Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi korelasi antara berat badan, Size-Spesific Dose Estimate (SSDE), dan dosis efektif pada pemeriksaan Computed Tomography (CT) scan abdomen di instalasi RSU Dadi Keluarga. Keterbatasan parameter dosis konvesional seperti CTDlvol dan DLP yang bersifat phantom based dan kurang merefleksikan variasi anatomi pasien khususnya pada populasi lokal menjadi salah satu alasan mengapa hal ini perlu dievaluasi. SSDE dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan akurasi estimasi dosis dengan mempertimbangkan dimensi tubuh sementara berat badan telah diusulkan sebagai prediktor praktis diameter efektif. Data dikumpulkan dari pasien dewasa yang menjalani CT abdomen non-kontras pada periode Januari-Oktober 2025 menggunakan consecutive sampling. SSDE dihitung dengan mengalikan CTDIvol dan faktor konversi AAPM Report 204. Dosis efektif diperoleh melalui perkalian DLP dan koefisien k dari ICRP 103. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan SPSS 27 melalui uji korelasi dan regresi untuk mengetahui kontribusi variabel independent. Hasil menunjukkan variasi korelasi dengan nilai koefisiensi berturut turut SSDE (r=0,392) dan dosis efektif (r=0,401). Hasil analisis uji simultan pada kedua variabel menunjukan bahwa diameter efektif yang memberikan kontribusi signifikan sebagai prediktor dosis. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi sudut penyudutan arah sinar terhadap kualitas citra radiografi vertebra servikal pada proyeksi Anterior-Posterior (AP) ke arah cephalad. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitik dan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Radiologi Politeknik Muhammadiyah Makassar. Objek penelitian berupa phantom servikal yang dipaparkan sinar-X dengan variasi sudut 0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 25°, dan 30° menggunakan parameter eksposi yang seragam. Setiap citra radiograf dievaluasi oleh dua orang dokter spesialis radiologi berdasarkan tingkat keterbacaan struktur anatomi vertebra servikal menggunakan lembar penilaian terstandar. Data hasil penilaian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Friedman untuk mengetahui perbedaan kualitas citra antarvariasi sudut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kualitas citra radiografi akibat variasi sudut penyudutan (p < 0,05). Sudut 10° menghasilkan nilai rerata peringkat (mean rank) tertinggi sebesar 2,21, yang menunjukkan kualitas visualisasi anatomi paling optimal, dengan kontur tulang yang jelas, ruang antarvertebra terbuka, serta minimnya tumpang tindih struktur. Sebaliknya, sudut ekstrem seperti 25° dan 30° menunjukkan penurunan kualitas citra yang ditandai dengan elongasi bayangan dan berkurangnya kejelasan struktur anatomis. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyudutan sinar memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas citra radiografi servikal, dan sudut 10° merupakan sudut yang paling optimal pada proyeksi AP cephalad. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan teknis dalam praktik radiografi servikal untuk meningkatkan kualitas diagnostik sekaligus mengurangi potensi eksposi ulang.

Abstract

Based on the seasons in Indonesia, tobacco is classified into two types: cigar tobacco (Na-Oogst) and cigarette or kretek tobacco (Voor-Oogst). Tobacco seeds contain around 36-41% oil, which has the potential to be a renewable energy source. Biodiesel is one of the renewable alternative energy sources that has received much attention because it is a clean and green energy. Biodiesel is produced from triglycerides through a transesterification reaction with homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. Heterogeneous catalysts are more attractive because they can be regenerated and are environmentally friendly. The advantages of this catalyst are that it has good catalytic activity due to its large surface area and superior stability. Zeolite H-ZSM-5 appears as a solid acid catalyst with a promising microporous structure for esterification and transesterification reactions. In this study, TiO2 doping was added to improve the performance of the H-ZSM-5 catalyst. TiO2 is a leading photocatalyst because it has chemical, biological, and non-toxic stability. Furthermore, to determine the success of the synthesis of H-ZSM-5/TiO2 as a nanocatalyst, XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX Mapping characterization was carried out. The results showed that the addition of TiO2 which has a particle size distribution of 46.07 nm in the synthesis of H-ZSM-5/TiO2 did not cause changes in structure and degree of crystallinity. The experimental parameters of transesterification that were varied were catalyst concentration. The results of the transesterification reaction yielded the highest methyl ester of 87.5% at optimum reaction conditions and a catalyst concentration of 2% w/w with a molar ratio of oil and methanol (1:12). The synthesized methyl ester has a characterization value that enters the range of SNI biodiesel values, so that the synthesized methyl ester has the potential to be used as biodiesel. We hope that this research can inspire researchers related to heterogeneous nanocatalyst research that is more efficient and rational and has good stability in the production of sustainable renewable fuels.

