Abstract

AbstractThe environment-based curriculum has not been simultaneously conceptualized and has not been optimally integrated into learning activities in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary school). Furthermore, the Madrasah environment as a learning resource has not been fully utilized. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find out how an environment-based curriculum was applied during the Covid-19 pandemic and to describe the strengthening of character values in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum, Cirebon City, West Java. Observation, interviews, and documentation were employed to collect data. The collected data were then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The data analysis was interactive and triangulation was used to ensure data validity. The results showed that the implementation of the environment-based curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum during the Covid-19 pandemic was integrated into subjects through activities such as house-waste recycling, land management and tree planting at home, energy-saving habits, and plastic-use reduction at home. The results suggest that teachers instill environmental awareness from an early age and use the environment as a learning tool.Keywords: curriculum implementation, environment, Covid-19 pandemic. AbstrakKonseptualisasi kurikulum berbasis lingkungan hidup belum diketahui secara simultan dan belum terealisasikan secara optimal dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Lingkungan Madrasah sebagai sumber belajar juga belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kurikulum berbasis lingkungan hidup diterapkan selama masa pandemi Covid-19 dan mendeskripsikan penguatan nilai-nilai karakter di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum Kota Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Analisis keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum berbasis lingkungan hidup di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum selama masa pandemi Covid-19 diintegrasikan ke dalam mata pelajaran, kegiatan pemanfaatan sampah di rumah, pengelolaan lahan dan penanaman pohon di rumah, kebiasaan hemat energi dan mengurangi penggunaan plastik di rumah. Hasil penelitian menyarankan agar guru dapat menanamkan kepedulian lingkungan sejak dini dan memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sarana belajar.Kata kunci: implementasi kurikulum, lingkungan hidup, pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

AbstractEcoliteracy is an awareness about the importance of saving the environment from potential hazards. Consuming local food is part of ecoliteracy which can be introduced through digital teaching materials. This research aims to produce such materials based on Betawi local food to increase ecoliteracy in elementary school students. The approach used was research and development involving 52 grade IV elementary school students from two different schools in East Jakarta for a small-scaled trial. Product validation was carried out through qualitative descriptive analysis by classifying information from inputs, suggestions, responses, and criticisms acquired from data collection instruments. Quantitative descriptive data was also used to process data obtained through tests and questionnaires in the form of descriptive percentages. Results show that digital teaching materials based on Betawi local food can be implemented in learning and can increase student ecoliteracy effectively in the aspect of head (cognitive). Based on these results, the product is ready to be implemented on a large scale and can be enhanced to increase students’ ecoliteracy.Keywords: digital teaching materials, Betawi local food, ecoliteracy.AbstrakEcoliteracy merupakan kesadaran akan pentingnya melindungi lingkungan dari potensi kerusakan. Mengonsumsi pangan lokal merupakan bagian dari ecoliteracy yang dapat diperkenalkan melalui bahan ajar digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar digital berbasis pangan lokal Betawi untuk menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah research and development yang melibatkan 52 siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dari dua sekolah yang berbeda di Jakarta Timur untuk uji skala kecil. Validasi produk dilakukan melalui analisis data deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan informasi berupa masukan, saran, tanggapan, dan kritik yang terdapat dalam instrumen pengumpulan data. Data deskriptif kuantitatif juga dilakukan untuk mengolah data yang diperoleh melalui tes dan angket dalam bentuk persentase deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produk bahan ajar digital berbasis pangan lokal Betawi dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran dan efektif menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa pada aspek head (kognitif). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, bahan ajar siap diimplementasikan pada skala besar dan dapat dikembangkan untuk menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa.Kata kunci: bahan ajar digital, pangan lokal Betawi, ecoliteracy.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to investigate the relationship between online learning and scientific literacy of students in fifth grade of elementary school in the Covid-19 era. Employing a correlational research design, this study involved 54 fifth grade students of an elementary school in Bandung City, Indonesia. The data were collected using a scientific literacy test referring to the indicators of PISA 2018 and a questionnaire in an online learning evaluation. The analysis of the data was carried out using descriptive statistics through calculating the average and percentage scores. The data were also analyzed using inferential statistics in the form of the Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between online learning and scientific literacy. The results of this study revealed that, based on the Pearson correlation test, the sig score was 0.81. There was no relationship between online learning and scientific literacy of fifthgrade students of elementary school. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve the scientific literacy of elementary school students, one of which is through optimizing online learning.Keywords: online learning, scientific literacy, elementary school.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara pembelajaran daring dengan literasi sains siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar (SD) di era Covid-19. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian korelasi, penelitian ini melibatkan 54 siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung, Indonesia. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes literasi sains yang merujuk pada indikator PISA 2018 dan kuesioner pada evaluasi pembelajaran daring. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan menghitung skor rata-rata dan persentase. Data juga dianalisis menggunakan statistik inferensial berupa uji korelasi Pearson untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pembelajaran online dan literasi sains. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, berdasarkan uji korelasi Pearson, diperoleh skor sig 0,8. Pembelajaran online tidak memiliki hubungan dengan literasi sains siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Maka dari itu, perlu ada upaya untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar, salah satunya dengan mengoptimalkan pembelajaran online.Kata kunci: pembelajaran online, literasi sains, sekolah dasar.

