Abstract

Penelitian mix-methood ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas VII yang memperoleh Case Based Learning dan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Kota Ternate dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi bangun datar. Pengumpulan data kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen  tes yang digunakan adalah 3 butir soal tentang kemampuan koneksi matematis pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar yang telah divalidasi. Data kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan B,  SMP  Negeri 2 Kota Ternate sebanyak 48 siswa, kemudian dipilih 6 siswa sebagai perwakilan subjek berdasarkan gaya belajar untuk diwawancarai sebagai bentuk triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Sesudah pembelajaran terdapat 6 siswa (25%) memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori sangat tinggi, 12 siswa (50%) kategori tinggi, 6 siswa (25%) kategori sedang. Sementara dengan pembelajaran konvensional diperoleh sebanyak 2 siswa (8,33%) kategori sangat tinggi, sebanyak 18 siswa (75%) kategori tinggi, dan 4 siswa (16,67%) kategori sedang; (2) Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang memperoleh Case Based Learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional baik ditinjau dari gaya belajar maupun secara keseluruhan; (3) Pencapaian kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang memperoleh Case Based Learning dengan gaya belajar kinestetik dan keseluruhan lebih tinggi daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, serta dengan gaya belajar visual dan auditori adalah sama; (4) Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa antara yang memperoleh Case Based Learning tidak berpengaruh  terhadap peningkatan. Penerapan Case Based Learning tidak memberikan pencapaian kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang lebih baik, dibanding pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Online learning has its own challenges, especially for elementary school-age children. In online mathematics learning activities the teacher must present materials in the right pattern so that learning from home can run effectively and optimally. One of the creativity that can be done by the teacher is to modify the Student Worksheet (LKPD) which was previously manual to be online called a liveworksheet. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of live worksheets to improve students' mathematical competence during the pandemic at Al Jannah Elementary School. This type of research is quasi-experimental. Number of experimental classes (only one) and using comparison techniques before and after being given treatment. The population in this study were all students of SD Islam, Nature and Science Al Jannah and the sample involved was 22 students. The data collection instrument used was multiple choice questions in the form of an electronic test. To analyze the data using the normality test (Kolmogorov Smirnov), homogeneity test and paired sample t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the sig 2. Tailed value is 0.022. The conclusion that can be drawn based on the results of this test is that there is a significant difference between before and after using the live worksheet.

Abstract

One of the most important assets in an organization or company is human resources who will later become workers in an agency. This is due to its role as the subject of implementing policies and operational activities of an organization and company. The better the performance of the workforce, the better it can provide optimal results for an organization or company. In order to obtain optimal performance, good management is needed so that the workforce in an organization feels comfortable in carrying out their responsibilities and obtains maximum results. Considering the importance of employee performance in order to achieve workplace agency goals optimally, this encourages researchers to study in more depth academically the influence of employee competency and discipline variables on employee performance through job satisfaction at BPBD Tidore Islands City. Hypothesis 1 states that competence has a positive and significant effect on performance. Hypothesis 1 is accepted. Hypothesis 2 states that discipline has a positive and significant effect on performance so that hypothesis 2 is accepted. Hypothesis 3 competence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction so that hypothesis 3 is accepted. Hypothesis 4 work discipline has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction so that hypothesis 4 is accepted. Hypothesis 5 job satisfaction does not affect employee performance so hypothesis 5 is rejected. Hypothesis 6 competency has no significant effect on performance if it is mediated by job satisfaction so hypothesis 6 is rejected. Hypothesis 7 work discipline has no significant effect on performance if it is mediated by job satisfaction so hypothesis 7 is rejected.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the methods of writing short stories in various dictions, the factors that cause a lack of ability to write short story texts, the innovative media used, and the benefits obtained by students in improving their short story writing. The research method was applied using data collection techniques through observation and literature study. From the research results, it was concluded that factors such as monotonous learning, difficulties in developing ideas, and a lack of understanding of the structure of short story texts can be the cause of the lack of ability to write short story texts, especially in class XI students at SMA N 9 Semarang. Innovative and effective media that can be applied using mind mapping. The application of this media is effective in supporting writing short story texts. The use of media has become closely associated with students through the Canva application, which uses a network of thoughts. It is hoped that it can overcome boredom when taking notes, making it easier for the brain to process, memorize and develop the information that has been recorded. By using the thought networking process, students can develop and expand ideas and thoughts before starting to write a short story, so that they can design an interesting story framework. However, the results of observations show that students have not been able to write a comprehensive, more structured and directed structure.

Abstract

The effectiveness of the Physics learning process, especially in higher education, will be good if the implementation is able to emphasize the process, because the quality of the process will determine learning outcomes. Practicum is very important in order to support learning and emphasize the process aspect. This is based on the aim of learning as a process, namely improving thinking skills, the teaching and learning process using a virtual laboratory can stimulate students to be more active in participating in teaching and learning activities. The class atmosphere became more lively and students were more enthusiastic in participating in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to see student perceptions of the use of virtual laboratories for modern physics topics.

