Abstract

Pavement will cause tensions continuously due to traffic loads which may result in damage to the pavement. For this case, the detection and repairation of damage early on pavement will prevent damage which may be developed into a pavement failure. Survey of  the condition of the road is one of the early efforts made ​​, in this case drive comfort is the most important part of the driver in assessing the road conditions which are influenced by the level of the ruggedness of  road surface . To find out the level of flatness of the road, which is now developed method is the measurement of flatness roads using NAASRA methods with general settings on halda as 100 m , but with this setting, we can  still found  highly enough  in ruggedness which  has caused many feeling uncomfortable while driving. This is what underlies  research of ruggedness or commonly known as IRI by comparing it with halda 50m and 200m in  the general Settings. This study uses the International Roughness Index (IRI) in determining the level of discomfort regarding road driving stability. IRI value is​​ obtained from direct field observations using roughometer-NAASRA. Based on the analysis result, getting a better result such as  relatively small IRI value, therefore the settings halda 50 would be better  used. But with a better  rate  the sensitivity of  the road  handling is likely reduced. This is in contrast with the halda settings 100 which will produce values ​​that tend to be large, but with the result, the priority levels of  handling will be better.

Abstract

Infrastructures should be planned and designed based on the required capacity in the future to provide good service. Methods of railway capacity that is commonly used in Indonesia is still adopted from other countries. It is then modified but it is currently still inefficiencies because operators have not dared to use to the fullest method of railway capacity. Therefore, the calculation methods of railway capacity should be reviewed and developed as well based on the reality in Indonesia. It is expected that the efficiency of railway operation system increases. The analysis was performed with the following steps; collecting the secondary data and the literature reviews. The results of the literature reviews stated that there are various factors that affect the railway capacity; the number of trains, heterogeneity, stability, speed, infrastructures, operation system, train length, time delay, junctions, intermediate signals, resources, scheduling, number of tracks, signal distance, termination, and maintenance. Based on the literature study, it is required further research on the development of the capacity calculation model for railway in Indonesia.

Abstract

The size of the quality urban transport services can be divided into two major categories, quantitative measures and qualitative measures. Quantitative aspects of the measures is that the service can be assessed with a number and size of the qualitative measures is an assessment of the difficult aspects of the service can not even expressed in a value size figures. In this paper discussed a way to specify a standard rating scale quantitative research from a desire urban passenger transport in Yogyakarta in terms of walking with a questionnaire based on the values of the existing benchmark values that already exist. Results scale assessment as benchmarks of walking distance for urban passenger transport in Yogyakarta with the level of service A (< 225 meters), the level of service B ( 225-325 meters ), the level of service C ( 325-475 meters ) and the level of service D (>475meters). Results quantitative performance value scale urban transportation, can be made as a benchmark for assessing a condition urban transport areas in other cities along the scale and conditions of a city that is considered similar.

Abstract

Passenger car equivalence (PCE) is the conversion factor of various types of vehicles to become passenger cars. Passenger car equivalence function is to make uniform heterogeneous traffic flow into homogeneous traffic flow. The value of passenger car equivalence of each type of vehicle is different in each size, because every road has different traffic characteristics and geometric condition. This study was conducted in order to get the appropriate value of passenger car equivalence in the research area. The researcher colleted the data of traffic volume and the road’s geometry using Primer survey. The analysis method that is used to get the value of passenger car equivalence is multiple linier regression analysis. The finding values of passenger car equivalence in the PB. Sudirman street (2/2 UD) are MC = 0,32 and HV=2,31, the Ahmad Yani street (3/1) are MC= 0,34 and HV= 1,3. While, based on MKJI 1997 the passenger car equivalence values of PB. Sudirman street are MC=0,4 and HV = 1.3, andthe Ahmad Yani street are MC = 0.25 and HV = 1.3.So, the different values of passenger car equivalence in Sudirman Street are with rasio 11% for MC and 28% for HV. While, in Ahmad Yanistreet the different values are with rasio 14% for MC and 37% for HV. So that, in morning peak hours the value of DS regression in BP sudirman is smaller than MKJI and the difference is 7%. while in Ahmad Yani street, the value of DS regression is bigger than MKJI and the diference is 9%.