Abstract

AbstractThe corruption phenomenon in Indonesia must get all parties’ attention, including education. The failure to resolve it seriously will lead to the nation’s destruction. This study aimed to explore how anti-corruption characters were integrated into Islamic education instruction at elementary schools. This study used a qualitative descriptive method focusing on Islamic education instructional practices of 10 in-service teachers involved in the Professional Teacher Education Program Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo Semarang. Data were collected through documentation and observation and were analyzed using descriptive analytical techniques. The results of this study proved that Islamic education subjects could be a good medium for strengthening anti-corruption characters through integrating anti-corruption values in Islamic education instruction. Hence, to become a massive movement, it is necessary to formulate more operational and binding policies to conduct anti-corruption education at all levels of education, especially at elementary school levels.Keywords: anti-corruption characters, Islamic education, integration, professional teacher education program, instruction. AbstrakFenomena korupsi di Indonesia harus mendapatkan perhatian dari semua pihak, termasuk dunia pendidikan. Kalau tidak diselesaikan secara serius, korupsi di Indonesia dapat membawa negara Indonesia menuju kehancuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakter antikorupsi diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang berfokus pada praktek pembelajaran PAI 10 guru yang terlibat dalam Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Dalam Jabatan Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo Semarang. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi dan observasi, dan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif analitis. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa mata pelajaran PAI dapat menjadi media yang baik bagi penguatan karakter antikorupsi melalui integrasi nilai-nilai antikorupsi dalam pembelajaran PAI. Sehingga, agar menjadi gerakan yang massif perlu dirumuskan kebijakan yang lebih operasional dan mengikat untuk menyelenggaran pendidikan antikorupsi pada semua jenjang Pendidikan, khususnya pada jenjang sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: karakter antikorupsi, Pendidikan Agama Islam, integrasi, Pendidikan Profesi Guru, pembelajaran.

