Abstract

Lack of education, low skill levels, the more competitive nature of the job market, laziness, a lack of discipline, a lack of drive to live, and a failure to uphold religious principles are all contributing factors to unemployment issues. The aforementioned factors have led the Pariaman City/Padang Pariaman Regency government to prioritize the skills of its human resources through the Motorcycle Mechanic Training program offered by the Pariaman City/Padang Pariaman Regency Job Training Center. In this study, various training obstacles such as individuals who attend training against their will, without knowing the direction and objectives to be met, without commitment, who merely show up to fill in time instead of finding another job, and so on were found at the Job Training Center of Pariaman City. To overcome the problems and obstacles that occur, the efforts made by the Job Training Center of Pariaman are to provide direction, motivation, and intensive assistance according to the needs of participants by the instructor. In addition, it also holds mental, physical, and disciplinary honing activities, provides external assistance by psychologists, and provides training and seminars related to job access in collaboration with private companies invited by the Job Training Center of Pariaman City, Padang Pariaman Regency. The training held can assist local governments in tackling unemployment problems in Padang Pariaman Regency.

Abstract

The research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the obligation to provide dowry in marriage at the time of the marriage contract from a juridical, sociological, and philosophical perspective. This research is normative legal research (Doctrinal Research) with an interdisciplinary approach. The results of the research state that legally dowry is not a pillar of marriage, therefore negligence in its implementation does not cause the marriage to be annulled and valid, however, the dowry must still be given by the prospective husband to the prospective wife either in full or in part in cash or postpone it. Sociologically, because the law is always dynamic, the application of dowry is adjusted to local community habits. The essence is that dowry does not burden men and also does not degrade women. Philosophically, giving a dowry is not just at a transactional and materialistic level, but a dowry is essentially a form of seriousness and love as well as the groom's appreciation for the bride he will marry. Therefore, women must accept the dowry happily as a respect for their dignity and not interpreted as a buying and selling transaction against themselves.

Abstract

Islam openly accepts differences in human beliefs on this earth. According to Islam, diversity is considered a necessity, so differences in beliefs are also normal. However, the social reality that occurs is that there are still practices of religious discrimination in society, such as the case of religious discrimination carried out by a group of Muslims in Tambora against local Hindus. This article aims to develop the concept of counseling as an effort to handle problems. The research method used is a literature study with data collection techniques from books and journal articles. This research produces the concept of a counseling group approach using the REBT technique as an alternative to eliminating negative prejudices that hinder the birth of tolerance. The REBT technique used also adopts Islamic values. This step aims to suppress irrational beliefs by refreshing the meaning of inclusive Islam. In the process, it is hoped that it will be able to support the formation of an attitude of tolerance in the Muslim community in Tambora.
