Abstract

Abstract: Science literacy skills are basic skills that must be possessed by students as a provision to be able to integrate their basic understanding related to the coherent scientific concepts. This study aims to look at the effectiveness of the Remap STAD learning model to empower science literacy skills. The study was classified as quasy experimental research using Non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population of 234 students includes students of class XI Science with a total of seven classes. The sample used was selected through the equivalence test. The instrument uses an essay test by disregarding indicators of scientific literacy skills. Data were analyzed using One Way Anacova Test. The results obtained that the Remap STAD learning model contributes to empower students' scientific literacy skills.Abstrak: Keterampilan literasi sains merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus dimiliki peserta didik agar mampu mengintegrasikan pemahaman dengan konsep ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran Remap STAD terhadap pemberdayaan keterampilan literasi sains. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian quasy experiment menggunakan Non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi berjumlah 234 siswa mencakup siswa kelas XI IPA dengan total tujuh kelas. Sampel yang digunakan dipilih melalui hasil uji kesetaraan. Instrumen menggunakan tes esai mengacuh pada indikator keterampilan literasi sains. Analisis menggunakan One Way Anacova Test dan hasilnya model pembelajaran Remap STAD berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce interactive multimedia based on local culture that is feasible in terms of validity, practicality, attractiveness, and effectivity. The development model used was the Lee & Owens model, consists of five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The validator stated that interactive multimedia was very valid with a score of 92.9%.  Field test results showed that practicality of the product reached 94.5%, and level of attractiveness reached 95.9%.  The results of the cognitive domain t-test were 8,746>1,671, the affective domain was 6,028>1,671, and the psychomotor domain was 3,705>1,671. Those three analysis points out that t-empirical>t-table. It was concluded that interactive mulitmedia was valid, practical, attractive and effective.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan multimedia interaktif berbasis kebudayaan lokal yang valid, praktis, menarik, dan efektif. Model pengembangan menggunakan model Lee & Owens, terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Validator menyatakan multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan telah sangat valid dengan perolehan skor 92,9%. Hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan tingkat kepraktisan produk mencapai 94,5 %, dan tingkat kemenarikan mencapai 95,9%. Hasil perhitungan uji-t ranah kognitif adalah 8,746 1,671, ranah afektif adalah 6,028 1,671, dan ranah psikomotor adalah 3,705 1,671. Ketiga analisis uji-t menunjukkan t-empirik t-tabel. Disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif telah valid, praktis, menarik, dan efektif.

