Abstract

This research was aims to developed, feasibility and compare differences in learning out-comes before and after used Monopoly Games Smart (MGS) learning media on digestive system topic in junior high school IBA Palembang. Research applies Research and Development methods with steps, namely define, design, and development. Egibility was based on the evaluation of media expert and small scale trials. Data collection in this study used interviews, questionnaire and documentation. Analysis tehcnique were including analysis of product data.. The results show that the Monopoly Games Smart (MGS) learning media has significant effect in improving the mastery of concept. Based on students mastery of concept showed that the implementation of learning using Monopoly Games Smart (MGS) is better than convensional. The learning process in the digestive system topic is more effective and student centered which makes students more active in learning and makes the learning process more meaningful. If the learning response is good, mastery of the concept will be good.

Abstract

Guru merupakan profesi yang mengemban mandat Undang-Undang, dalam tugaasnya Guru diamanatkan untuk membekali profesinya dengan kompetensi (kompetensi profesional, pedagogik, sosial, dan kepribadian). Kualitas SDM merupakan titik tolak berkuaitasnya peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetuhi pengaruh Diklat pola In-On-In dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru biologi terutama dalam penggunaan dan servis peralatan laboratorium (Mikroskop). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed method dengan metode analisisnya deskriptif presentatif. Sebagai respondennya adalah laboran dan guru IPA/Biologi. Pengambilan data sampel menggunakan purposive sampling (Guru Biologi dan Laboran ) pada MGMP IPA Kota depok dan Kabupaten Ciamis sebanyak 40 orang. Data kualitas diklat pola In-On-In dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil temuan diperoleh data bahwa 100% peserta diklat belum pernah mendapatkan diklat servis mikroskop; 90% peserta mengakui pentingnya materi diklat untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesi; kualitas diklat pola In-On-In yang dilaksanakan mendaparkan nilai 4,31 (86,27%) kategori sangat efektif; respon peserta diklat diperoleh 47% (sangat puas), 30% (puas), dan 23,33 (cukup puas); dan 100% peserta berharap diklat pola In-On-In bisa diselenggarakan lebih lama pada konten peningkatan kompetensi guru lainnya. Berdasarkah hasil analisis data diperoleh gambaran bahwa diklat pola In-On-In mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menjalankan profesinya sebagai tenaga profesional.

Abstract

Abstract One of the crucial element should be mastered by prospective teacher-students is the content of the material. A low score cognitive learning outcomes can adversely affect future teaching careers. The academic ability factor is believed to be influential in this regard. Applying the right learning model can be the solution. This study aimed to determine the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of pre-service teachers with lower academic abilities after using the RQA learning model. This quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design involved pre-service of Biology Education Study Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang as research samples. The research instrument was in the form of an essay test, and its rubric and the results were analyzed using ANCOVA. The research finding that the pre-service teachers who have the lower academic ability who taught by using RQA learning model got an average score of cognitive learning outcomes that were higher than pre-service teacher who have high academic ability who taught by using conventional learning. Thus, RQA can be used as a powerful alternative learning model to improving cognitive learning outcomes of pre-service teacher. Abstract

In practical activities of animal structure subject, the students needed a handbook that can help them to master the materials through practice activities. Animal development practical handbook based on scientific approach could help students to increased their abilities and competencies in practice activities. The research aimed to describe the developmental process of practical handbook based on scientific approach and to produce a valid, practical, and effective handbook. The research used Plomp models which consisted three phase involving of preliminary research, development or prototype, and assessment phase. The instruments of data collection were obtained from handbook validity sheets, practicality questionnaires for lecturers and students, and observation sheets in order to see the students’ competencies (cognitive and psychomotor aspects). The field test was done by 41 biology students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The data was analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results of the research show us that animal structure practical handbook based on scientific approach is very valid. It meant that the practical handbook has a good quality based on the assessment from the expert of content, constructive, technique, and language. The lecturers and students categorized this handbook as very practical since it is easy to used. The handbook was categorized as effective because the experiment class shows the increasing of their competencies at cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. It is because the students could follow the phases of scientific approach well. Thus, it could be said that the animal structure practical handbook based scientific approach that has been developed was valid, practical, and effective. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran biologi melalui penerapan pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe team game tournament di SMA Negeri 5 Palembang. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri atas tiga kali pertemuan proses tindakan dan satu kali evaluasi. Setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa instrumen non tes berupa lembar observasi, catatan harian, angket sebelum dan sesudah siklus, tes tulis berupan ulangan harian akhir siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe team game tournament dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus I ke siklus II, di mana rata-rata hasil ulangan akhir pra siklus adalah 67 yaitu dengan persentase ketuntasan 62% sementara rata-rata nilai hasil akhir siklus I adalah 73 atau dengan persentase ketuntasan yaitu 76% atau mengalami peningkatan 14% dan pada siklus II mencapai 91 % yaitu dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas yaitu 32 siswa dari 35 siswa atau mengalami peningkatan 15%, yang berarti menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe team game tournament dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sel di SMA Negeri Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, populasi penelitian semua SMA Negeri Palembang, sampel penelitian yaitu SMA Negeri 4 Palembang, SMA Negeri 8 Palembang, SMA Negeri 9 Palembang dan SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. Teknik pengambilan data diambil secara purposive sampling, memilih berdasarkan letak wilayah dan kecamatan. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar wawancara, kuesioner, observasi, dokumentasi dan tes pilihan ganda (Multiple Choice Test) berjumlah 20 soal berpikir kritis pada materi sel. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi lembar kuesioner, lembar wawancara, lembar observasi dan soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal berpikir kritis. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembeda. Dari hasil rata-rata observasi siswa keseluruhan berpikir kritis yaitu SMA Negeri 4 Palembang sebesar 33,45%, SMA Negeri 8 Palembang sebesar 31,91%, SMA Negeri 9 Palembang sebesar 30,38% dan SMA Negeri 19 Palembang sebesar 32,67%. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata hasil nilai tes keterampilan berpikir kritis yaitu SMA Negeri 4 Palembang sebesar 25,95%, SMA Negeri 8 Palembang sebesar 42,55%, SMA Negeri 9 Palembang sebesar 34,20% dan SMA Negeri 19 Palembang sebesar 27,55%. Dari keempat SMA Negeri Palembang diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 32,56% dikategorikan masih tergolong rendah hal ini disebabkan bahwa tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masih kurang dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru.

