Abstract

The formulation of the problems in this study are (1) How is the form of inward code mix and outward code mix in Gelar Wicara Mata Najwa Episode "Belajar dari Buya Hamka" (2) How is the implication of code mix in language learning. The research objectives to be achieved are to know the form of inward code mix and the form of outward code mix in Gelar Wicara Mata Najwa Episode "Belajar dari Buya Hamka" and to know the implications of code mix on language learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research is the dialog of moderators and speakers. The data source used in this research is Mata Najwa Talk Show Episode "Learning from Buya Hamka". Based on data analysis and conclusions, it is known that (1) The form of inward code mix in Gelar Wicara Mata Najwa Episode "Belajar dari Buya Hamka" is the use of two languages in one dialog, namely Indonesian and local languages. (2) The form of outward code mix in Gelar Wicara Mata Najwa Episode "Belajar dari Buya Hamka" is the use of two languages in one dialog, namely Indonesian and foreign languages. (3) Code mixing is implied in Indonesian language learning in the form of learning media produced, namely posters and slogans related to the results of code mixing in Gelar Wicara Mata Najwa Episode "Belajar dari Buya Hamka".

Abstract

This article presents the results of a research that describes the use of video media in learning the values of hikayat texts to class X students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of video media, find out the learning steps, and assess the learning outcomes of students in learning the values of hikayat texts. This research uses a mixed approach that involves quantitative and qualitative data collection. Data collection was conducted using test and non-test techniques (observation and documentation). Data analysis techniques used triangulation techniques by testing the validity of the data collected by researchers to obtain data and enrich the insights of research informants. Overall, students succeeded in achieving the Criteria for Achieving Learning Objectives (KKTP) with a range of scores between 78-100% and the average percentage value was 86%. The results showed that the use of video media in learning to analyze the values of hikayat texts at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang had a positive impact and was successfully applied to the learning of saga texts to class X students at SMK N 7 Semarang.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of beach reclamation on changes in the socio-economic conditions of the community in Ternate City. The type of research is quantitative descriptive. The method used was survey and purposive sampling which was carried out in two locations, namely Kampung Makasar Timur Village and Salero Village. The sample of respondents consisted of 42 people from village heads, traders, hunters, youth and fishermen as well as visitors to tourist areas. Data collection through interviews using questionnaires. The results of the research show that the highest percentage is in the affirmative answer with each indicator percentage, namely (1) Indicator of community perception and attitude towards coastal reclamation development 24%, (2) Indicator of community attitude towards the coastal reclamation environment 71%, (3) Indicator of change patterns of social relations between communities 26%, (4) Indicators of changes in community livelihoods 50% and (5) Indicators of social conditions in the community of respondents who agreed were 62%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' speaking obstacles and how they overcome them in the fourth semester of the English language study program. One lecturer and twenty students were taken as research subjects in the fourth semester. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method for collecting and analyzing data. This research is conducted by providing observations and interviews as an instrument. The results of the study show that several obstacles faced by students are divided into two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. In terms of internal factors, there are seven obstacles faced by students in learning to speak such as lack of vocabulary, poor grammar, speaking anxiety, fear of making mistakes, low participation, low self-confidence, and mother tongue use. External factors are divided into two categories: environment and lecturer's personality. Students enhance their speaking skills through various methods, including joining an English club or course, forming groups for practice or discussion, learning on social media, listening to English songs and podcasts, and watching movies.

Abstract

Ekosistem hutan mangrove merupakan perpaduan antara dua habitat yaitu terrestrial dan akuatik. Perpaduan ini menjadikan ekosistem hutan mangrove memiliki karakteristik khas, baik ditinjau dari segi fisiografi maupun keragaman biota yang terintegrasi dalam sistem ekologi mangrove. Menyangkut kerusakan hutan mangrove di Kao Teluk sekitar daerah Akesahu yang saat ini mengalami kerusakan yang cukup parah akibat dari aktifitas masyarakat yang selalu memnafaatkan potensi dari hutan mangrove setempat untuk dijadikan bahan kayu bakar maupun dijual serta digunakan sebagai bahan bangunan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengungkap status dari jenis-jenis mangrove yang ada di Kao Teluk  sekitar daerah Akesahu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode line transek ditarik tegak lurus dari garis pantai memotong vegetasi menuju ke arah darat dengan lebar belt transek 20 m. Parameter vegetasi yang diukur meliputi: densitas, frekuensi dan dominasi serta penentuan Indeks nilai penting (INP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mangrove jenis R. apiculata, R. mucronata, X. moluccensis, X granatum dan B. gymnorrhiza, yang dahulu banyak ditemui, namun sekarang populasinya menjadi semakin berkurang. Hal ini berarti jenis mangrove tersebut telah mengalami kerusakan yang cukup besar, sehingga dikhawatirkan jenis-jenis tersebut akan terancam beberapa tahun mendatang, maka pelu disegerakan upaya rehabilitasi maupun reboisasi secara cepat dan tepat guna penyelamatan plasma nutfah dimasa mendatang di daerah Akesahu tersebut.

