Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences between the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and non-ASN, especially in the teaching profession, as well as their rights and performance. The method used is a literature study, by deeply exploring theories and concepts from various written sources. Analysis is done descriptively and critically to evaluate the available data. ASN includes Civil Servants (PNS) and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), while non-ASN includes Non-Permanent Teachers (GTT) and Permanent Foundation Teachers (GTY). This article discusses teachers' rights and welfare, as well as performance differences between ASN and non-ASN based on applicable regulations and empirical studies. The results show that employment status affects performance, with civil servant and certified teachers tending to perform better than non-civil servant teachers. This research emphasizes the importance of paying attention to teacher welfare and competency development to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Anxiety in learning mathematics is a significant issue that affects students' ability to understand and solve mathematical problems. Factors such as the learning environment, social stereotypes, and personal factors play a crucial role in triggering this anxiety. Research has highlighted the negative consequences of math anxiety on students' performance in everyday problem-solving and their academic achievement. Various strategies have been proposed to address math anxiety, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, cooperative learning, and realistic mathematics approaches. The implementation of innovative strategies such as gamification, flipped classrooms, and the integration of the history of mathematics has also proven successful in increasing students' interest and understanding of mathematics. Evaluations of studies indicate that cooperative learning models and guidance services focused on problem-solving have been effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes. With a deep understanding of the factors influencing math anxiety and efforts to address them, it is hoped that the quality of mathematics learning can be improved and students' anxiety in learning the subject can be reduced.

Abstract

The Decree of The Ministry of Education and Culture No 060/U/1993 allows the introduction of English in the primary school as a local content subject. Educators have debated for years about the teaching of English to young learners in Indonesia. It is recommended that students start learning English at fourth grade although in fact, many schools start earlier, even as early as in the kindergarten. Talking about the implementation of the EYL programmes, it is inevitable to recognize that many factors have affected the implementation. Several studies have been conducted by the instructors and teacher trainers. It was discovered that most teachers did not have sufficient knowledge of English, made common linguistic mistakes, did not know how to teach young learners and some other weaknesses. The writer made use of the research findings to conduct in-service trainings, especially for EYL teachers without any English education background. Based on the teacher questionnaires, this collaborative in-service training pinpoints specific areas: practical teaching techniques focusing on story-telling, playing games, using action songs, and making inexpensive media for classroom techniques. Why collaborative in service training? Conducting in-service trainings for EYL teachers takes time, energy, and money. In this case Suyanto and her teams have applied a strategy involving the teacher trainers or instructors, the EYL teachers, the local Ministry of Education, and the important community members (hotel manager, the wealthy and local sponsors). Proposals with clearly stated objectives (helping local teachers improve their skills and increase the quality of primary school education) have been accepted and positively supported by the local government, local ministry of education and local society.

Abstract

An essential component of personal development is education. Education gives people the values, abilities, and information they need to survive. Students' poor comprehension and enjoyment of Pancasila are caused by the family and society's lack of awareness and attention to putting Pancasila values into practice on a daily basis. Therefore, through Pancasila education, the government, schools, families, and society must work together to solve this issue. For students' overall growth, the Kurikulum Merdeka must incorporate the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) activities. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Pancasila values are applied in SMK Negeri 1 Pasuruan's Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Interviews with the homeroom instructor and a number of students in classes X were utilized to gather data for this case study study, which used a qualitative research methodology. According to the research findings, SMKN 1 Pasuruan's P5 has implemented Pancasila values through a variety of project activities that actively involve students. To guarantee the P5 program's durability and effectiveness, it is also crucial that all relevant parties—including the government, educators, school personnel, and the community—continue to support it. The article's consequences for scientific advancement and the research's restrictions are still quite low, nevertheless, so that future generations of researchers can carry on.

Abstract

Science is a way to study how nature works and unravel mysteries systematically. Science plays an important role in our daily lives, because science makes it easier for us to know the world around us and helps ease our work. Science and technology are two things that are related, with science creating new technology and technology creating new knowledge. The pace of development of science and technology is accelerating, but the human capacity to adjust to technological advances is limited or slow. The rapid development of the times produces increasingly high technology and experts in physics, biology, chemistry and others compete to create increasingly sophisticated, quality and environmentally friendly technology. This also affects the field of education. With the rapid development of technology, educators should utilize the technology as a learning tool to support learning activities. There have been many applications of the integration between technology and education such as classroom, zoom and even kahoot! The better quality of education will build a foundation for creating more qualified human resources and can be useful for advancing world civilization.

Abstract

The development in the world of photography is currently experiencing a fairly rapid increase along with the increasingly diverse prices of cameras such as DSLRs that are starting to be affordable. One of the unique fields of photography is Macro Photography, which is a technique of taking photos of small objects with clear details. The role of learning media for educators can be a supporting role in teaching and learning activities. Macro Photography can also be used as one of the learning media used in teaching and learning activities. After conducting research with descriptive qualitative methods, and using analysis that refers to the data obtained, as well as utilizing existing theories as supporting material, the purpose of this research is to find out how the influence of macro photography when used as a learning medium in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