Abstract

Implementation of the 2013 curriculum is able to create students who have the ability to think at a higher level as the demands of the age to come. Students are expected to be able to think critically, creatively, and innovatively. One effort to improve students higher order thinking skills is to get students used to working on high level thinking skills. This research was conducted in October 2019 at SMAN 1 Kec. Kapur IX. The subjects in this study are the assessment instruments commonly used by teachers in school and the higher order thinking assessment instruments developed by the authors. The assessment instruments were tested on 24 students of Class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Kec. Kapur IX. This type of research is a descriptive study that aims to analyze students higher-order thinking skills on the material excretion system using assessment instruments. The results of the analysis revealed that students high-level thinking skills were relatively low, This was evidenced by the results of the test of the questions obtained in the form of an average grade of 48. 17. The low cognitive level on the assessment instruments made by the teacher is one of the reasons for the low level of thinking ability of students. This causes students not accustomed to working on high-level thinking skills.

Abstract

Biology learning is one of the subjects that involves practicum in the laboratory. This activity aims to develop the scientific process skills possessed by students in conducting practicum, so that the method used to guide and direct students with the use of students worksheet biological experiment. The results of observations made, it is known that the science process skills possessed by students are still relatively low and the availability of experimental students worksheet has not been implemented. That is why the students worksheet of biological experimentation oriented scientific process skills for students class XI semester 1. The type of this research is development research using 4D models, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This study discusses about the development stage, namely the practicality of experimental students worksheet. The instrument used a practicality test questionnaire given to teachers and students. The questionnaire was given to two teachers and 32 students in terms of four aspects, namely the ease of use of the experimental students worksheet, the allocation of implementation time, the ease of interpretation and equilibrium. The data obtained from the results of the practicality questionnaire analysis by two teachers on the experimental students worksheet oriented scientific proess skills had an average value of 4.00 categorized as very practical. The results of the practicality questionnaire analysis by 32 students of the experimental students worksheet oriented scientific process skills obtained an average value of 3.67 categorized as very practical. So, it can be concluded that the experimental students worksheet oriented scientific proess skills is very practical to use.

Abstract

This research is based on the problems that exist in Padang Public Middle School 13,namely teacher-centered learning, learning activities was lowered and student learning abilities are still low. The effort that can be done is to apply the Quick On The Draw learning model at Padang Middle School 13. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the Quick On The Draw learning model on the students activities and learning competencies of Grade VIII students of SMP 13 Padang. This study was an experimental study with a randomized control group design posttest only design. The study population was grade VIII students of SMP 13 Padang in the 2019/2020 academic year which spread to eight classes. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling. The results were selected class VIII.6 as the experimental class and class VIII.9 as the control class. In student learning activities the average percentage of the experimental class was 74.95% and the control class was 48.51 The hypothesis in this study was tested using the t-test. The results of the study using the t-test can be concluded that the competency of students knowledge about the value of tcount 5,04 > t table 1.68, the competency of tcount 4,18 > t table 1.68, and competency skills t count 2,17 > t table 1, 68. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the application of the Quick On The Draw learning model can improve the students activities and competency of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of grade VIII students of SMP 13 Padang.

Abstract

This study titled analysis misconceptions students use science subjects in SMPN 4 penukal utara kabupaten penukal abab lematang ilir pendopo. Misconceptions in students often happens, the misconception occurs because the need for students to understand a concept, as happened to the students at SMPN 4 penukal. This study aims to analyze student misconceptions in science subjects in SMPN 4 penukal utara kabupaten penukal abab lematangilir. According Omrood (2008) misconception is the belief that is not in accordance with generally accepted explanation and proved valid about a phenomenon or event. The research methodology used in this research is quantitative descriptive. Sampling using cluster random sampling, to be sampled VII.1 class research amounted to 38 students .Instruments used in the study using a multiple-choice test reasoned open. The analysis showed that there was a misconception in science subjects, namely on the material characteristics of living things and the organization of life. Percentage of misconceptions students on the material characteristics of living things at 41.5% for the material organization of life 48%. t can be concluded that student misconceptions in the material organization of life is higher than the misconceptions on the material characteristics of living things. Student misconceptions caused by student learning, the methods used, and the lack of students in finding information.