Abstract

Hasil pengukuran nilai resistivitas sebanyak 26 titik pengukuran yang tersebar di Kecamatan Cintapuri mencakup wilayah Desa Pabaungan Hilir, Pabaungan Pantai, Pabaungan Hulu, Sungai Rantau, Muting Dalam, dan Sewaja. Nilai resistivitas batuan 0-10 Ωm diinterpretasikan sebagai litologi tanah lembek/berair; 10-30 Ωm sebagai lempung pasiran;  30-100 Ωm sebagai pasir; 100-300 Ωm sebagai kerikil-kerakal; > 300 Ωm sebagai batuan dasar. Pada kedalaman 5 m memiliki potensi sebagai akuifer air tanah yang baik (jika berupa pasir/kerikil). Bagian tengah didominasi lempung pasiran yang merupakan zona transisi material antara endapan halus (lempung) dan endapan kasar (pasir/kerikil). Tren dari kedalaman 10-50 m menunjukkan penurunan progresif nilai resistivitas dan penghilangan total material berbutir kasar (pasir/kerikil). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa potensi air tanah yang baik (akuifer) pada sedimen aluvial dangkal di daerah ini sangat terbatas atau sudah tertutup sepenuhnya oleh lapisan lempung yang tebal, yang berfungsi sebagai pembatas hidrolik. Pencarian akuifer yang produktif di daerah ini perlu diarahkan ke kedalaman yang jauh lebih dalam, melampaui 50 m, untuk menembus formasi lempung dan mencapai batuan dasar atau lapisan pasir tertutup (confined aquifer) yang lebih dalam.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of mangrove cover in the Kuala Lupak Nature Reserve, South Kalimantan, using multitemporal Landsat imagery and Random Forest classification on Google Earth Engine. Two vegetation indices, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Mangrove Vegetation Index (MVI), were applied to improve mangrove discrimination across observation years (1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020). The results indicate that MVI tends to provide more stable classification performance compared to NDVI, with overall accuracy values generally exceeding 0,90. The analysis of mangrove change shows a decreasing trend over the 30-year period, with a total loss of 1,857.15 ha and a gain of 318.15 ha, resulting in a net loss of approximately 1,539 ha. However, these results are derived from classified satellite data and may be influenced by classification uncertainty, sensor differences, and environmental variability. Therefore, the findings should be interpreted as indicative trends rather than exact measurements. This study highlights the potential of integrating remote sensing and machine learning approaches for long-term monitoring of mangrove ecosystems and provides useful information to support mangrove conservation and management strategies.

Abstract

Bajuin District is a sub-district located in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan, where there is gold mining around the river basin. Gold mining activities are often a source of pollution, especially heavy metals, to the aquatic environment. This study aims to determine the content of heavy metals and the morphological characteristics of magnetic minerals in river sediments in the gold mining area. Heavy metal content measurement was carried out using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) instruments and magnetic mineral morphology was carried out using Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) instruments. The results of measurements using XRF in river sediments found heavy metals Fe (2,495.40 – 4,395.83), Mn (51.40 – 70.60), Cr (18.60 – 107.93), Ni (8.03 – 21.87), V (9.33 – 12.77), Cu (5.53 – 13.50), and Zn (4.60 – 6.33) in ppm units. The results of magnetic mineral measurements based on SEM show that magnetic minerals are octahedral and irregular. Meanwhile, the results of EDS measurements show that the main constituent elements of magnetic minerals are Fe and O which indicate magnetic minerals. In addition, elements Al, Si, Sc, V, Cr, Zn, Au, and Hg were also found. The results of this study provide important implications for environmental conditions in Bajuin District, especially related to the potential for increased heavy metal pollution due to gold mining activities around the river.

