Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted global tourism, altering travel behaviours and reshaping risk perceptions. This study investigates tourists' perceived risks and travel expectations in the new normal, focusing on Langkawi Island, Malaysia, and Bali, Indonesia, the two prominent Southeast Asian destinations. Using a qualitative approach, in-depth interviews with 60 participants (30 from each destination) revealed three key themes: destination risk, physical equipment risk, and vacation risk. The findings highlight the critical role of health and safety measures, including sanitation practices and digital innovations, in rebuilding tourist confidence. While Langkawi emphasizes family-friendly attractions and local travel bubbles, Bali leverages its cultural heritage and wellness tourism to align with evolving traveller priorities. Recommendations include adopting sustainable tourism practices, enhancing health communication, and integrating contactless technologies to foster resilience in the tourism sector. These insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers and stakeholders in designing adaptive strategies to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine customer satisfaction with the products and services offered at Le Blé Boulangerie Surabaya. Customer satisfaction serves as a key measure of business performance, indicating the extent to which a company fulfills or surpasses customer expectations. A qualitative case study approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of customers’ perceptions and experiences. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, involving both new and repeat customers, as well as internal stakeholders. The results reveal that customer satisfaction is shaped by several important factors, including product quality (such as taste, presentation, and variety), service quality, pricing, café ambiance, and location. Most customers expressed satisfaction with the consistency and quality of the products, along with the friendly and responsive service provided. Furthermore, emotional aspects such as comfort and overall atmosphere significantly contribute to the level of satisfaction experienced by customers. The study concludes that sustaining high product quality, enhancing service consistency, and continuously innovating menu offerings are crucial strategies for increasing customer satisfaction and fostering customer loyalty. These findings are expected to offer practical insights for improving customer experience within the culinary business industry.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a critical measure of healthcare quality, particularly in cardiac outpatient services where cardiovascular disease constitutes a major global health burden. In Indonesia, stroke and ischemic heart disease represent the leading causes of mortality, emphasizing the need for effective and responsive cardiac care. Despite a national hospital satisfaction rate of 82.7%, this figure remains below the government target of 90–95%, highlighting gaps in service delivery, especially in responsiveness and reliability. This study aims to examine the influence of Health Belief Model dimensions (perceived benefits and perceived barriers) and SERVQUAL service quality attributes (reliability and responsiveness) on outpatient satisfaction at a cardiac polyclinic, while controlling for sociodemographic factors such as age, gender, education, and marital status. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed, collecting data from 146 adult patients using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed through hierarchical multiple regression to determine the partial and combined effects of the independent variables. The findings indicate that responsiveness is the most dominant predictor of patient satisfaction, followed by reliability and perceived barriers, whereas perceived benefits and sociodemographic factors showed no significant influence. These results suggest that operational efficiency and barrier mitigation are more impactful than inherent medical benefits in determining patient satisfaction. The study concludes that prioritizing responsiveness, reliability, and the reduction of procedural barriers can substantially improve patient satisfaction, providing actionable insights for healthcare management and policy optimization.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to understand the dynamics of work culture and employee satisfaction in shaping service quality at Restaurant X. The background of this research is based on the increasing competition within the restaurant industry, which demands innovation, service consistency, and effective human resource management, making organizational work culture and employee satisfaction important internal factors. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method to obtain an in-depth understanding within the operational context of the organization. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with management and employees, as well as non-participatory observations of service activities. Data analysis was conducted thematically using an interactive model. The findings indicate that the internalization of customer-oriented work culture values, employee satisfaction through a supportive work environment, and the integration of both factors mutually reinforce one another in promoting responsive, consistent, and empathetic service practices. This study illustrates that the relationship between work culture and employee satisfaction plays a strategic role in supporting responsive and customer-oriented service practices.

Abstract

The increase in public awareness of environmental issues in recent years has prompted many companies to implement green marketing as part of their marketing strategy. Jago Coffee, as one of the pioneers in  the café-on-wheels concept  in Indonesia, uses an eco-friendly marketing strategy through collaboration with the environmental organization Bumiterra for forest reforestation in Borneo. The increasingly fierce competition in the coffee industry makes this research necessary to find out how Attitude to Green marketing and price perception affect  Jago Coffee's Brand Image, as well as its impact on  consumer Purchase Intention. The underlying theory of this research is the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). This study uses a quantitative method with survey techniques and involves 170 respondents who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships between variables. Validity and reliability tests using Cronbach's Alpha and Composite Reliability are used to ensure that the instruments used are valid and reliable. The results of the study show that both Attitude to Green Marketing and Price Perception have a significant effect on Brand Image, and Brand Image has the strongest influence on Purchase Intention. Although these two variables also have a direct effect on Purchase Intention, they become stronger when mediated by Brand Image. Interestingly, Price Perception shows a weaker direct influence on Purchase Intention, indicating that cheap prices alone are not enough to drive purchases in the absence of a strong brand image.