Abstract

AbstractThis study describes the initial ability of teachers in carrying out online learning activities. This research was conducted through survey research involving 154 elementary school teachers in Pelalawan and Rengat Regencies, Riau Provinces as the research samples were taken by purposive sampling. Research data were obtained through a survey using google forms and distributed via WhatsApp. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inferentially using SPSS version 26. Based on the data analysis, it was identified that 97 teachers (63%) choose a combination learning model between offline and online as the most frequently learning model used during the covid-19 pandemic. In carrying out the learning process, 93 teachers (60.4%) chose schools as teaching locations. Regarding the quality of the internet in schools, 110 teachers (71.4%) assessed that the quality of the internet in schools was good and could support learning activities. Furthermore, teachers also apply various ways of teaching online learning, for example, 50 teachers (32.5%) choose to provide interactive material through online media and 45 teachers (29.2%) ask students to learn to use textbooks and give assignments to students in the form of assignments on worksheets, projects, books, etc. The main obstacle for teachers during online learning is that they find it difficult to observe student progress and have difficulty communicating with parents. The efforts made by teachers to adapt online learning is by providing materials/tasks and establishing basic competencies according to student needs.Keywords: teacher ability, online learning, covid-19 pandemic. AbstrakPenelitian ini mendeskripsikan kemampuan awal guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran online. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui penelitian survei yang melibatkan 154 guru SD di Kabupaten Pelalawan dan Rengat, Provinsi Riau sebagai sampel penelitian yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui survei menggunakan google form dan disebarluaskan melalui WhatsApp. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui bahwa 97 guru (63%) memilih model pembelajaran kombinasi antara offline dan online sebagai model pembelajaran yang paling sering digunakan selama masa pandemi covid-19. Dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran, 93 guru (60,4%) memilih sekolah sebagai lokasi mengajar. Terkait dengan kualitas internet yang ada di sekolah, 110 guru (71,4%) menilai bahwa kualitas internet yang ada di sekolah sudah baik dan dapat mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, guru juga menerapkan berbagai cara dalam mengajar pembelajaran online, misalnya 50 guru (32,5%) memilih memberikan materi interaktif melalui media online dan 45 guru (29,2%) meminta siswa belajar menggunakan buku teks dan memberikan tugas kepada siswa berupa tugas pada LKS, proyek, buku, dan lain-lain. Kendala utama guru selama pembelajaran online adalah mereka menemukan kesulitan dalam mengamati perkembangan siswa dan kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi dengan orang tua. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan guru untuk menyesuaikan pembelajaran online adalah dengan menyediakan materi/tugas dan menetapkan kompetensi dasar sesuai kebutuhan siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan guru, pembelajaran online, pandemic covid-19.

Abstract

AbstractDigital literacy is a fundamental competency that must be mastered in the 21st century. Digital literacy skills are the key to presenting interesting, interactive, actual, and factual learning. Therefore, efforts to improve the digital literacy abilities of prospective teachers need to be carried out. The purpose of this research is to explore the efforts that need to be made by teachers and institutions to improve teachers' digital literacy skills. The method used in this research is a literature study. Literature is obtained from various kinds of research articles that are reputable in the national and international spheres. Article analysis was carried out by examining efforts to increase digital literacy skills from each source, and categorizing several efforts into several categories. The results of this study indicate that there are several efforts to improve the digital literacy abilities of prospective teachers, including, procuring partnership programs between tertiary institutions and schools, developing digital-based teaching modules, developing digital web in the learning process, increasing digital literacy skills of prospective teachers using product-based methods, such as making videos/learning media), using problem-solving-based methods, using some frameworks in implementing education, procuring supporting facilities and developing curricula that integrate digital literacy content into each subject.Keywords: digital literacy, prospective teacher, basic education. AbstrakLiterasi digital merupakan kompetensi dasar yang harus dikuasai di abad 21. Kemampuan literasi digital menjadi kunci tersajinya pembelajaran yang menarik, interaktif, aktual, dan faktual. Oleh karenanya, upaya peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital calon guru perlu dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi upaya-upaya yang perlu dilakukan oleh guru maupun lembaga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. Literatur didapatkan dari berbagai macam artikel penelitian yang bereputasi dalam ranah nasional dan internasional. Analisis artikel dilakukan dengan menelaah upaya-upaya peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital dari setiap sumber, dan mengkategorikan beberapa upaya menjadi beberapa kategori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat sejumlah upaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital calon guru, diantaranya, pengadaan program kemitraan antar perguruan tinggi dan sekolah, pengembangan modul ajar berbasis digital, pengembangan web digital dalam prose pembelajaran, meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital calon guru dengan menggunakan metode perbasis produk (seperti membuat video/media pembelajaran), menggunakan metode berbasis pemecahan masalah, penggunaan sejumlah frame work dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan, pengadaan fasilitas yang mendukung dan mengembangkan kurikulum yang mengitegrasikan konten literasi digital ke dalam setiap mata pelajaran.Kata kunci: literasi digital, calon guru, pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