Success in teaching and learning English is closely tied to the development of positive student character. Strong character traits help students harness their talents and build the resilience and self-confidence needed to face challenges and compete beyond the school environment. This study focused on the tenth-grade students of SMAN 1 Pemalang whose English proficiency was initially below the Minimum Competency Standard of 75. Pre-test results showed that 9 students (28.12%) did not meet the standard. After implementing character-based learning strategies, post-test results indicated significant improvement, with only 2 students (6.25%) falling short of the standard. The average score increased by 10.66 points, from 75.97 to 86.63. The integration of character-building activities fostered positive traits such as helpfulness, cooperation, care, confidence, sportsmanship, mutual respect, and high motivation. Feedback from questionnaires and interviews revealed that students felt more comfortable and happier in class, viewing it as a supportive and inclusive community. They learned in a relaxed environment, developed positive attitudes, and engaged in healthy, respectful competition. Ultimately, the cultivation of good character contributed significantly to their academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Talaqqi method in memorizing the Qur'an among students at the MI/elementary school level. This research employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach. The article was written by applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. Based on a search using the keyword "Talaqqi Method" on Portal Garuda within the past 10 years (2015–2024), 140 articles were found. After further filtering using additional keywords such as "Qur'an Memorization" and "MI Students", the number of findings was reduced to 21 articles. From these results, 7 articles were deemed relevant to the research topic. Thus, 7 articles were included in the inclusion criteria, while 133 articles were excluded. Based on the analysis of these seven journals, it was concluded that the Talaqqi method is highly effective in enhancing the ability of MI (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) and elementary school students to memorize the Qur'an. Through this approach, students can directly imitate the teacher's correct pronunciation, thereby minimizing reading errors. The analysis results show a significant improvement in memorization skills in various studies, whether using quantitative or qualitative approaches. Additionally, the Talaqqi method has positive impacts on non-academic aspects, such as fostering student discipline, responsibility, and patience.

Abstract

In daily life, a Muslim cannot escape from the guidance and teachings of the Qur'an because it is a guideline and Rahmatalil Alamin for all mankind in this world, which must be studied and practiced by a Muslim. To make the basic foundation of life and guidelines in human life, of course it must begin with the ability to read the letters of the Qur'an and be able to understand the laws of tajwid. This thesis discusses the learning of tajwid science to improve the ability to read the Qur'an in the congregation of the An-Nur Purwosari Pringsewu Mosque which aims to understand the learning of tajwid science so that it can improve the ability to read the Qur'an and to find out whether there is an influence in learning tajwid science to improve the ability to read the Qur'an in the congregation of the An-Nur Purwosari Pringsewu Mosque. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through tests (written and practical), and observation. The subjects of this study were the congregation of the An-Nur Purwosari Pringsewu Mosque, which was attended by the majority of mothers. Primary data was obtained directly from respondents through written tests and practical tests on learning the science of tajwid on improving the ability to read the Qur'an. All data from respondents' answers were used to describe the effect or not of learning the science of tajwid on improving reading the Qur'an at the An-Nur Mosque Congregation. The results of the study showed that the Congregation of the An-Nur Purwosari Pringsewu Mosque in carrying out the learning of the science of tajwid was very enthusiastic to understand the science of tajwid with only minimal abilities related to the science of tajwid. In this study, the learning material for the science of tajwid was delivered from the most basic, so that the mothers of the congregation could easily understand and experience many changes in their ability to read the Qur'an according to the science of tajwid, because they routinely studied it. Judging from the results of the hypothesis shows that the value of Sig = 0.000 which means that the value is smaller than the criterion value a = 0.05 (Sig 0.000 0.05), and also obtained the t-value from the t-test table of 17.542 with a significance level of 5% sample 30 then obtained r-table of 1.697 (t-count 17.542 r-table 1.697) so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected because there is a significant influence between learning tajwid science on improving the ability to read the Qur'an in the congregation of the An-Nur Purwosari Pringsewu mosque. From these results it is necessary to know what percentage of the influence is, seen from the results of the correlation / relationship value (R) which is 0.957. From the output, the coefficient of determination (R Square) is obtained as much as 0.917, which shows that the influence of the independent variable (Learning Tajwid Science) on the dependent variable (Improving the Ability to Read the Qur'an) is 91.7%. So 91.7% of learning Tajwid science has an effect on improving the ability to read the Qur'an in the congregation of the An-Nur Purwosari Pringsewu mosque.

Abstract

Mastery of English in early childhood can be obtained from direct and indirect interactions, but if it is difficult to convey orally then it can be shown by action. At the kindergarten level of education, the role of the teacher is very important to apply language learning methods, so that students can capture and understand the teaching given. The Total Physical Response (TPR) method is very suitable for English language learning in early childhood. The problem studied refers to the formulation of the problem as follows:  1) How does the teacher of TK PL Kartini Semarang implement English learning with TPR method for the students? 2) How do the students respond English learning using TPR? 3) What obstacles are faced by the teachers of TK PL Kartini Semarang when they use TPR? The research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the research include the teachers and students of TK PL Kartini Semarang. The conclusion of this research activity are: 1) Total Physical Response can be used to introduce vocabulary and simple instructions in English through movement and expression from the teacher; 2) Students of TK PL Kartini Semarang feel enthusiastic and happy in learning English vocabulary and instructions because they can express and do a lot of movements; 3) The obstacle faced by teachers of TK PL Kartini Semarang in the use of TPR is some instructions that need position change of the students make the class so rowdy so that teachers need extra monitoring toward student activities.
