Abstract

ABSTRACT Patient evaluations indicate that services meet a set of satisfaction standards, with these standards playing a role in determining how satisfied patients are. If their insights are comparable to or greater than anticipated, patients will be satisfied. The number of visits by pregnant women will be influenced by their level of satisfaction with the level of service provided by health service providers, which will have an impact on the medical condition of pregnant women. To determine the analysis of patient satisfaction levels with antenatal services at the Yuliarpan Medika Clinic, Bekasi in 2024. This study is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study was all pregnant patients who visited the Yuliarpan Medika Clinic, Bekasi. The maximum number of people who can be served is the total number of people, namely the number of people who can be served as a whole from the majority of patients visiting Yuliarpan Medika in one week with a maximum of 10 people. The relationship between health services provided by midwives and antenatal patient satisfaction levels was very strong. However, poor midwife attitudes were associated with one person's (10%) perception of poor service. This suggests that, although health services are generally considered very good, examples of poor midwifery can have an impact on the evaluation of overall service quality, especially Relationship Between Counseling Provided by Midwives and Antenatal Patient Satisfaction Level. However, poor midwife attitudes were the reason why one patient (10%) considered counseling inadequate. This emphasizes the importance of midwife attitudes as well as delivery methods and the quality of counseling materials in determining patient satisfaction.  Keywords: Patient Satisfaction, Antenatal Services.

Abstract

Background: Maternal mortality continues to be a pressing global health issue, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Postpartum complications, including poor sleep quality, can impede maternal recovery and are often exacerbated by unmanaged postoperative pain following cesarean section. Understanding the link between pain and sleep disturbance is critical to enhancing maternal care and recovery outcomes. Objective: This study aimed to examine the correlation between postoperative wound pain and sleep quality among women undergoing cesarean section at Koja District Hospital in 2020. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 40 postpartum women who met the inclusion criteria. Participants were selected through total sampling. Pain intensity was measured using a standardized numerical pain rating scale, while sleep quality was assessed using a validated sleep quality questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Pearson chi-square test to evaluate the relationship between pain severity and sleep quality. Results: The analysis revealed a statistically significant correlation between the intensity of cesarean wound pain and sleep quality (p = 0.001). Women reporting higher levels of postoperative pain were more likely to experience disturbed or poor-quality sleep. Conclusion: A significant relationship exists between postoperative pain and sleep quality in post-cesarean patients. These findings underscore the importance of effective pain management as part of comprehensive postpartum care to improve sleep quality and facilitate optimal recovery. Future studies are recommended to explore longitudinal effects and potential interventions targeting both pain and sleep in the postpartum period.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Every day in Indonesia 38 mothers die due to diseases/complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. (WHO, 2019). The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia in 2019 was 306/100,000 KH. This figure has decreased compared to the 2012 SDKI, namely 359/100,000 KH (Central Statistics Agency, 2017). The main cause of maternal death is approximately 75% due to postpartum bleeding, postpartum infection, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, prolonged/obstructed labor and unsafe abortion. Most maternal deaths occur (34%) during the delivery period and the first 24 hours after delivery. If pain during labor is not treated, it will increase feelings of worry, tension, fear and stress. Odeng honey or honey that comes from the forest is a natural ingredient with nutritional content: fructose, vitamin C, vitamin B6, riboflavin, folate, iron, calcium, phosphorus. , zinc, magnesium, manganese, copper, sodium and selenium. Abstract

According to the UNICEF report, there were 54 neonatal infant deaths per 1,000 live births worldwide in 2020. The highest neonatal mortality rate in 2020 was found in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, namely 27 deaths per 1,000 live births. In Indonesia, only 1 out of 2 babies under 6 months is exclusively breastfed, and only a little more than 5% of children are still getting breast milk at 23 months of age. Nationally, the coverage of babies receiving exclusive breastfeeding in 2019 is 67.74%. The inhibiting factor in breastfeeding is the production of breast milk which is less and slow to come out which can cause the mother not to give her baby enough. A method that is rarely used to speed up milk release and stimulate milk productivity is a combination of acupressure therapy and oxytocin massage. Knowing the effectiveness of the combination of acupressure therapy with oxytocin massage on the length of time to express breast milk in postpartum mothers. Quasi experimental with posttest only control group design. The sample in this study were all postpartum mothers at BPM. Indah Susilowati in August-October 2022 as many as 30 people, the sampling technique is total sampling. The average time for breastfeeding in the intervention group was 2.16 hours and in the control group 2.79 hours. Abstract

Introduction: Perineal rupture occurs in almost all deliveries causing bleeding and infection, if not treated immediately it can cause death. One effort to reduce the occurrence of perineal rupture is the pressing position. Poned Jayakerta Health Center Karawang Regency in 2020 it was found that 66,8% had a perineal rupture, in 2021 it was found that 64,7% had a perineal rupture. When giving birth, the position that is often used is the semi-fowler and side-lying position. Methods: This research is quantitative analytic research with a post-test-only design with control groups. The sample in this study were mothers giving birth at the Poned Jayakerta Health Center Karawang Regency totaling 30 respondents with a total sampling technique. The research instrument uses an observation sheet. The data is primary data analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results of univariate analysis of the incidence of perineal rupture in the semi-fowler pressing position group with an average = 0,93; the incidence of perineal rupture in the supine position lying on its side with an average = 1,67. There is an effectiveness of the semi-fowler pressing position with a side-lying position on the incidence of perineal rupture with a p-value = 0,009. Discussion: The semi-fowler pressing position is more effective than the side-lying position in reducing the incidence of perineal rupture. Mothers in labor are expected to cooperate with midwives when facing the 2nd stage of labor so that mothers can follow guidance and direction from midwives when carrying out the pressing position and are able to press properly which has an impact on reducing the incidence of perineal rupture.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on research by the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) the number of mothers who have breastfed their children in Indonesia is already high, namely 90% but those who provide exclusively for 6 months are still low at 20%. Breastfeeding is recommended for up to two years. From the preliminary study that the researchers conducted, the knowledge of primigravida mothers in the Carita Health Center area was still lacking. The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies 0-6 months in the Carita Health Center area was still low at 65%.  Methods: This method uses an experimental method, a pre-experimental design in the form one group pre-test-post-test design. The sample in this study were primigravida mothers in the working area of the Carita Public Health Center, Pandeglang Regency, totaling 46 people. The sampling technique used in this research is total sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test.  Results: Primigravida mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding before being given intervention in the Carita Health Center area most of them had less knowledge namely as many as 24 respondents (52,2%). After being given the intervention, most of them had sufficient knowledge namely as many as 26 respondents (56,5%). The results of the paired t-test showed that before and after giving health education through animated video media, the p-value was 0,000 (<0,05).  Discussion: There is an effect of health education through animated videos on knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding in primigravida mothers in the Carita Health Center area.