AbstractThe critical thinking skills are an important component to be instilled in elementary schools. The purpose of this study was to test the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students elementary school through the Problem Based Learning model and the Inquiry model based on the interest in learning social science using authentic assessments. Employing a quasi-experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, this study involved 49 fifth grade elementary school students in two classes. A total of 24 students in the experimental class A learned using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, whereas 25 students in the experimental class B learned using the Inquiry model. The data were collected using description tests and questionnaires. The test was based on the level of reliability of 0.551, while the questionnaire with reliability of 0.893 was tested using ANOVA. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of the PBL model in social science learning was quite effective in improving critical thinking skills compared to the Inquiry model. The highest critical thinking ability was in students who had high learning interest in social science learning. This research contributed differently to the improvement of the social science learning process to acquire one of the 21st century thinking skills.Keywords: problem-based learning model, inquiry model, critical thinking.Abstrak Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan komponen penting yang perlu ditanamkan di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V sekolah dasar melalui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan model Inquiry berdasarkan minat belajar mata pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan penilaian autentik. Menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, penelitian ini melibatkan 49 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Sebanyak 24 siswa di kelas eksperimen A belajar dengan model Problem Based Learning, sedangkan 25 siswa pada kelas eksperimen B belajar dengan model Inquiry. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes deskripsi dan kuesioner. Pengujian didasarkan pada tingkat reliabilitas 0,551, sedangkan kuesioner dengan reliabilitas 0,893 diuji menggunakan ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL dalam pembelajaran IPS cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dibandingkan dengan model Inquiry. Kemampuan berpikir kritis tertinggi terdapat pada siswa yang memiliki minat belajar yang tinggi pada pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang berbeda terhadap peningkatan proses pembelajaran IPS untuk memperoleh salah satu keterampilan berpikir abad 21.Kata kunci: model PBL, model inquiry, berpikir kritis.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the teacher's strategy for improving reading comprehension skills of Arabic texts in class v at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary School) in Cirebon City. This qualitative research uses a descriptive approach. The sources of data or informants in this research are Arabic teachers, fifth-grade students, and school principals. The data were collected through observation, in depth-interviews and documentation. Data analysis starts with data reduction, presentation, and interpretation. The results showed that the Arabic teacher's strategies in improving reading comprehension skills of Arabic texts in class V were as follows: 1. Reading texts Aloud, 2; translating texts, 3. Reviewing translation results, 4, Answering questions, 5. Sharing answers, and 6. Repetition. Arabic text comprehension reading skills in class V are quite good, obtaining an average score that has met the minimum completeness criteria. The teacher and student experienced during the learning process reading comprehension skills in Class V supported by the activity of reading the Holy Qur'an every Monday to Thursday, which is carried out after learning activities, recitation activities at home with a teacher of the Qur'an, the availability of a library at school, and studying with peers. Then some of the difficulties faced are the lack of parental support, the habits of students who often play with gadgets, and the lack of availability of book facilities in the library.Keywords: teacher strategy, reading comprehension skills, Arabic text.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemahaman membaca teks bahasa Arab di kelas V di salah satu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kota Cirebon. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data atau informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Arab, siswa kelas V, dan kepala sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data yang dianalisis dimulai dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru bahasa Arab dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemahaman membaca teks bahasa Arab di kelas V adalah sebagai berikut; 1. membaca teks dengan keras, 2. menerjemahkan teks, 3. menelaah hasil terjemahan, 4, menjawab pertanyaan, 5. berbagi jawaban, dan 6. pengulangan. Keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Arab pada siswa kelas V sudah cukup baik dengan memperoleh nilai rata-rata yang telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Pengalaman guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran keterampilan membaca pemahaman di Kelas V didukung dengan adanya kegiatan membaca Al-Qur'an setiap hari senin sampai dengan kamis yang dilaksanakan setelah kegiatan pembelajaran, kegiatan pengajian di rumah bersama guru mengaji, dan tersedianya perpustakaan di sekolah, serta belajar bersama teman sebaya. Kemudian beberapa kendala yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya dukungan orang tua, kebiasaan siswa yang sering bermain gadget, dan kurangnya ketersediaan fasilitas buku di perpustakaan.Kata kunci: strategi pembelajaran, keterampilan membaca pemahaman, teks

