Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) and the use of information system on the Flight Safety in the Indonesian Air Navigation Services Organization both partially and simultaneously. The research uses quantitative methods, and the data are analyzed using linear regression, simple correlation both partially and simultaneously and path analysis. The result shows; implementation of Safety Management System (X1) as measured by the Flight Safety (Y) has a positive and significant contribution on the level of Flight Safety.  The amount of the application contribution of Safety Management System that directly contributes to the Flight Safety is 35.4%, so the research hypothesis which states that the Safety Management System application directly impacts significantly on Aviation Safety is accepted; the use of Information Systems (X2) as measured by the Flight Safety (Y) has a positive and significant contribution on the level of Flight Safety. The use of information systems contributions that directly contributes to aviation safety is 38.4%, so the hypothesis which states that the use of information system directly affects significantly the flight safety is acceptable; the total effect of simultaneous application of Safety Management System (X1) and the use of Information Systems (X2) contribute significantly to the Flight Safety (Y) as much as 66.3%. The remaining 33.7% is the influence of the other factors such as refresher and development training for air navigation personnel, aviation navigation equipment renewal and observation flight

Abstract

This research aims to cluster prospective passenger high speed rail service corridor Jakarta-Bandung to compensate the rapid development Bandung City as one of the favorite tourist destinations for domestic and international visitors. The data analysis Method is using non-hierarchical cluster and sampling technique by random sampling with 280 respondents. The results show that there are three clusters of prospective passenger for high speed rail service with different characteristics. The first clusters are those who depend heavily on their private vehicles, the second cluster which is the largest cluster has logical ridership characteristics and the last cluster is a group that has a high level of concern for the environment.

Abstract

The existence of Port Jangkar has a very important role in supporting economic activities and equitable development in Situbondo since water transport is one of the modes of transportation that connects the island of Java and Madura Island. This study uses a quantitative approach. The theory used is proposed by Supranto (1990). The results showed that the productivity of freight traffic crossings serving Jangkar-Kalianget experienced decrease in revenue both passenger and goods transport by an average of 16, 6 percent. Based on the results of forecasting, demand for transportation, Break Even Point (BEP) load factor of 21 percent was achieved in 2011. In 2012, the company suffered losses in terms of transportation operating income due to declining productivity of vessel transport. In 2012 cruise companies suffered losses due to large vessel operating expenses exceeded the income from the vessel (BOK> Revenue) with the operational costs of Rp297,763,505; and vessels revenue of Rp2,709,255,500. Thus, in 2012 it was needed to subsidize the sustainability of Ferry transportation, because the Ferry transport activities cross Jangkar-Kalianget- Sapudi Island still has the potential transport demand and still needed the surrounding community.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the scheme of reverse logistics for pasteurization chain marketing management using fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach. The triangular fuzzy was using five classes of classification. The result shows that the scheme could be applied to pasteurization in Indonesia by implementing a unit of milk waste processing. Though developing reverse logistics is important, there is another approach which is more important; risk mitigation for pasteurization. The strategies needed to be done are improving cold chain management for chain marketing management, improving supply and demand planning process, and improving a unit of bioethanol process.

Abstract

Airport is a vital subsystem in the air transport system which has an important and strategic role in smoothening air traffic, so that an airport must be designed to be always ready in all situations and conditions to serve airline flights securely, orderly, smoothly, and quickly. The frequent delay faced by Indonesian domestic scheduled airlines is not fully caused by internal factor of the companies. Instead, it can be caused by the airport factor. The problems faced by airports in Indonesia which have impacts on the performance of flight punctuality among other things are capacity, slot time, quality of flight navigation devices, accessibility, professionalism of  airport and ATC human resources, infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and the human resources handling security and safety of flights in airport. This article recommends that an in-depth study should be carried out to map the interrelations between the airport factor in the flight delay related to facilities integration and the airport authority in the flight activities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Transportation is a major component given its function as an important supporting system for mobility of society, as a result, the existence of public transport both within the city and the suburb is really necessary. Para transit transportation in many areas in Indonesia including in Jakarta also play an important role in supporting the transportation system as a whole. In fact, in Jakarta there are still many passengers are dependent to this mode of transportation. Therefore, there is a need to conduct a study focusing in how this sub-urban transportation system take its role as a connecting hub from rural areas to the urban areas. Using of qualitative and quantitative methods, data analysis clearly shows how the suburb public paratransit carries passengers (named KWK) in East Jakarta, in this case PGC- Mekarsarui route,is valued important by the community and it has been running well.
