natural Disaster with Mind Map Method is improving the students’ learning activities on an actively discussing, actively answering the questions form the teacher and other students and actively asking the questions to the teacher,4) Learning Social Science about Natural Phenomena and Facing Natural Disaster with Mind Map Method is improving learning outcome on good category. The learning outcomes on the Early Condition are 63 for the average and 40% for the completeness. The learning outcomes on the First Cycle are 69,5 for the average and 55% for the completeness. The learning outcomes on the Second Cycle are 80,5 for the average and 85% for the completeness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang pemerolehan dan penggunaan bahasa pada anak usia sekolah dasar dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode longitudinal case studi atau studi kasus longitudinal dan metode deskriptif, sedangkan teknik penelitian menggunakan teknik analitik isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemerolehan dan penggunaan bahasa pada anak usia sekolah dasar terdapat pemerolehan bahasa Indonesia, Jawa, Sunda, Inggris. Penggunaan bahasa sebagai sebuah sistem, sebagai ungkapan personal, dan interpersonal sudah cukup baik dan sudah dapat menggunakan dalam struktur yang tepat, meskipun masih juga ditemukan kesalahan struktur dan makna pada penggunaan bahasanya. Pada anak usia sekolah dasar pemerolehan bahasa  dan penggunaan bahasanya masih terus berkembang untuk mencapai kesempurnaan. Orang tua, guru, dan orang di lingkungan sekitarnya sangat berperan dalam membimbing dan selalu memberi masukan untuk mencapai kesempurnaan dalam pemerolehan dan penggunaan bahasanya.

Abstract

Abstract. The study sought to improve the skills of reading comprehension of students from IV B Class at SD Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta 2019/2020. This was conducted by using PQRST methods. Moreover, this research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was run for two cycles. Each cycles has four systematic stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This study used variety of techniques including interview, observation, tests, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested using data and source triangulation techniques. Data were analyzed using an instrument originally developed by Miles-Huberman. On this research, the average value result of reading comprehension skills is 44.291 with 12,5% of passing percentage in pre-action. In the first cycle, the average acquisition of reading comprehension skills increased to 60.229 with 41,67% of passing percentage. Lastly, in cycle II, the average acquisition of reading comprehension skills increased to 81.062 with 87,5% of passing percentage.. Finding shows that the PQRST methods has been proven to be successful in improving the reading comprehension skills of grade IV B students at SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta for the academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

Abstract. This classroom action research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes, especially in the reduction material. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on Mathematics about the reduction by using contextual learning models are expected to improve student learning outcomes. The contextual learning method is a learning concept that helps teachers associate the material they teach with real-world student situations and encourage students to make connections between the knowledge he has and its applicationin their daily lives. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the object of research in class I SD Negeri 2 Gatak. The focus of the research on the reduction of contextual learning is an effort to improve the learning outcomes of Mathematics. Data collection is done by direct observation of the learning process. The results showed that there was a significant increase of student learning outcomes in pre-cycle learning activities, cycle I and cycle II. The increase can be seen from the average value of students and the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes from KKM which is determined at 65. Based on the results of these observations it can be concluded that the application of Mathematics subject matter reduction learning contextual learning models can improve student learning outcomes in class ISD Negeri 2 Gatak. Furthermore, the results of this study can be used to improve learning with similar cases.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills of social science lessons using the TGT (Team Games Tournment) type of cooperative learning model. The research conducted was classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles and in each cycle two meetings were held. The subjects of this study were students of grade SDN Karangsem 1 Ssurkarta with a total of 33 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The data analysis technique used in this study refers to the Miles-Huberman data analysis technique. The results of the study in the first cycle showed the percentage of students completeness of 30%, and the study continued in the second cycle which showed a percentage of students completeness of 77%. This proves that the application of the TGT type of cooperative learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of 5th grade students at SDN Karangasem 1 Surakarta.

Abstract

The objective of the reserach is to describe how to apply the Guided Note Taking (GNT) learning model that can improve learning activeness in social learning for fourth grade students of Ngadipuro Elementary School in Blora Regency. The type of research is Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the research consisted of fourth grade teachers and all students of fourth grade totaling 21 students. Data collection techniques used tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. Source triangulation techniques and data collection triangulation techniques used for data validity. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis techniques with the stages are data reduction, presentation of research data, and drawing conclusions. As results, students' learning activeness increased in five indicators of the pre-action increasing in cycle I, and again increasing in cycle II. The five indicators of learning activeness in this study include paying attention and writing material, asking questions, expressing opinions or ideas, discussing classical problem solving, and presenting learning outcomes. Application of the GNT model can increase student learning outcomes marked by in classical completeness in pre-action by 61.90% increased in cycle 1 to 76.19%, and increased in cycle II to 85.71%. The conclusion of this research is the application of the GNT model can increase the learning activity of fourth grade students of Ngadipurwo Elementary School in social learning.
