Abstract

Soil  worms (Lumbricus rubellus) are widely used as traditional medicine for thypus or thyphoid fever, because it is easily got and easy to use. Usage the soil ucages is boiled and it’s water is used for tratment, beside it can be used in power form and the pathaged in capsules can also be in the form of extracts. The poupose of study was to determine the inbibition zona  of soil worms (Lumbricus rubellus) to the growth of Salmonella typhy. The riset war dine in BBLK( (balai Besar Laboratothim Kesehatirn) from June-july 2011. The type of study war pre-eksperimental The sample was 1000 gram soil worms. The soil worm (Lumbricus rubellus) war hoped can be used as a traditional medicine to inhibit the growth Salmonella typhy The method used was kirby bauer. The prirniple of examinination war to use varius concentrations of soil worms (Lumbricus rubellus)from 10% - 50% concentrate to inhibit the growth of  Salmonella typhy The resuls showed minimum diamets of inhibition zona was 9 mm for 20% concentration  and maxunum diamets was 18 mm for 50% concentrate. Therfor it is hoped that people use soil worm (Lumbricus rubellus) as a drug for typhus (typhoid fever).

Abstract

Insects are very important  role in the ecosystem. Among these roles are: herbivory, predation, parasitism, decomposition, pollination, and so on. In addition the role of insects have also been used as an indicator species. Several recent studies indicate that insects exhibit responses that indicate the level of damage to forest habitats. To see how far the influence of the change will be seen flying insect diversity at both locations using window traps. This method was chosen because it will see the role of the flying insects that can be used as indicators of land use change on stratification of the tree which is in both locations expected goal in this study were 1) to determine the level of insect diversity at both forest sites 2) To determine the effect of changes in the forest insect conditions in each forest stratification. From this reseach it was found that the highest density levels are apparently heterogeneous forest there are 29 families 41 species and 119 individuals from arrest (day and night), while 22 families monocidture forest with 32 species and 98 individuals for whom the level of diversity among heterogeneous forest monoculture forests in monoculture forests range 2.14 <H <2.84. While in heterogeneous forests ranged from 2 <H <3 and the third similaty index was not significantly different strata.

Abstract

Email Spam is email that is sent to thousands of email users in a sustainable manner Typiclly, it contains unwanted promotional priduct, service, business, pornographi, viruses and emails. This study uses Neural Network whith a back propagation methods as email classification. The email will be extracted based on header that consists of content type, sender domains, the perfix which is based an the stages of extraction ward, removing every stopword  word, removing affixes and TFIDF calculation. The emails which are used in this study were taken from Spam Assassin. Based on this research, neural network which mostly used back propagation method are able to classify emails based on its cargoy.

Abstract

Mathematics is a univeral saence that underlies the derhpment of modent  technology, it has an imporlant rulein avariety of lisapirnes and advansce the human intelled. To master and create technologies  in the future need strongs math master early  on. Mathematics courses should be given to all students ranging form elementary school to equip students with the ability to think logically, analytica, systematic, critlica and crative, as well as the ability to coopelute. These capabilities can be obtained throigh the process ofplanmn implementing and evaluasi good learning evaluation. In the implementation, besides appronate method also niquired the use of appropiiate media which one of the psapose is in onler to the abstract concept of mathematics is shown in form of concrete. So that it is understanable. In learning fraction the feather can use manipulative materials from paper as alternatir media. Throub this media, the students are expected to manpulative, so the concept presented easier to understand.

Abstract

National education aims to develop the potential of students to become a faithful and pious human bevig to God the Almigty, to have noble character, health, knowledge, skills, creativity, independence, and become demotratic and accountable durigns. The formulation of national education goals is fundamental in the development of the nation’s character In a more narrow context such as mathematical context, the character is more emphasized on attitude and personally and also manners such as being critics, native, logica1 and flexible, persistent, precise and accurate besides, the other 18 values and characters that have been raised by Puskur (2011). The purpose of this paper writing is to describe the character values existed and can be developed in the learning of mathematics, as well as to describe the implementation of character education in learning mathematics. From this discussion it can be conchided that in the learning of mathematics actually contains the values of character, namely consistency, compliance, discipline, balance, creative, and innovative.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to derivate Boole rule integmtion using the 4th  order of Newton-Gregory Polynomial and Richardson earapolation. The form formula is applied in pascal programming to find the solution of definite integeral toward continue function and function that is tabulated.

