Abstract

Punagaya waters are one of the seaweed cultivation locations in Jeneponto Regency. In 2005, a power plant was built at that location. This development has raised concerns, especially for seaweed farmers in the area. The sustainability of seaweed cultivation and production in Punagaya waters is primarily determined by the water quality and several other related aspects. The purpose of this study was to find information on the physical and chemical conditions of Punagaya waters used for seaweed cultivation after the construction of the power plant (PLTU) and the possibility of contamination of Plumbum (Pb) and Cadmium (Cd). Samples for physical and chemical measurements of seawater were carried out in-situ at the study site, while the chemical analysis of water in the form of nitrate, phosphate, plumbum (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) was carried out in the laboratory. The results showed that the physical and chemical conditions of the Punagaya waters used for seaweed cultivation after the PLTU construction were still within the permissible limits for seaweed cultivation. However, it needs to be aware of the high-temperature value. The value of heavy metals is still in the lower limit for cultivation for seaweed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving several organic fertilizer formulations to the intensity of soybean leaf rust disease and its production, which in turn can increase farmers' income in this area. The study was conducted using randomized block design (RBD) with 3 replications. The treatments were husk ash, compost, chicken manure, and goat manure. The parameters observed included leaf rust disease intensity, disease progression rate, plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, weight of 100 seeds and weight of seeds per plot. Data analysis was performed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), if the treatment has a significant effect, it is followed by the DMRT test at the 95% level. The result showed that (1) the fertilizer formulation given caused different responses to the parameters of soybean rust disease intensity, plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, weight per 100 seeds and weight of seeds per plot, (2) The best fertilizer for controlling soybean leaf rust disease is goat manure, and (3) the best fertilizer formulation to produce production is abusekam with a production of 2156.66 gr / plot (equivalent to 3.594 tons / ha)

Abstract

Environmental degradation and the utilization of excess are very influential in a reduction of thepotential of Turbinidae Gastropod Resources. Morphology of shells can changes due to adaptation tothe surrounding environment resulting in misidentification. This study aims to analyze morphology andmolecular character of Turbinidae. Morphometric analysis is done by comparing the measureddimensions of the shell, while the molecular identification is done by using the DNA barcoding usingCOI gene to species identification. The results showed a comparison of growth between thedimensions shell of the Lunella sp. showed the negative allometric and positive allometric. Characterof shell growth between dimensions of the Lunella sp. shows the negative allometric and positiveallometric. Molecular analysis identified Turbinidae was found Lunella sp. its similar to DNAsequence Lunella sp. Sulawesi. The molecular analysis identifies Turbinidae found is Lunella sp. withsimilarities of 98.41 and 98.31%. The environmental conditions can affect change the morphology andgenetic of Turbinidae. DNA barcoding has been successful to identify Turbinidae gastropods.

Abstract

One of the efforts that can be made to increase the yield of red chili plants is by providing nutrients, one of which is the supply of organic fertilizers such as poration. Poration is fermented organic matter using bioactivators / bio-fertilizers M-Bio which functions to fertilize the soil and increase plant growth and yield. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best poration dose for palm waste and chicken manure for growth and yield of red chilies. This research was conducted from July to December 2020, at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Siliwangi University, Mugarsari Village, Tamansari District, Tasikmalaya City with an altitude of 374 meters above sea level. This research was conducted with an experimental method using a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The results of this study indicate that the measurement of poration of palm waste and chicken manure has an effect on the growth and yield of chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan ekstrak buah keben sebagai bahan anestesi pada benih ikan mas. Ekstrak buah keben digunakan sebagai perlakuan dengan dosis masing-masing 0 mL/L (kontrol), 1 mL/L, 1,5 mL/L dan 2 mL/L. Parameter yang diamati adalah waktu sedatif, waktu induktif, kelangsungan hidup dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada perlakuan 2 mL/L merupakan waktu sedatif 15,5±0,72(P< 0,05), waktu induktif 12,25±0,42 (P< 0,05) dan kelangsungan hidup 93,33±0,27 (P< 0,05) yang terbaik serta kualitas air yang normal.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besar hasil tangkapan ikan dan udang nelayan lokal dan non lokal serta untuk menganalisis besarnya pendapatan nelayan lokal dan non lokal terhadap UMR. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode survei, wawancara, kuisioner. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan simple random sampling dan sensus. Data dianalisis dengan rumus analisis biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan dan perhitungan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata penerimaan nelayan lokal tradisional dimusim rendah sebesar Rp 4.498.125/bulan sedangkan pada musim tinggi Rp 16.275.625/bulan dan untuk nelayan non lokal tradisional dimusim rendah sebesar Rp 2.760.000/bulan sedangkan pada musim tinggi sebesar Rp 13.759.310/bulan. Rata-rata pendapatan nelayan lokal tradisional dimusim rendah Rp 3.340.334/bulan sedangkan pada musim tinggi sebesar Rp 15.062.155/bulan dan untuk nelayan non lokal tradisional dimusim rendah sebesar Rp 1.396.563/bulan sedangkan pada musim tinggi sebesar Rp 12.306.571/bulan, namun untuk pendapatan pertahun dalam perbulannya nelayan lokal tradisional sebesar Rp 6.412.528/bulan dan untuk nelayan non lokal tradisional sebesar Rp 4.684.092/bulan dengan tingkat persetanse terhadap UMR Kabupaten Merauke pada nelayan lokal tradisional sebesar 55% dan untuk nelayan non lokal tradisional sebesar 75%.

