Abstract

Unsignalized Intersection in Tegal city, especially Banjaran intersection, recently have a traffic congestion potency. The major streets to the economy centre and residential center causes this. The research was conducted at the three arm unsignalized Intersection. The survei was held on the morning peak hour, peak hour at noon, and evening peak hour. The survei held at Banjaran intersection on Friday and Saturday. The analysis used the Indonesia Highway Capacity Manual 1997. The purpose of the analysis is to acknowledge the traffic stream condition that has access to enter the unsignalized intersection. Within the result, it could be acknowledged that the degree saturation is 1,09, the average delay ismore than 25 second/pcu and queue probability is more than 48,38 %. These indicate that intersection condition is bad. Banjaran intersection needs traffic signal because the performance intersection have been poor and the unsignalized intersection can not be accepted any more.

Abstract

Fare determination is one of the strategies in transportation management in campus area especially to solve parking problem. This study aims to find the value of the willingness to pay of student for using parking facilities based on parking duration and quality of facilities. Analysis shows that there is significant different in the average of WTP for different group of parking quality. This study also found that the characteristics of travel and activities influence the value of WTP, where it is not only influenced by economic capability. Student who are young and more active in conducting travel tends to show higher willingness to pay.

Abstract

Campuran bergradasi menerus memberikan stabilitas dan kekakuan yang tinggi namun rentan terhadap keretakan. Campuran beraspal panas Laston pengikat (AC-BC) dengan menggunakan Aspal Modifikasi Elvaloy diharapkan dapat menjadi lapisan perkerasan yang memiliki kestabilan yang tinggi namun juga tahan terhadap kelelahan. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan mengevaluasi pengaruh Aspal Modifikasi polimer Elvaloy di dalam campuran Laston Lapis Pengikat (AC-BC) berdasarkan kriteria kelelahan (Fatigue) dengan menggunakan campuran aspal Pen 60/70 dan aspal modifikasi polimer Elvaloy yang dihasilkan dari aspal Pen 60/70 yang dicampur polimer Elvaloy sebesar 1,5% dan 2,5%. Modifikasi Elvaloy meningkatkan Stabilitas Marshall campuran Laston AC-BC. Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO) meningkat dengan penambahan polimer Elvaloy. Hasil pengujian Marshall Immersion menunjukkan Indeks Kekuatan Sisa (IKS) campuran Elvaloy lebih tinggi dari Aspal Pen 60/70.  Pengujian Kelelahan dengan Four Point Loading Test menunjukkan bahwa campuran yang memiliki Ketahanan terhadap kelelahan terbaik adalah campuran dengan aspal modifikasi Elvaloy 1,5%. Diantara campuran Aspal Pen 60/70, Elvaloy 1,5%, dan Elvaloy 2,5%, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Elvaloy 1,5% memiliki kinerja stabilitas dan kelelahan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The increasing of air transportation traffic that is beyond the existing airport capacity leads to the airport congestion problem. Handling the airport congestion problem can be done by increasing the airport capacity. There are many studies conducted to assess airport capacity. This study used a different approach in analyzing the airport capacity. We use subjective approach that explore the perception of managers as the actors involved in the decision-making process. By using the theory of probabilistic causality, we analyzed the factors that contribute in increasing the capacity of the airport, as well as the impact on the costs and the benefits. This paper is limited to the descriptive analysis, as the basis for further studies.

Abstract

Under the terms of the capacity, the railway mode is more efficient in terms of moving passengers and goods as to accommodate more passengers and goods than bus modes. Moreover, when there are obstacles in the road such as road maintenance progress, and hole on the road, flooding, existence of demonstration and others, bus modes will not be able to serve passenger well. However in terms of mobility and flesibility the bus is more flexible than the train because it hasn’t limited by the schedule The government started to build new tracks to reduce the delay in the arrival of trains and increase the frequency of train departures. The new tracks are expected to make better services for passengers and goods. Under these conditions, they need to do research on the possibility displacement modes of transportation on passengers. Stated Preference technique used to obtain data on the willingness of passengers to switch modes by distributing questionnaires to Surabaya-Mojokerto line passengers. Those questionnaire are distributed in three terminals which are Joyoboyo Terminal (Surabaya), Purabaya Terminal, Bungurasih (Sidoarjo), and Kertajaya Terminal (Mojokerto). The obtained data were analyzed using Binary Logistic Regression. The result shown that respondent who spent 45 minute willing to move from bus to train is 27,13% whilst 60 minute is 48,10%. Considering the money spending of the respondent each time travel using bus in which stated as Rp. 15.000 it’s only 12,02% who are willing to move from bus to train.