Abstract

The research about pH Chamctarion of Aspergillus versicolor 3a1 a-Amylase Produced on cassava liquid Waste Media was conducted from February 2004-March 2005. The pH thamcteriation of a-amylase Aspergillus versicolor 3a1was done at Labhoratory of Microbiology, Biology Department, Faculty of Maihematic and Natural Science, Bogor Agricultural Univerciy. The aims of this experiments were to produce and to characterize pH of Aspergillus versicolor 3a1a-amilase from cassava liquid waste media. Cassava liquid waste media contains 1 % cassava starcb, 1% yeast extract, 0.13% KH2PO4, and 0.05% MgSO4 diluted in cassava liquid waste. The process pH charactetization of Aspergillus versicolor 3a1 a-amylase was done: isolate regenerition,crude extract production of Aspergillus versicolor 3a1 a-amylase, pH characterization crude extract in ranges 4-9 with optimum temperature and incubation times for 10 minutes. The result proved that a-amylase crude extract from Aspergillus versicolor 3a1 from cassava liquid waste showed its highest specific activity at pH  5; 26.13 U/mg.

Abstract

Noise is sound exessive, unwanted and often called the “invisible pollution” that causes phisical effects and pychologica1 effects. Physical effects assodated with the transmision of sound waves through the air, while the pychological effects associated with the human response to sound The purpose of this research is to study variations in the distance between the bariier to the sound produced by the sound source. The method used is an experimental method, which is taking data directly form the field. Retrival of data nouse using a Sound Level Meter, The results show that the distance of 0.5 cm between the barrier can reduce noise by 5.04%, 1 cm distance between the banier can reduce noise by 3.22%, and 2 cm distance between the barrier can reduce noise by 1.36%. It can be concluded that to reduce the sound coming out, can be done by varying the distance between the baniers

Abstract

Discovery learning model is one model that can increase student activity in the learning process so that students seek and find their own knowledge. This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning model on the cognitive improvement of students on Biology material in X class. Research method used in this research is quasi experiment with research design of Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in the study consisted of 5 classes totaling 256 students. Sampling is used by using simple random sampling technique. The sample of this study is X MIA 1 class as experiment amounted to 37 and X MIA 3 class as the control class amounted to 45 students. In the learning process, the experimental class is treated by using discovery learning model and control class is taught with conventional model. The results of this study indicate that the average Ngain of the experimental class is 0.56 which is in the medium category and the average N-gain for the control class is 0.30 which belongs to the low category. Data analysis using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tarithmetic = 7,470 while t-table = 1,667 seen that t-arithmetic> t-table. This can be seen from the calculation of cognitive t-test showed students sig. t-arithmetic 0.000 <0,05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The result of the analysis of the average increase of cognitive completeness of the experimental students. In the experimental class reaches 32.65% while the cognitive students in the control class is 12.42% which means that the cognitive of the experimental class is higher than the control class instudent's cognitive. Thus, it can be deduced that the Disccovery learning model has an effect on the students’ cognitive improvement on X class student biology material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of active learning strategy type everyone is a teacher here to the results of students' Biology learning. This type of research is a quantitative research. The population used is the entire class VIII in one school in Musi Banyuasin Regency which consists of three classes. The technique used is purposive sampling technique, from three classes of population are taken two classes that are used as sample of experimental class and control class that is class VIII.1 and VIII.2 with the number of students as much as 54 people. Data collection is done by giving test and questionnaire of student responses. After the data obtained from the research results then the data is analyzed by 2 ways, namely by inferential analysis techniques and n-gain. Inferential technique is used to find out the influence of active learning strategy type everyone is a teacher here on student learning outcomes. The results showed that there is a positive influence of the use of active learning strategy type of everyone is a teacher here on student learning outcomes, it can be seen from the t-test that is tcount 4,167> ttabel 1,675 and significance value 0,000<0,05, hence Ha accepted and H0 is rejected, and based on the comparison of mean values and the percentage of student learning outcomes indicates that the experimental class is superior to the control class.