Abstract

Abstract: Critical thinking skills are one of the skills that must be possessed in the 21st century. Tools to measure students' thinking competencies can use assessment instruments. Based on the needs analysis, information was obtained that the use of assessment instruments for the junior high school level was still limited. The purpose of this study (1) to develop critical thinking assessment instruments in learning to read exposition texts along with usage guidelines and (2) test the level of validity, reliability, and practicality of the product. The model used is the development of O'Malley and Pierce. The results of product validation and testing show that the product developed is feasible and can be implemented. The data was obtained from the assessment and learning validator, and product tests on studentsAbstrak: Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki pada abad 21. Alat untuk mengukur kompetensi berpikir siswa dapat menggunakan instrumen asesmen. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan diperoleh informasi masih terbatasnya penggunaan instrumen asesmen untuk tingkat SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) mengembangkan instrumen asesmen berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran membaca teks eksposisi beserta panduan penggunaan dan (2) menguji tingkat validitas, reliabilitas, dan kepraktisan produk. Model yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan O’Malley dan Pierce. Hasil validasi dan uji produk menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan tergolong layak dan dapat diimplementasikan. Data tersebut diperoleh dari validator asesmen dan pembelajaran, serta uji produk pada siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine profile of fast track program based on the characteristics input and knowing the factors that influence academic achievement student of fast track program bachelor to master degree IPB. The method used in this study were descriptive analysis and classification and regression tree (CART). This research used primary and secondary data. Primary data were the result of interviews fast track program and secondary data were characteristic input fast track program. The results of the research study show student profile of fast track program dominated by female students, single, study program that have accreditation A, pass an English placement test and self-financing. The CART analysis finds two significant factors associated to student achievement. They were GPA score S1 and selection study program. Other factors are, based on interview result, motivation and commitment of the student in completing the study, type of research, as well as role and commitment of the supervisor in completing the study.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis profil mahasiswa Program Sinergi S1-S2 IPB berdasarkan karakteristik input mahasiswa menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Selanjutnya, menganalisis faktor faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan studi mahasiswa menggunakan analisis Classification and Regression Tree (CART) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil mahasiswa Program Sinergi S1-S2 IPB ditinjau dari karakteristik input mahasiswa didominasi oleh mahasiswa perempuan, belum menikah, program studi S2 mempunyai akreditasi A, lulus placement test Bahasa Inggris dan sumber pembiayaan mandiri. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan studi mahasiswa Program Sinergi S1-S2 IPB menggunakan metode CART adalah IPK pendidikan S1 dan pilihan program studi S2. Motivasi dan komitmen mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan studi, jenis penelitian mahasiswa dan peran dosen pembimbing dalam menyelesaikan studi mahasiswa merupakan faktor lain yang memengaruhi keberhasilan studi mahasiswa dan lulusan Program Sinergi S1-S2 IPB.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the influence of guided inquiry learning models on empirical mental models and mastery of student concepts. This research was designed using a mix method approach or a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research. The research subjects were class IV SD Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. The results showed that the guided inquiry model had an effect on the mental model and mastery of the concept of fourth grade students of SD Aisyiyah Muhammdiyah 3 Makassar on the material properties of light.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap model mental  dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan menggunakan pendekatan mix method atau penelitian campuran kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV SD Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap model mental dan penguasaan konsep siswa kelas IV SD Aisyiyah Muhammdiyah 3 Makassar pada materi sifat-sifat cahaya.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical connection processes of Junior High School students in solving open-ended problems. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research were obtained through tests and interviews. The mathematical connections processes can be seen when students solve open ended mathematics story problems. The connection processes are based on three types of connections, namely concepts connections, procedures connection, and modelling connections. The research concluded that students can use all known information and connect the information so that they get the solution. The process of students’ mathematical connection is happened when the students were able to  change the mathematical story problem into mathematical model and to connect mathematical concepts and procedures. However, in general, students only solve one solution even the problem was open ended. The reason is that the students rarely have experience in solving open ended mathematics problem.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan proses koneksi matematis siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah open-ended. Sumber data penelitian ini dari hasil tes masalah open-ended dan hasil wawancara. Koneksi matematis dapat dilihat ketika siswa menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika yang open ended. Proses koneksi matematis siswa dianalisis berdasarkan tiga tipe koneksi, yaitu koneksi konsep, koneksi prosedur dan koneksi pemodelan matematika. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa siswa dapat menggunakan informasi yang diketahui dan mengoneksikan informasi tersebut sehingga diperoleh penyelesaian. Proses koneksi matematis siswa terjadi ketika siswa mampu mengubah soal ke dalam model matematis dan siswa mampu menghubungkan konsep dan prosedur matematika. Tetapi umumnya siswa hanya menjawab satu penyelesaian walaupun soalnya open ended. Alasannya adalah karena siswa jarang memperoleh pengalaman menyelesaikan soal open-ended.