Abstract

Technological developments in the 21st century era, especially in the field of education, are increasingly important and change the way teachers view learning. One thing that supports the learning process is the use of digital-based learning media, including Google Site. Research on the development of physics teaching materials based on the POE2WE model with the help of the Google site with the aim of: 1) Developing physics teaching materials based on the POE2WE learning model with the help of the Google site; and 2) analyze teacher and student responses to physics teaching materials based on the POE2WE learning model assisted by Google Site. The research was carried out at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 (MAN 1) Tidore Islands. The research data was obtained from validation results from several validators, namely material, language and media validators used to state the suitability of teaching materials, while teacher and student responses were obtained through the results of filling out questionnaires. The data obtained from the research results showed that on average the teaching materials developed were declared very suitable for use by class XII students at MAN 1 Tidore Islands, especially regarding electromagnetic induction material. The feasibility of the teaching materials developed is 88.25%. Analysis of teacher response data obtained a result of 95.33% and for student responses a result of 96% was obtained. It can be concluded that the physics teaching materials based on the POE2WE model assisted by the Google site received a response in the category of strongly agreeing to be used.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is given to students to practice science process skills. Through science learning, students can produce a conceptual understanding of material through scientific work. This research aims to determine students' science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes through the Discovery Learning learning model in elementary schools. This research method is experimental research with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The results showed that the cognitive learning outcomes and skills of experimental class students were higher than those of control class students. Based on the results of the first hypothesis test, it was found that Fcount= 131.266 while Ftable= 3.44. This means FcountFtable and sig. = 0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes between students who take part in learning using the discovery learning model and students who take part in conventional learning. The results of the second hypothesis test showed that the value of Fcount = 128.380 while Ftable = 3.44. This means FcountFtable and sig. = 0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in science process skills between students who take part in learning using the discovery learning model and students who take part in conventional learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of a teaching module by utilizing a problem-based learning model, namely problem-based learning by focusing on feasible opportunity material by considering 3 aspects, namely valid, practical, and effective. This development research model uses the 4D model, which includes 4 stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Assa'adah Bungah. The results of the research that has been carried out, prove that the teaching module produced is declared valid by getting a score of 3.3, which puts it in the valid category. The teacher response questionnaire scored 3.1, which placed it in the practical category, and the learner response questionnaire scored 3.7, which placed it in the very practical category. In addition, three observers found that the analysis of the learning implementation sheet was effective with an average score of 94% for the fully implemented category and through the summative test results obtained an average score of 90 for the very effective category. Since all three aspects of the teaching module assessment have been met, the teaching module is suitable for use.

Abstract

The majority of the Shaman community is still unfamiliar with appropriate parenting patterns to optimize the development and growth of early childhood. So it is necessary to carry out socialization activities regarding parenting skills. The aim of this activity is so that parents in Dukun District, Magelang Regency, Central Java can understand and apply appropriate parenting patterns in order to optimize children's growth and development through stimulation and nutritious food. The target of the activities are PAUD teachers and parents of PAUD students in Aisyiyah District, Dukun District. Magelang-Central Java. The activity implementation procedure starts from activity planning, observation and preparation of the tools and materials needed, presentation of material by resource persons to participants, discussion between presenters and participants and then ends with activity evaluation. The number of participants who attended was 130 people. As a result of this outreach activity, participants were very enthusiastic about listening so that the level of public awareness and understanding increased about the importance of parenting skills in optimizing children's growth and development. Apart from that, the community is also aware that parenting skills for children is a problem that should receive attention from various parties because inappropriate parenting patterns can hinder children's optimal growth and development and of course can have long-term effects on the child's personality

Abstract

The deixis and its contextual meaning in the Maher Zains song are discussed in this study. Content analysis was the form of research used in the descriptive qualitative approach of research methodology. This research uses a practical methodology, based on the conceptualization of deixis by Alan Cruse, which includes person, spatial, temporal, social, and discourse deixis. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the various deixis types and its reference meanings through analysis and interpretation of Maher Zain's "Forgive Me" album lyrics. The results show that Maher Zain's "Forgive Me" album does, in fact, use a variety of deixis in its lyrics, including person, spatial, temporal, social, and discourse deixis. First and second pronouns are included in the personal deixis, which represents the characters and roles in the song lyrics. Whereas temporal deixis denotes the relative time of speech events, and spatial deixis specifies the location of events. Most of the album's tracks use social deixis, which represents social standing and a person's proximity to their mother, God, and the social surroundings. Finally, there are instances of discourse deixis in one song, including the phrases "And, But, So." It describes the connection between a speech and the speech that came before it.
