Abstract

The progress of the digital world influences the structure of religious discourse. The development of religious discourse in digital space, especially social media, has run wild without control. One-sided truth claims are getting stronger. So Khaled Abou el-Fadl's offer deserves consideration, namely the morality of discourse as the authority for religious discourse on social media. This research focuses on how the morality of discourse can be used as a basis for the power of religious discourse on social media. This research is descriptive-qualitative, which is a conceptual study using library data. Through a holistic approach, the reference data is analyzed through data reduction and data presentation. The data presented are adapted to relevant perspectives, interpreted based on theories, classified into concepts, and narrated in a new understanding of the phenomenon under study. As a result, discourse morality procedures in the authority structure of religious discourse on social media need to be upheld so that belief in God as the highest authority is not replaced by unilateral claims. In addition, the morality of discourse can also be the basis for government policies to regulate and limit religious discourse discussed on social media.

Abstract

Nowadays, the culinary business has become a promising business for the future. Many people are interested in visiting various areas because one of them is the culinary delights of that area. The city of Singkawag is a city that is famous for its culinary delights. Still, those involved in the business are non-Muslim communities, so the halalness of the products being marketed is a matter of doubt for the Muslim community itself. This research is normative legal research. The approach used in this research is a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. This research aims to ensure that Muslim consumers in Singakwang City are more assured of the halal quality of their food. It also emphasizes the importance of halal certification for the marketed processed food. The government needs to monitor the halal labels used by each business entity because many of the halal labels used do not have halal certification. The government must review the halal certification process, especially the time and costs so that small and medium businesses in Singkawang City can also carry out halal certification for their products. The government's role in controlling the halal labels used by each business entity must continue to be fulfilled, particularly by carefully checking whether the brands installed are halal-certified.

Abstract

The role of shamans in the 2019 local elections is the focus of this study. In addition, the issue of the shaman's position in village elections is discussed in this paper. This study uses a qualitative method. This study relies on primary and secondary data for its findings. The Library Research method was used for data collection purposes in this study. The writer collects information from scientific writings, such as thesis diaries and documents. The author processes the information he collects according to the requirements of the analysis. The research findings show that residents still believe a certain kind of shaman exists. This kind of shaman is used to illustrate when village head elections are held. In regional head elections, especially village head elections, village head candidates develop a belief system to shape social and political attitudes. Whereas shamans rely on mystical reasoning as the foundation of their abilities and take advantage of the mystical devices they have, shamans are used as a guide to progress, what percentage of victory is desired and as a political network for electing village heads and instilling influence over residents so that they get the mass support that shamans have for their political goals.

Abstract

The tradition of uang panai is one of the traditions that is still preserved by the Bugis-Makassar community in marriage. This tradition is in the form of a sum of money the groom gives the bride as a sign of appreciation and seriousness to marry her. However, the tradition of uang panai represented in the movie “Uang Panai Maha(r)l” shows a shift in value and is not based on Islamic values contained in the sources of Islamic law, namely the Al-Quran and Hadith. This study aims to analyze the content of hadith about the tradition of uang panai in Bugis-Makassar marriage customs represented in the film “Uang Panai Maha(r)l”. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a qualitative content analysis technique. The results showed that the hadiths related to marriage do not contradict the tradition of uang panai as long as they are by Islamic teachings. However, the concept of uang panai in the movie “Uang Panai Maha(r)l” is depicted excessively and contains elements of coercion. Thus, the concept of uang panai in the movie is not by the meaning of the hadith, which recommends making it easier for each other to carry out marriage and walimah. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the tradition of uang panai in Bugis-Makassar wedding customs can be justified if it is carried out by Islamic teachings, namely the recommendation of marriage, the recommendation of facilitating marriage, and the recommendation of organizing walimah. This tradition must be carried out wisely and does not contain elements of coercion. Keywords: Uang Panai, Hadith, Bugis-Makassar Wedding, Film