Abstract

Abstract: Self-control helps junior high school students behave positively towards themselves and others. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of local wisdom in the cublak-cublak suweng game to the junior high school student self-control training. The research subjects were 8 junior high school students in Malang City using one group pretest-posttest design. Measurements used the Self-Control Scale and were analyzed by the Wilcoxon test and paired t-test. The results showed a significant difference in the improvement of junior high school students' self-control. Positive values of the cublak-cublak suweng game are internalized so that they can improve the management of their thoughts, emotions, and behavior. The suggestion given is more extensive testing of the same student characteristics.Abstrak: Kontrol diri membantu siswa SMP berperilaku positif terhadap diri sendiri dan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan penggunaan kearifan lokal permainan cublak-cublak suweng terhadap pelatihan kontrol diri siswa SMP. Subjek penelitian adalah delapan siswa SMP di Kota Malang dengan menggunakan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Pengukuran menggunakan Skala Kontrol Diri dan dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon dan paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan pada peningkatan kontrol diri siswa SMP. Nilai-nilai positif permainan cublak-cublak suweng diinternalisasikan agar dapat meningkatkan pengelolaan pikiran, emosi, dan perilakunya. Saran yang diberikan adalah pengujian lebih luas terhadap karakteristik siswa yang sama.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was intended to investigate the current needs of continuous professional development viewed from the eyes of novice and experienced teachers in Malang senior high schools. The study was conducted through a descriptive survey study. The results identified some similarities and differences of needs between the novice and experienced teachers. Based on the order of importance, novice teachers agree that they need professional development in (1) knowledge and understanding of learner’s characteristics and (2) pedagogical competencies in teaching the subject field, (3) knowledge about curriculum or syllabus, (4) teacher’s communication skill in the classroom, and (5) teaching and learning approaches. Meanwhile, the experienced teachers need CPD about (1) knowledge and understanding of learner’s characteristics, (2) pedagogical competencies in the subject, (3) Information and Communication Technology, (4) students’ evaluation and assessment, and (5) teaching and learning approaches. Knowing the findings above, policy makers are suggested to arrange CPD programs based on the teachers’ needs and learning styles. The suitability and effectiveness of the program must be put into consideration.Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengungkap kebutuhan Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan guru dilihat dari sudut pandang guru pemula dan berpengalaman di sekolah menengah atas di wilayah Malang. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei deskriptif. dan hasilnya menemukan bahwa terdapat persamaan dan perbedaan kebutuhan diantara guru pemula dan berpengalaman. Berdasarkan tingkat prioritas, PKB yang diperlukan guru pemula saat ini (1) pengetahuan tentang karakter peserta didik, (2) kompetensi pedagogik dalam mengajar, (3) pengetahuan tentang kurikulum atau silabus, (4) keterampilan berkomunikasi di kelas, (5) pendekatan belajar pembelajaran. Di lain pihak, guru berpengalaman memerlukan PKB tentang (1) pengetahuan tentang karakter peserta didik, (2) kompetensi pedagogik dalam mengajar, (3) penggunaan TI di dalam pengajaran, (4) penilaian peserta didik, (5) pendekatan belajar pembelajaran. Dengan mengetahui hal-hal diatas hendaknya pembuat kebijakan merancang program PKB berdasarkan kebutuhan dan gaya belajar masing-masing guru. Aspek kecocokan dan keefektivitasan program Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan perlu diperhatikan.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at elaborating the use of Instagram in teaching writing for university freshmen. This current study contained a reflection from a lecturer who had used Instagram to improve students’ writing skill through process-genre based approach. The data were taken from a reflective daily journal. Further, the journal specifically informed what worked well and what did not from the use of Instagram for writing skill improvement. The result showed that Instagram could significantly improve students’ writing skill, especially to help them find that writing was part of social activities and create a good composition that had been perfectly finalized.Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan Instagram dalam pengajaran writing skill (keterampilan menulis) pada mahasiswa tahun pertama. Penelitian tersebut berisi tentang sebuah refleksi dari seorang pengajar yang telah menggunakan Instagram sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran writing skill melalui pendekatan proses-genre. Data penelitian berasal dari jurnal harian yang sekaligus digunakan untuk mencatat serangkaian kegiatan yang dilalui pada proses pengajaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Instagram mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa sehingga mereka menyadari bahwa menulis merupakan bagian daripada kegiatan sosial serta, serta membantu mereka untuk bisa membuat sebuah karangan atau tulisan yang sempurna.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed at identifying the ability and direct current circuit through problem based learning with formative assessment. The research design used in this study was mixed method with embedded experimental design. The research subjects were the odd semester students of XII MIPA at MAN Kota Pasuruan in the academic year of 2019/2020 with direct current circuit material. The subjects were selected using purposing sampling technique. The data were analyzed using quantitative method with Descriptive Statistical Test, Normality Test and Effect Size Test, and using qualitative method. The results of paired t-test showed a significance indicating that Problem Based Learning with Formative Assessment gave better. The results of the N-gain score was in the medium category. The Effect size gave a strong influence. The data shows that Problem Based Learning with Formative Assessment gave a positive impact on the problem solving mastery of Direct Current Circuit.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penguasaan dan rangkaian listrik arus searah pada pembelajaran berbasis masalah disertai asesmen formatif. Rancangan Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan desain embedded experimental. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik MAN Kota Pasuruan kelas XII-MIPA Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 pada materi rangkaian arus searah. Pemilihan subjek dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan secara kuantitaif dengan Uji statistic Deskriptif, Uji Normalitas, dan Uji effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan memecahkan masalah Rangkaian Arus Searah dengan hasil yang lebih baik serta memberikan pengaruh yang kuat. Hal ini menunujukan bahwa Pembelajaran Berbasis  Masalah Disertai Penilaian Formatif memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah Rangkaian Arus Searah.