Abstract

To determine the level of service of an intersection should be calculated on the performance. And in Indonesia, intersection performance calculations performed using the method MKJI. MKJI methods have software that is KAJI. Along with the changing times, there are other software that circulated in Indonesia, one of which is the PTV Vistro. In contrast to KAJI, this software using HCM 2010. Therefore necessary to analyze the results of calculations both the software. In this study, both the software used to calculate the performance of several examples of intersections in Jember. And then the results of the calculation of performance compared. The analysis shows that at signalized intersections, KAJI and PTV Vistro produce the same degree of saturation pattern. However PTV Vistro tend to produce better performance than the KAJI. Whereas in unsignalized intersections, both the software shows a different pattern.

Abstract

Headway is an important factor for public transport users and operators, since headway is one of the quality of service indicators of public transportation system. The purpose of this study is to describe the headway of bus Trans Metro Bandung (TMB) in the corridor of Cicaheum-Cibeureum and analyze the headway distribution. The statistical distribution of TMB’s headway in each shelter has similardistribution, namely the gamma distribution with average as much as 27 minutes. Study results show that the headwaydistribution for one week data observation has gamma distribution with average as much as 27 minutes.

Abstract

Using shredded rubber in SAMI mixture should be designed to obtain the aggregate structure that had a locks each other optimally. The research aimed to obtain the composition of SAMI material that design by shredded rubber in the mixture. Dry compaction test was performed to the mortar mixture to obtain the optimum composition of sand-filler. Two kind of filler were investigated were stone dust and cement portland. Analysis of density and porosity mortar were performed to obtain the target porosity that was used in the calculation of SAMI composition in the following proportion: 0%, 5%, 10% and 20% of shredded rubber by 0%, 5%, 10% and 20%. The results indicated that the optimum value of stone dust or cement filler in mortar mix by 30%. Use of stone dust filler 40% can produce the porosity value better than cement filler mortar, but this percentage need to be evaluated because design by high level filler cause the mixture of SAMI tends to brittle and easy to crack.

Abstract

The Aims of this study is suggests a set of scheme on road safety policy improvement in Yogyakarta by firstly understanding the road user perception on current road safety programmes related to the ongoing problems, then analyse it along with other actor’s role in achieving sustainable transport. “The Five Pillars” as current road safety action plan are followed to actualize safe mobility and “zero accident”. Using Yogyakarta as a case study within the Research Design, this qualitative study are conducting triangulation technique in data collection. The Study Empirically describe the present situation and gain the road user perception by marriage with The Theory of Planned Behaviour, Sustainability, Value Creation and Hongkong’s Transport Policy in theoretical part. It indicates according the Results, there still existed a gap of perception between road users and road safety officer due to the existence of irregularities within the road safety programs implementation.

Abstract

Understanding individual travel behaviour in urban space is essential for transportation planning. Considering that most of travel is a derived demand from the need to engage in activities, hence predicting individual responses, particularly gender role on short term activity adaptation decision is effective in understanding the relationship between travel behaviour and daily activity. In the information era, widespread adoption of smartphones, which is the result of convergence of Information and Communication Technology, potentially influences activities of mobile professionals. They use smart phone as a tool to improve the productivity and to assure the efficiency of their “travelling” as a part of their daily mobile work. Result of survey, which consists of interviews and simulation using stated adaptation in the Greater Jakarta Area provides basic pattern of response by gender that occur when information was received during implementation of activities. The proposed rule is a potentially valuable concept to predict changes in planned activity schedules as a function of unexpected event.