Abstract

AbstractDiscussing education, especially Islamic education, humans are debatable regarding their nature. It is closely related to the prophetic gene that causes humans to be positioned as animals who are good at saying, thinking creatures, and educated creations. The method used in this article uses textual exegesis. Education has urgency as fitrah mukammilah (perfect nature) in developing fitrah majbūlah (instilled nature) by referring to fitrah munazzalah (inherited nature), which is the guide in achieving perfection as a person who has self-pity. Educational and pedagogical efforts that are integrated with the belief in the will of Allah SWT are factors that cannot be ignored. In addition to integrating educators' purity, skills, and intellect with their spiritual actualization.Keywords: Islamic education, prophetic genes, the urgency of education, intellectual piety. AbstrakMembahas mengenai pendidikan, khususnya pendidikan Islam, manusia menjadi ajang perdebatan, termasuk menyangkut fiṭrah-nya yang berhubungan erat dengan gen kenabian yang menyebabkan manusia didudukkan menjadi hewan yang pandai berujar, makhluk berfikir, dan ciptaan berpendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam dalam artikel ini menggunakan textual exegesis. Pendidikan mempunyai urgensi sebagai fiṭrah mukammilah (fitrah penyempurna) dalam menumbuhkembangkan fiṭrah majbūlah (fitrah yang ditanamkan) dengan mereferensi kepada fiṭrah munazzalah (fitrah yang diturunkan) yang menjadi petunjuknya untuk mencapai kesempurnaan sebagai insan yang memiliki kesalehan diri. Upaya edukatif dan pedagogis yang terintegrasi dengan keyakinan akan kehendak Allah swt sebagai Maha Penentu merupakan faktor yang tidak bisa diabaikan, di samping unsur integrasi kesalehan ketrampilan dan intelektual para pendidik dengan aktualisasi spiritualnya.Kata kunci: pendidikan islam, gen kenabian, urgensi pendidikan, kesalehan intelektual.

Abstract

AbstractSocial science has an essential role in training students' abilities to interact and participate in society. However, social science learning has complex material, so many students have difficulty in learning social science material. This research aims to answer these problems, namely by developing an Android-based educational game to improve social studies learning outcomes. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model, i.e. Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Collecting data using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, while quantitative data were analyzed using percentage analysis techniques. Based on the validation and trial results, it is stated that this android-based educational game is valid and feasible to use. Android-based educational games are proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes, especially in social science learning. However, some improvements are still being made in accordance with the suggestions and input from the validators and students.Keywords: educational games, android based, social science learning outcomes.Abstrak Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) memiliki peran penting untuk melatih kemampuan peserta didik dalam berinteraksi dan berpartisipasi di masyarakat. Akan tetapi pembelajaran IPS memiliki materi yang kompleks sehingga banyak peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi IPS. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, yakni dengan mengembangkan game edukasi berbasis android untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE, yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Data kualiatatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif, sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan teknis analisis persentase. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan uji coba produk yang telah dilakukan, dinyatakan bahwa game edukasi berbasis android ini valid dan layak digunakan. Game edukasi berbasis android terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya pada pelajaran IPS. Namun demikian, beberapa perbaikan masih dilakukan sesuai dengan saran dan masukan dari para validator dan siswa.Kata kunci: game edukasi, berbasis android, hasil belajar IPS.
