Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve vocabulary mastery using flannel word board media in class I Indonesian language learning at SD Negeri 3 Sekarteja. Based on the researcher's initial observations of class I students at SD Negeri 3 Sekarteja, Selong District, East Lombok Regency, it shows that students' mastery of recognizing the concept of letters and words as a stage of the initial reading process is not in accordance with the stages of development they should be. The low level of students' initial reading mastery was discovered when the teacher carried out an assessment in the process of learning to read words; only 9 out of 29 students were able to read with good criteria. For word mastery, there are criteria that are starting to develop; there are 9 students who can name 4-5 words, while for the criteria that have not yet developed, there are 20 students who have criteria for saying 1-3 words. Looking at the existing problems, initial reading mastery needs to be developed, namely by choosing the right learning media. One medium that can be used to improve vocabulary mastery is using flannel word board media. The subjects of this research were 29 students in class I of SD Negeri 3 Sekarteja, consisting of 16 male students and 13 female students. The method in this research is Kemmis McTaggart. The actions carried out consist of two (2) cycles. In the first cycle, the post-test results from 29 students increased to 12 students who completed it with a percentage of 41.38. In cycle II the number of results increased to 23 students with a percentage of 79.31%. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the use of word flannel board media in Indonesian language learning in class I can improve vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This research was conducted to be able to develop a learning media that aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of AR-based interactive learning media assisted by Assemblr Edu. The model used in this development research is ADDIE which includes 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data analysis techniques used are media and material expert validation analysis, practicality analysis from the results of student and teacher responses, and effectiveness analysis from the results of pre-test and post-test questions. Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that the development of AR-based interactive learning media assisted by Assemblr Edu meets the valid criteria with the average value obtained from the media and material validation results of 93.33%, the results of student and teacher practicality obtained an average value of 77.42%, and the pre-test results obtained a percentage of 14.28% with an average value of 57, while the post-test results obtained a percentage of 100% with an average value of 85. It can be concluded that the AR-based interactive learning media assisted by Assemblr Edu on metamorphosis material in class V of Santa Theresia Catholic Elementary School Ternate City that has been developed is very feasible to use in assisting the learning process.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming various sectors, and education is no exception, with the potential to revolutionize teaching, learning, and administration. The development of AI in recent years has opened up many opportunities for education. AI offers the potential to transform teaching approaches by developing more engaging and responsive learning environments, potentially enhancing traditional educational strategies. AI is revolutionizing education by enhancing learning experiences, changing teaching methodologies, and optimizing administrative. AI-based personalized learning systems analyze student data to create a customized learning experience for each student, allowing them to learn more efficiently using less time and resources than traditional teaching methods. The integration of AI in education presents significant challenges and considerations that must be addressed to ensure ethical, equitable, and effective implementation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and learning motivation with the biology learning outcomes of science class students at Komodo State High School. This type of ex-post facto research is quantitative descriptive. The independent variables in this research are self-efficacy (X1), learning motivation (X2) while the dependent variable is learning outcomes (Y). The sample for this research was 206 students in class X and XI Science at SMA Negeri 1 Komodo using a supportive random sampling technique. This research was conducted in August - September 2024. Research data was obtained using self-efficacy and learning motivation questionnaires. The data analysis technique is analysis (descriptive statistics) with the help of the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 25 for Windows program. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, a significance value of 0.000 0.05 was obtained. It can be concluded that self-efficacy and learning motivation have a positive and significant relationship to the biology learning outcomes of students in classes X and XI Science at SMA Negeri 1 Komodo.

Abstract

The primary objectives of this study were (1) to identify the types of errors made by third-semester students in the use of noun phrases and (2) to determine the most frequently occurring error type. To achieve these objectives, a descriptive qualitative research design was employed. Data were collected using two types of assessments: multiple-choice questions and essay writing tasks. These instruments were designed to elicit various forms of noun phrase usage to allow for a comprehensive analysis of student performance. Based on the data analysis, four main types of grammatical errors were identified (1) omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. Among these, misformation errors were found to be the most prevalent. This suggests that while students may understand the general structure of noun phrases, they struggle with selecting the correct grammatical forms, such as appropriate determiners, pluralization, or adjective-noun order. The high frequency of misformation errors may stem from several interrelated factors, including interference from the students' first language, insufficient grammatical instruction, and limited exposure to authentic English usage

