Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of elementary school teachers in Makale District, Tana Toraja regarding the personality competence of school principals.The research method used is quantitative research with a phenomenological approach. This research was carried out at UPT SDN 3 Makale, UPT SDN 5 Makale, UPT SDN 6 Makale, and UPT SD Kristen Makale 2. The research population was all elementary school teachers in Makale District, totaling 209 teachers. Determination of samples using the Slovin formula. The data analysis technique is carried out by processing all data that has been obtained in the field and then testing its validity so that reliable research results are obtained.The results of the research explain that teachers' perceptions of the personality competence of school principals in Tana Toraja, especially in Makale District, are very good. This is shown in the teacher's perception of the principal's personality competency where teacher recognition is at a percentage of 71% - 96% strongly agreeing with the statement given while agreeing at 8.8% - 47%. This means that the personality competency of the school principal is in accordance with the mandate of National Education Ministerial Decree No. 13 of 2017 concerning School/Madrasah Principal Standards.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between parents and the character of responsibility in class IIIB students at MI An Nuur Cahaya Umat.The research method used is quantitative with a correlation research type approach. The research population was 17 class IIIB students at MI An Nuur Cahaya Umat. The independent variable is parental support, while the dependent variable is the character of responsibility. The data collection method is in the form of a questionnaire guided by a specific scale. The data analysis technique uses Pearson Porduct moment analysis from Karl Person with the simple help of IBM SPSS 26. The research was carried out at MI An Nuur Cahaya Umat in August-November 2023.The results of the research show that based on the calculation results regarding the relationship between two variables, namely in the parametric technique with paired sample t with a significance result of (0.314) in the insignificant category and a Pearson correlation score of (-0.260) in the weakly correlated category. So the results of this study do not correlate between the relationship between parental support and the character of responsibility. So it can be concluded that the higher or too pampered the support given by parents to their children, the lower the student's responsible character will be. On the other hand, if the support provided by parents is low or does not pamper the child too much, the child will have a good level of responsible character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students' opinions about the English for International Communication (EIC) program, which is followed by students of Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK) and managed by UPT Bahasa. The method of this research is descriptive research with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 800 students who participated in the EIC program in 2019 from 13 undergraduate study programs in the UMK environment, but there were only 665 respondents who filled out.  The questionnaire contains 14 closed-question items, which include teaching methods, teaching materials, media used, evaluation as well as interest and mastery of the material. used, evaluation as well as interest and mastery of the material. In addition, there is a special item that asks about native speakers as the EIC teaching team. The data collected was then analyzed based on the theme by using percentages. The data was then analyzed based on theme of the question items and made a percentage. The finding shows that they have a positive perception of the EIC program, particularly on the aspects of motivating students, teaching method, teaching media, and native teacher. Some recommendations are proposed for the university to make the program better in the future.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in character training.The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research was carried out from March to June 2023. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The informants in the research were the principal and class I and IV teachers at Mertoyudan Innovative Elementary School. Data sources were obtained from informant information and documentation data. The informant selection technique uses purposive sampling. The data validity technique uses triangulation of source data and data. Data analysis uses a qualitative data analysis model.The results of the research state that there are 5 steps in planning the Pancasila student profile project, namely: forming a project facilitator team for strengthening the Pancasila student profile, identifying the level of readiness of the educational unit, designing dimensions, themes and time allocation for the project strengthening the Pancasila student profile, Developing project modules, designing a strategy for reporting project results. The implementation of the learning project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students is in order to shape children's personalities in accordance with the profile of Pancasila students. In the learning implementation stage, the project for strengthening the profile of Pancasila students is not much different from intracurricular learning activities, however, the learning project for strengthening the profile of Pancasila students is packaged more lightly and fun. Some of the activities carried out are preparing learning resources or tools and materials, dividing groups, introduction stage, action stage and reflection or sharing stage. P5 activities carried out include; Make a VASE from paper mache, make a doormat, make a pencil case from used materials.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to improve children's gross motor skills through creative step play at Aisyiyah Kindergarten.The research method used is classroom action research with a cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 20 group A children at Aisyiyah Kindergarten (10 boys and 10 girls). The research location was Aisyiyah Kindergarten with a sample of all group A children in Aisyiyah Kindergarten. Data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation. The data validation technique used in this research is method triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysisThe results of the research show that the application of creative play steps in developing children's physical motor skills, showing a very significant will in achieving the success target of this research. The success obtained is as follows: The success obtained in developing children's physical motor skills can develop well until it reaches 75%, as the achievement of the success target has been determined. Through the application of creative step play, children can improve their gross motor skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the critical thinking skills of Gadjah Mada University students through a citizenship project-based learning model.The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The techniques used to collect data use observation, interviews, and document and archive searches.The results of this research show the citizenship learning strategy implemented at Gadjah Mada University using citizenship projects. Students are directed to be able to analyze citizenship problems in social, national and state life and find solutions in a creative idea outlined in a project. Citizenship project-based learning strategies can improve creativity skills, think critically, search for information and utilize ideas and information related to citizenship issues. As a follow-up to this citizenship project, students can invite various levels of society to participate in implementing the ideas contained in a citizenship project.