Abstract

Illegal gold mining (IGM) activities, utilizing mercury (Hg) in their processing, have the potential to pollute and impair river functions. Therefore, a study was conducted to analyze the water quality status of the Kapuas River due to IGM activities in Sekadau Regency based on physical and chemical parameters. Water quality status was determined by comparing observations at the research site with quality standards using the Pollution Index (PI) method. In this scientific paper, the physical parameters tested are turbidity, conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and water temperature. In contrast, the chemical parameters tested are pH, dissolved oxygen (DO),  Iron (Fe), Hg, lead (Pb), and manganese (Mn). Based on the research results, the parameters that meet the quality standards are TDS, TSS, pH, Hg, Pb, and Mn. Parameters not meeting the quality standards are turbidity, conductivity, water temperature, DO, and Fe. The PI value obtained was (5.25 ± 0.008). Based on the PI value, the water quality status was classified as moderately polluted. The TSS parameter exhibits a radial pattern from the pollution source, indicating that the measured TSS values decrease with increasing distance from IGM activity.

Abstract

Magnetotellurics (MT) is a passive geophysical method that relies on the principles of electromagnetic induction to delineate subsurface resistivity distributions. This study implements the Neighborhood Algorithm (NA) for one-dimensional (1D) inversion of MT data to overcome local minima traps and analysis model uncertainty. The performance of the NA is evaluated using the Rosenbrock function and synthetic MT data. The evaluation results show that the NA successfully achieves convergence with a misfit of less than 2.0 on synthetic data with 5% added Gaussian noise. Furthermore, the NA is applied to field MT data from Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii. The performance of the NA in modeling the field data is compared to a conventional approach, namely the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm. The field data modeling results demonstrate that the NA (misfit 1.99) outperforms the LM algorithm (misfit 2.52). Additionally, the NA provides supplementary information in the form of a posterior probability density that maps the model's uncertainty bounds. The resistivity model, supported by uncertainty analysis, strengthens the information at Kilauea Volcano regarding the presence of a low-resistivity (conductive) zone at a depth of less than 3 km, which is associated with a shallow magma chamber (partial melt) or saline fluids.

Abstract

The Pangandaran earthquake on July 17, 2006, with a magnitude of Mw 7.7, was a tsunami earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami along the southern coast of Java, causing extensive damage and claiming many lives. This study aims to analyze the distribution of Coulomb stress change (ΔCFF) resulting from the 2006 Pangandaran earthquake based on Nodal Plane 1 (NP1), Nodal Plane 2 (NP2), and a finite fault model as validation references. ΔCFF modeling was performed using a rectangular fault plane approach, with interpolation conducted at depths ranging from 0 to 40 km in 10-km intervals to identify the depth yielding the most representative stress distribution. Analysis results indicate that NP1 with strike 284°, dip 9°, and rake 87° at a depth of 10 km produces a ΔCFF distribution pattern most consistent with and representative of the aftershock distribution and closest to the finite fault model pattern. The stress loading zone (ΔCFF > 0) extends northward from the epicenter toward the southern coast of Java, indicating an increased potential for aftershocks in that segment. Meanwhile, the stress-shadow zone (ΔCFF < 0) in the central to western regions reflects the location of the main slip release. The shallow geometry of the NP1 fault plane (dip 9°) contributes to the extensive stress loading zone, reflecting the characteristics of the Sunda subduction megathrust interface. The results of this study indicate that the 2006 Pangandaran earthquake significantly transferred stress to the western and eastern segments of the subduction zone, implying a potential hazard of subsequent seismic activity in the southern Java region.

Abstract

This article uses a PRISMA flowchart-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to analyze the role of Gauss's Law in the design of high-energy dielectric capacitors for electric vehicles. Through a synthesis of 17 recent studies (2019–2025), this article identifies three main themes: (1) the application of Gauss's Law in electric field distribution analysis, (2) optimization of dielectric geometry and materials, and (3) the potential application of high-energy capacitors in electric vehicle power systems, especially as high-power components in inverters and regenerative braking. The results show that understanding the field distribution based on Gauss's Law is key to improving the energy density (>18 J/cm³) and operational reliability of capacitors. This study confirms that Gauss's Law is not only a theoretical principle, but a practical engineering foundation for sustainable energy storage technologies.
