Abstract

Market demand plays a crucial role in mediating the relationship between product quality, innovation, and entrepreneurial performance. Understanding how market demand influences this dynamic is essential for business owners to strategically enhance their competitiveness and long-term success. This research aims to examine the impact of product quality and product innovation on the performance of clothing convection business owners through market demand in home industries in Jurangmangu. Given the large sample size, path analysis is employed to assess both direct and indirect effects. The research population consisted of 215 home industry clothing business owners in Jurangmangu, with a sample size of 168 participants. The findings indicate that: (1) Product quality and product innovation directly affect market demand; (2) Product quality and product innovation have a direct effect on the entrepreneurial performance of business owners; (3) Market demand significantly influences entrepreneurial performance; (4) Product quality and product innovation do not indirectly affect entrepreneurial performance through market demand. High-quality products increase consumer satisfaction, foster brand loyalty, and contribute to long-term business growth. Innovative products, including creative designs and advanced production technologies, capture emerging trends and highlight local culture, offering a competitive advantage even in the face of challenges such as environmental pests.

Abstract

Indonesia’s batik industry has seen fluctuating export trends, peaking at USD 744.79 million in 2022 before declining by 13.51% in 2023. To support batik artisans, Deposit Insurance Corporation is called Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan (LPS) in Indonesia and Batik Fractal launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative—an end-to-end business training program in Sukabumi and Cianjur, West Java. This study evaluates its impact using the Social Return on Investment (SROI) framework, which measures social, economic, and environmental benefits. The program improved artisans’ digital literacy with jBatik applications, enhanced design creativity, strengthened financial management, and optimized pricing strategies and social media use. The SROI ratio of 17.039 indicates that every Rp 1 invested generates Rp 17,039 in social impact, demonstrating the program’s efficiency. These findings emphasize the need for structured training, certification, and mentorship to preserve traditional batik techniques while fostering innovation. Market expansion through digital platforms, branding, and export assistance, along with financial support, can enhance industry sustainability. Furthermore, adopting technology, such as blockchain for authenticity verification and eco-friendly innovations, can modernize the sector. This study highlights the effectiveness of targeted interventions in strengthening economic resilience and safeguarding Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

Abstract

Employee conduct significantly impacts an organization's performance and productivity, as employees are valuable resources essential to the sustainability of company operations. This study aims to examine the effect of self-control on employee performance, with cyberloafing behavior acting as a mediator. Cyberloafing refers to the personal use of technology for non-work-related activities during office hours. The study involved 118 respondents working at firm X in Trosobo Sidoarjo, using a purposeful sampling technique and distributing questionnaires. The findings show that employee performance and self-control are interrelated; however, cyberloafing behavior does not directly affect employee performance. While self-control plays a crucial role in enhancing performance, cyberloafing behavior is not a significant mediator in this relationship. Based on these results, the study suggests that companies should enhance their supervisory functions and provide self-development training programs focused on emotional management and self-control. These programs would help employees manage their behavior effectively in the workplace, minimize the occurrence of cyberloafing, and improve overall work productivity. This approach can support a healthier, more productive work environment, benefiting both individual employees and the organization as a whole.

Abstract

In the healthcare sector, leadership plays a vital role in shaping employee attitudes and behaviors. Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) is essential for maintaining effective healthcare services, and understanding its driving factors is crucial for hospital management. The aim of this study is to investigate how organizational justice mediates the impact of transformational leadership on the citizenship behavior of nurses. There are 210 questionnaire papers were distributed to nurses who had worked at the Hospital X in Tuban, Indonesia, for more than a year in order to collect the data. A total of 205 completed questionnaires were returned by nurses who had worked for more than a year. According to this study, transformational leadershiprganizational justice as well as OCB. Furthermore, organizational justice is a crucial predictor in enhancing citizenship behavior of nurses. The relationship between transformative leadership and OCB can be mediated by organizational justice, as anticipated. This study suggests the leaders constantly motivate nurses to attach importance to the team and organization and encourage organizational justice because they who show OCB many times tend to be inspired by motivating leadership and feel that leaders have made a fair decision and treated them fairly.