Abstract

Waiting time is one factor that affects the quality of service of bus system. The longer the waiting time experienced by passengers, the lower level of satisfaction of Bus Rapid Transit passenger received. The purpose of this study is to analyze passenger waiting time and to analyze the effect of headway to the passenger waiting time distribution of Trans Metro Bandung bus route 2. Data analysis shows that the waiting time of passengers based on one week data fits with exponential distribution with an average value as much as 12.56 minutes. Analysis also shows that the waiting time of passengers at any headway group fit with Weibull distribution. Comparison of passenger waiting time among headway intervals have no significant difference.

Abstract

Test characteristics of Marshall stability and flow generating value. Marshall test can use two types of tools, test equipment digital and analog test equipment. Digital test equipment in use and reading of data using a computer system. While analog test equipment in use and reading of data processing manually. This study used a mixture of AC-WC with optimum bitumen content of 6.5% were obtained from the results of the preliminary test, then made 28 test specimens (2 x 14). Marshall testing were performed using the Marshall test equipment. This study was guided by the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) preformance testing materials, mixing aggregate with asphalt, and the Marshall test. Based on the results of volumetric analysis and testing of Marshall characteristic analysis showed an average difference of two of the digital and analog test equipment there is no real difference. The average value of the results of the analysis and testing of the Marshall characteristics using a digital test equipment was obtained: density (kg / m 3) = 23,6; VMA (%) = 18,69; VIM (%) = 4,80; VFA (%) = 74,37; stability (kg) = 2165,00; flow (mm) = 4,11; MQ (kg / mm) = 574,48. Analog test equipment is obtained:: density (kg / m 3) = 23,6; VMA (%) = 18,76; VIM (%) = 4,88; VFA (%) = 74,01; stability (kg) = 2000,67; flow (mm) = 3,60; MQ (kg / mm) = 585,73.

Abstract

The role of sea transport is still quite small in supporting the economic activities, which consequently gives a relatively small contribution to poverty reduction. From the network side, sea transport reaches most cities and towns in Indonesia. However, the quality of service both in port and during the trip still needs to be improved. Most of the poor live in the Eastern part of Indonesia that has the characteristics of archipelago, so the sea transportation has a great chance to participate in poverty alleviation programs in this area. Government, through the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Poverty Reduction (MP3KI), has provided great opportunities for the development of infrastructure as one of the assets that should be developed in the reduction of poverty. Through the SWOT analysis (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), several strategies can take are: Keep in sea transport development strategy of optimizing both intermodal and multimodal scheme so as to play a major role in poverty alleviation in Indonesia, There needs to be policies that favor (affirmative policy) to the marine transport modes, so that may play a role in poverty alleviation, especially in eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

Depok Baru Station is one of the crowded station in jabotabek station because there is an intermodal outflow between rail modes of transportation to land mode. There is no clear pathway for pedestrian so that makes uncomfortable. This research is to analyze the characteristc of that pedestrian flow between 07:00:00 to 08:00:00 and 17:00:00 to 18:00:00 pm by dividing into 5 sections. The 5 sections are Depok Station New to ITC Depok, Depok Baru Station Baru to Terminal Depok, Depok Baru Station to market, ITC Depok to market, Terminal Depok to Market. The results of this research, obtained on the area in the morning, from Depok Baru Station to Market is 3407 (org.m / min) with a level of service B and in the afternoon, from Depok Baru station to ITC Depok is 3.5 (org.m / min) with a level of service A. The result of this research can be made clear pedestrian pathways and comfortable.

Abstract

Tlogorejo’s hospital is located on Jl. Ahmad Dahlan, Semarang and has a very strategic location because it is located in the city center of Semarang. The existence of these hospitals lead to higher side friction, especially illegal parking on the road shoulder. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of these hospital especially caused by illegal parking on the shoulder of the road and the side friction aroun the hospital. This data were collected by survey in front of Tlogorejo Hospital, Semarang. This Data were taken include traffic volume, side friction and population data. From the survey that was done, the value of the weight frequency side friction in front of the Hospital in the amount of 582.9 veh / h and the percentage reduction in road capacity value of 48.27%.

Abstract

High intensity of rainfall in tropical region causes the subgrade often geting a deteoriation of soil support that influences the pavement performance on it. Therefore, in the Kalimantan West province the type of pavement, rigid pavement, was widely applied. In this paper a study regarding with a evaluation of pavement  using Cement Treated Base on link of Simpang-1 Belitang – Belitang in Sekadau regency with applying a Hammer test and CBR test on the field was already undertaken which the result as a second opinion of  academic contribution. The results suggest that the pavement is still a good performance to serve road traffic which compression strength was above 125 kg/cm2 and the CBR test was above 125%.