Abstract

Usaha tani padi sawah dengan sistem (Tabela) tanam benih langsung sudah mulai banyak dikembangkan oleh petani saat ini, termasuk di Desa Buntulia Utara Kecamatan Buntulia Kabupaten Pohuwato. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) Untuk mengetahui tingkat pendapatan padi sawah dengan sistem (Tabela) tanam benih langsung di Desa Buntulia Utara Kecamatan Buntulia Kabupaten Pohuwato, (2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan usaha tani padi sawah dengan sistem (Tabela) tanam benih langsung di Desa Buntulia Utara Kecamatan Buntulia Kabupaten Pohuwato (3) Untuk mengetahui BEP produksi, harga, penerimaan usaha tani padi sawah dengan sistem (Tabela) tanam benih langsung di Desa Buntulia Utara Kecamatan Buntulia Kabupaten Pohuwato. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey, pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara langsung dengan petani, jumlah populasi sebanyak 35 orang. Hasil penelitian (1) Pendapatan rata-rata usaha tani padi sawah dengan sistem Tabela tanam benih langsung di Desa Buntulia Utara Kabupaten Pohuwato dalam satu musim tanam sebesar Rp 14.918.919,00. (2) Usaha tani padi sawah dengan sistem Tabela tanam benih langsung di Desa Buntulia Utara Kabupaten Pohuwato layak untuk dijalankan dikembangkan dengan nilai R/C ratio 6,65 > 1. (3) Usaha tani padi sawah dengan sistem (Tabela) tanam benih langsung di Desa Buntulia Utara Kabupaten Pohuwato mengalami break even tidak untung dan tidak rugi jika produksi yang dihasilkan 144 kg, harga jual Rp 654,00 dan penerimaan Rp 116.792,00.

Abstract

Ikan asap yang biasanya disebut oleh masyarakat sebagai ikan asar merupakan produk hasil olahan masyarakat di Kelurahan Hinekombe Kabupaten Jayapura. Salah satu pengolahan ikan asap yang merupakan sentra produksi penjualan ikan asap yang selama ini dipasarkan di pasar Prahara Kota Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura yaitu industri rumahan. Mengingat produk yang dihasilkan dalam usaha tersebut yaitu bersifat musiman, sehingga penting memperhatikan aspek ketersediaan dan keberlanjutan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis kelayakan usaha ikan cakalang (Kasuwonus pelamis L) oleh masyarakat pengolah ikan asap di Kelurahan Hinekombe Kabupaten Jayapura. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan menganalisis secara finansial dan mengetahui besar total biaya produksi, penerimaan, total pendapatan, dan Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C Ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ratio keuntungan Wiji dan Sumiarsih > 1. Perolehan nilai Ratio tersebut memberikan gambaran bahwa usaha pengolahan ikan asap layak untuk dilanjutkan.

Abstract

This research aimed to find pests' presence and identify the types of pests that attack long bean plants and the symptoms of attack seen on plants in Abe Pantai Hamlet, Asano Village, Abepura District, Jayapura City. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a survey research approach. In this survey, three kinds of data collection techniques were carried out: Interview, Observation, and Literature Study. Observations were made to determine the main types of pests that attack long bean plants in each experimental unit. The types of pests observed will be divided into three groups, namely: 1) Pests that attack plants in the morning (06.00 – 08.00); 2) Pests that attack plants during the day (11.00 – 13.00); 3) Pests that attack plants in the afternoon (16.00 – 18.00). All observations were made two times, namely two days of observation, with the distance between the first and second observations being seven days. The observation target was on plant parts that were suspected of being attacked, namely leaves, petioles, stems and long bean pods. The results of this study showed that the pests found in the long bean plantation area in Abe Pantai hamlet, Abepura District, Jayapura City were nine types of pests, namely: grasshoppers, caterpillars, aphids, armyworms, koksi beetles, green ladybugs, flower caterpillars, leaf-rolling caterpillars and pod borer caterpillars of long bean plants.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the quality of "Dwitrap" 1 kg sago flour by providing soaking treatment with various types of water: water from Kampung Tambat; well water; mineral water; and gallon water for 12 hours and 24 hours of soaking time to achieve the quality of sago flour according to SNI 01-3729-2008. The results obtained indicate that the treated sago flour has a quality following SNI 01-3729-2008 in terms of the water content parameter (KA), about 13%. The pH values ​​ranging from 6-7 also indicate that the sago flour produced does not contain excess organic acids, which can cause sago to have an acidic taste. The content of crude fibre and fineness of flour that passes a 100 mesh sieve obtained is not yet with the SNI quality standard, so it is necessary to make improvements in the sago processing process, for example, with a sieving machine so that the fibres from the sago stalks are not included and reduce the quality of sago flour. The results obtained indicate that soaking treatment improves the quality of "Dwitrap" sago flour.