Abstract

In the digital era, Gen Z's financial behavior is shaped by technology and emotions. Financial literacy plays a key role in filtering emotional influences and guiding Gen Z toward smarter financial decisions. This study explores how Gen Z in Pasuruan City uses financial technology (abbreviated as fintech), and how their fear of missing out (FoMO) and attitudes toward money influence their financial habits—particularly through the lens of financial literacy. Using purposive sampling, the research finds that fintech offers real benefits for Gen Z, especially in terms of convenience, security, and privacy. These features make it easier for them to manage money, though a solid understanding of financial literacy remains essential for shaping responsible financial behavior. Interestingly, FoMO—though emotionally strong—does not significantly affect how they manage finances when filtered through financial literacy. Emotional and social factors, like self-control and support from others, seem to matter more. On the other hand, a strong desire for money, even when paired with good financial knowledge, tends to reduce healthy financial behavior. This suggests that emotional ties to money can overpower financial understanding. In short, while fintech helps Gen Z take control of their finances, emotional factors like FoMO and love of money need to be addressed more deeply to truly support smart financial decision-making.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital payment technologies has transformed how people conduct financial transactions in Indonesia. As one of the leading innovations, QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) plays a key role in promoting a cashless society across various regions. This study aims to analyze users’ continuance intention toward the use of QRIS in Southeast Sulawesi through the lens of the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) framework. Given the growing adoption of digital payment systems, the research seeks to systematically identify and evaluate the key determinants influencing users’ sustained usage behavior. Quantitative methods were applied by collecting data from 250 respondents who are QRIS users. The results of the analysis show that expectation confirmation and perceived usefulness have a significant influence on user satisfaction. However, despite high satisfaction, no significant relationship was found between satisfaction and intention to continue using. In addition, habit was shown to contribute positively to intention to continue. These findings highlight the importance of user experience and trust in digital services. This study recommends further exploration to understand other factors that may influence intention to continue using in the context of digital payment systems.

Abstract

Financial inclusion of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) owners has been identified as a vital component of the global development agenda, notably emphasized during the G20 Seoul Summit in 2020. It plays a critical role in fostering economic growth, alleviating poverty, and strengthening financial stability. However, many MSME owners remain financially excluded due to their inherent characteristics and the perceived unattractiveness of financial services. This issue is particularly prevalent in North Central Nigeria, where empirical studies are still limited. This study aims to examine the impact of key push factors on the financial inclusion of MSME owners in North Central Nigeria. The specific objectives were to investigate the effect of financial literacy, size of business, level of education, risk preference, and social network on the financial inclusion of MSME owners in this region. Using a survey design, data were collected from a stratified random sample of 435 respondents, drawn from a population of 11,607 MSME owners. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan formula (1970). The results revealed that all five push factors have a significant positive impact on financial inclusion. The study recommends that government initiatives should prioritize financial literacy programs to enhance MSME owners' awareness and engagement with financial institutions.

Abstract

The capital market is affected by economic and non-economic variables. Wars and political turmoil profoundly affect stock prices in the stock market due to their strong correlation with a nation's economic stability. Product boycotts can precipitate crises for corporations, resulting in diminished sales and thus affecting the stock price performance of the impacted firms. This study analyzes the variations in anomalous returns preceding and following the declaration of war-related product boycotts for targeted firms and their non-targeted rivals. This is quantitative descriptive research. The population comprises firms registered on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2023 to 2024. The sample included 37 companies, obtained purposive sampling and secondary data from Yahoo Finance.com. Event research analytical techniques were used in the investigation. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test for non-normally distributed data and the paired-sample t-test for regularly distributed data were among the statistical analyses used. The findings indicate a substantial disparity in anomalous returns for enterprises subjected to boycotts before and after the declaration of war-related product boycotts. No substantial difference in anomalous returns was seen for non-boycotted rival companies before and after the announcement of war-related product boycotts.

Abstract

Healthcare quality plays a crucial role, but improving access to healthcare must be prioritized alongside population growth to ensure equitable and sustainable accessibility. This study investigates the impact of hospital service quality on perceived value and patient satisfaction. Additionally, perceived value affects satisfaction, revisit intention, and word of mouth, while patient satisfaction impacts revisit intention and word of mouth. This study employs a quantitative method using an online survey of 174 respondents across five cities in Indonesia. The research data were analyzed using multivariate statistics, specifically variance-based structural equation modeling. The outcomes of the analysis indicate that all the hypotheses proposed are statistically supported. Service quality in hospitals positively and significantly affects perceived value and satisfaction. Furthermore, perceived value affects satisfaction, revisit intention, and word of mouth. Satisfaction also significantly affects revisit intention and word of mouth. This study develops a service quality framework within the literature on hospital service quality and measurement using Higher-Order Constructs. Hospitals can enhance patients' perceived value and foster sustainable satisfaction by focusing on the service quality framework. This strategy is crucial in addressing competition in the healthcare market, particularly in attracting and retaining patients amid the ongoing dynamics of healthcare system reforms.