Abstract

The implementation of online learning was implemented suddenly due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit in 2019, online learning policies are a temporary solution to stop the spread of Covid-19. However, this policy has had a big impact on the world of education, various problems arise from the factor of implementing the policy. This study aims to examine the obstacles to the implementation of online learning experienced by FKIP students, Unkhair. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection through surveys. The instrument used is an electronic questionnaire via google form. The questionnaire used is a closed questionnaire and an open questionnaire. The correspondents of this study were FKIP Unkhair students as many as 150 correspondents who were representatives of 7 study programs. Based on the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that there are 4 points of obstacles faced by FKIP students during online learning, namely limited internet quota, inadequate internet network, low understanding of IT and limited infrastructure. However, these obstacles can be anticipated through serious online learning designs by considering the convenience of learning, the readiness factors of lecturers and students and the availability of supporting facilities. In conclusion, there are 4 obstacles to implementing online learning policies. To overcome them, the involvement of all parties is required to design high-quality online learning.

Abstract

Analyzing students' individual cognitive ability levels has significant urgency in the context of modern education. Therefore, this study aims to analyse students' cognitive abilities using Rasch modelling. This research is a one-shot case study model on 23 students of class XI MIPA who took Thermodynamics material. Students' cognitive abilities were measured using 10 multiple choice questions after going through the problem-based learning (PBL) process. Students' cognitive ability data were analysed using Rasch modelling approach with a combination of Logit Value of Person (LVP) and Wright map techniques. Cognitive ability was assessed based on gender demographics. The results showed that female students tend to have higher cognitive abilities than male students in the context of thermodynamic problem solving. The implication of this research show that the application of the problem-based Learning (PBL) model can increase the effectiveness of physics learning and facilitate the development of students' critical thinking and analytical skills more optimally.

Abstract

Character education is very fundamental in education, because morals and character are the main targets in education. Thus, the formation of student character must exist at the joint of general education and Islamic education, or integrate the two through an Al-Qur'an approach based on the Pancasila Education Profile. Science learning which contains natural events should not be separated from the Al-Qur'an, because in the Al-Qur'an all natural phenomena are explained, so that they are interrelated and mutually support each other in developing students' knowledge which leads to strengthening character. The existence of an Islamic-based elementary school should have added value in the character aspect by emphasizing the Al-Qur'an approach. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the formation of student character in science lessons through the Al-Qur'an approach at SD Islmaiyah 2, Ternate City and SD Islamiyah 5, Ternate City. This research method is descriptive qualitative using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model. The results of this research show that there is no integration of science lessons with the Al-Qur'an to encourage the development of student character education at Islamiya 2.5 Elementary School, Ternate City. This can be seen from the learning tools and learning process. Although the learning process has been touched upon a little, it is not yet structured due to the teacher's limited ability to integrate it. In the future, training is needed to develop learning tools using the Al-Qur'an approach to prepare the generation for a golden Indonesia in 2045.

Abstract

Upaya pengembangan e-modul biologi berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal masih belum banyak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah yang berada di Kota Ternate, salah satunya adalah mata pelajaran biologi. Dengan perkembangan dan kemajuan pendidikan dan tuntutan kurikulum saat ini maka guru dituntut mampu berinovasi dengan mendesain bahan ajar misalnya membuat bahan ajar menggunakan aplikasi canva design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul mata pelajaran biologi yang mengintegrasikan potensi dan kearifan lokal Ternate dalam setiap sub topik yang diajarkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (RD) dengan meggunakan model ADDIE. Pengembangan e-modul pembelajaran biologi kelas X SMA berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal sebagai penunjang pembelajaran abad 21 ini menggunakan model pengembangan addie, data penelitian diperoleh secara langsung dari lokasi penelitian yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan referensi yang sesuai untuk menghasilkan e-modul pembelajaran biologi yang dikembangkan. Hasil penilaian kelayakan e-modul pembelajaran biologi berdasarkan uji validasi ahli  secara keseluruhan dari kesepuluh aspek penilaian e-modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal  sebagai penunjang pembelajaran abad 21 di SMA yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori sangat valid dengan rata-rata persentase secara keseluruhan yaitu 81%. Hasi uji respon pengguna  dari kalangan guru yang mengajar mata pelajaran biologi mendapatkan persentase 82% ini memberikan informasi bahwa e-modul pembelajaran biologi yang dikembangakan sudah layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan fondasi penting bagi kemajuan bangsa, dimana individu dapat mengembangkan potensinya dan berkontribusi dalam pembangunan. Era globalisasi membawa perubahan pada sistem Pendidikan termasuk model pembelajaran. salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan adalah model example non example.  Dalam penelitian ini dideskripsikan tentang implementasi model pembelajaran example non example. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penggunaan model pembelajaran example non example dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa di kelas X9 SMA Negeri 14 Semarang pada materi perilaku taat hukum. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan informasi dengan menggunakan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran example non example dapat membantu siswa memahami materi perilaku taat hukum. Hasil kemampuan memahami dibuktikan oleh nilai siswa, yang rata-rata 89 dari banyak siswa di kelas X9, termasuk 33 siswa, dan 88,5% siswa telah memahami materi dengan baik. Selain meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik pada materi perilaku taat hukum, implementasi model pembelajaran example non example mendorong peserta didik untuk bernalar kritis, efektif, dan bekerja sama juga meningkatkan hasrat untuk belajar. Akan tetapi, model pembelajaran example non example mempunyai beberapa kelemahan seperti, Tidak semua konten dapat disajikan menggunakan media visual dan membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama.