Abstract

This research aims to take a space that has not received attention in the field of education that intersects with the complexity of community elements towards religious minority groups. Therefore, it is important to tackle the conception of pluralism in the implementation of non-Muslim religious-based education as a representation of the diversity of multicultural values of Madura. This research uses a qualitative methodology with an ethnomethodological approach. This study focuses on the assumption of "subjectivity" through the interpretive actions of community members who produce and organize daily experiences related to inter-religious tolerance values. The focus of this study concern a views of stakeholders, including the organizational structure of educational institutions and local government officials regarding the implementation of non-Muslim religious-based education as a representation of minority groups. Bangkalan Regency was chosen as the research location, referring to the highest proportion of Christian and Catholic population among the four regencies on Madura Island. The results of this study show the attitude of tolerance between religious communities as a representation of pluralism, especially for religious minority groups in the field of education provision that occurs in Bangkalan Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how to use the learning media Huparo (Huruf On Rotating Wheel) can improve the reading ability of the beginning class 1B SDN Percobaan 2 Depok on Indonesian language subjects. The research method used is Class Action Research. (PTK). This class action research model uses the Kemmis Mc Taggart model that consists of four steps, namely: planning, action and observation, and reflection. The study was conducted in August-December 2023 at SDN Percobaan 2 Depok with a total of 28 students in the strange semester of the academic year 2023/2024. Data collection techniques are carried out using tests, observations of students and teachers, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use pre-cycle scores and post test results of cycle 1 and cycle 2 students of class 1B SDN Percobaan 2 Depok. The result showed students' ability to read early in Indonesian language learning using Huparo (Huruf On Rotating Wheel) teaching media in Class 1B SDN Percobaan 2 Depok in the strange semester of the 2023/2024 academic year experienced an improvement in students' learning outcomes from pre-cycle by 57.14%, cycle 1 by 71.31% and cycle 2 by 91.61%. So, the learning media is very accurately used in a classroom learning that is passive and the student's starting reading ability is low.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine (1) the variety of collections owned by the IKIP PGRI Pontianak history laboratory related to the inventory of city history stories in West Kalimantan, and (2) the role of the history laboratory in the inventory of city history stories in West Kalimantan, (3) student activities in the History education study program laboratory.The research method used is a qualitative method with a fixed case study strategy. The research was conducted at the History Education Laboratory of IKIP PGRI Pontianak and the West Kalimantan region. The data sources in this research are student informants and resource persons who can provide information about the history of the cities of West Kalimantan and the role of the history laboratory in inventorying the history of the city of West Kalimantan, the location of cities in West Kalimantan, documents in the form of letters, archives , photos or recordings.The collection techniques used in the research were direct observation, in-depth interviews, reviewing documents and archives (content analysis) regarding the role of history laboratories in inventorying the history of the city of West Kalimantan. Data validity uses source triangulation and method triangulation.The results of the research show that the IKIP PGRI Pontianak History Laboratory hasthree rooms, namely the Spatium Historica Didactica as an office administration room, the Agus Sastrawan Noor Spatium as a discussion and creation room, and the Sudarto Spatium as a West Kalimantan local history room which is used in collecting an inventory of the city's history. The role of the history laboratory in inventorying the city's historical stories is as a center for collecting and storing scientific historical information, and maintaining the accuracy and authenticity of historical stories and providing a deeper understanding of the history of the city and its people.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) model compared to the Think Pair Share (TPS) model in improving critical thinking skills and learning outcomes on the subject of diversity in elementary school. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data analysis results indicate that there is a difference in the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model in enhancing critical thinking skills and learning outcomes on the subject of diversity for fourth-grade students in elementary school.The research obtained data from two research samples, with the average post-test scores of the experimental group 2, which was given the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model treatment, being 82.84, higher than the average post-test scores of the experimental group 1, which was given the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model treatment, which was 72.06. Thus, it can be concluded that the students' scores with the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model are higher than those with the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model. This is evident from the difference in the average post-test scores of the students, with the t-test results showing t-calculated t-table, i.e., 4.198 2.048.