Abstract

This study examines language politeness according to Geoffrey Leech's theory in the movie Gara-Gara Pahlawan by Muhadkuri Acho and its implications for Indonesian language learning. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with pragmatic analysis. The data were obtained by using the free listening method and listening to the narration of the characters in the movie. The results of the analysis found 12 data of compliance with the principles of language politeness, consisting of 5 data of the maxim of generosity, 3 data of the maxim of respect, 1 data of the maxim of simplicity, 1 data of the maxim of consensus, and 2 data of the maxim of sympathy. No compliance with the maxim of wisdom was found. This movie is suitable as teaching material for language politeness because it displays many polite speeches and can be a model for choosing the right words according to the context and interlocutors. The application of polite language in learning can improve students' communication skills using polite language in various social situations.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how DRTA is used and to describe the results in reading comprehension skills in class V students of Negeri 2 Ternate City. The research design is qualitative research that uses a descriptive approach. The instruments used are test questions, teacher and student observation sheets, and interview sheets. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. The use of the DRTA learning model based on big book media is carried out as follows: (1) students predict the title as a guide in predicting the content of the reading text. (2) students predict the content of the reading based on the pictures they have seen. (3) researchers distribute big book media and students read the text in the first paragraph. (4) students assess and check the accuracy of predictions (5) the teacher repeats procedures 1 to 4 for each paragraph. (6) students make a summary, students write whatever information they understand in the reading text on the big book media. The results of using the DRTA learning model assisted by big book media are that in the indicator (1) determine the main idea there are 25% of students who answer with the right answer, in the indicator (2) answer questions according to the content of the text' there are 50% of students who answer with the right answer, in the indicator (3) rewriting the contents of the reading text there were 13% of students who answered with the right answer, and the indicator (4) making a summary there were 12% of students who could answer the question with the right answer. The conclusion is that based on the reading comprehension test results, class VB students at State Elementary School 2 Ternate City obtained an average score of 70.47 in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah adalah suatu cara untuk mengatasi masalah guna mencapai tujuan yang hendak dicapai. Menurut Polya terdapat empat tahapan pemecahan masalah diantaranya yaitu, memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII MTs. Ma'arif NU Assa'adah I Bungah pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan garis lurus ditinjau dari minat belajar. Metode  penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, tes, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket minat belajar, lembar validasi soal tes, soal tes, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi mampu menyelesaikan pemecahan masalah pada setiap tahapan pemecahan masalah menurut Polya dengan baik dan benar. Siswa dengan kategori minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan pemecahan masalah namun pada tahapan melaksanakan strategi mereka masih kurang sistematis dan maksimal. Siswa dengan minat belajar rendah tidak mampu menyelesaikan soal pada tahapan merencanakan strategi dan melaksanakan strategi. Mereka hanya mampu menyelesaikan soal pada tahapan memahami masalah dan pengecekan kembali. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, diharapkan guru dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang kemampuan pemecahan masalah, sehingga siswa dapat memecahkan masalah dengan baik dan benar.

Abstract

One of the impacts of the Teacher Center Learning (CTL) learning model in the classroom is that students' thinking creativity is less developed and students ability to solve problems is low. This study aims to analyze the problem-solving ability of Animal Ecology Biology Education students based on field-dependent and field-independent cognitive styles. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were Biology Education students in the sixth semester (VI) who programmed animal ecology courses totaling 24 people. The research instrument was the Group Embedded Figure Test (GEFT) which amounted to 25 points. Problem-solving questions in the form of descriptions of 4 numbers and interview guidelines. Based on the results showed that the problem-solving ability of students with field-independent cognitive style is better than field dependent because students with field-independent cognitive style are able to separate themselves from their environment while students with field-dependent cognitive style are still influenced by the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran model Based on Writing Experimental Report yang valid dan reliabel yang dapat membelajarkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi Rangkaian arus searah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan desain menggunakan Education Research and Development (R D) Borg Gall. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini di batasi pada tahap studi pendahuluan dan tahap pengembangan. Analisis hasil validasi menggunakan statistik percentage of agreement (R) diatas 75%. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa rata-rata reliabelitas RPP dengan persentase sebesar 90,56%, LKPD sebesar 84,77%, lembar penilaian (LP) soal KBK sebesar 87,14% dan format penulisan laporan eksperimen (FPLE) 79,64%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan kategori baik, oleh karena itu perangkat pembelajaran model BW-ExPort untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa hasil pengembangan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
