The prevalence of anxiety in Indonesia is 28,7% of 107,000,000 third-trimester pregnant women experiencing anxiety in facing childbirth. The way to deal with anxiety is non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is massage for pregnant women. Methods: Using a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest group design means that the researcher made observations before and after the intervention without a control group. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 30 respondents. Nominal and ordinal scale data variables were analyzed data with the Wilcoxon test with α ₌ 0,05. Results: Showing the effect of massage for pregnant women on the level of anxiety facing childbirth in third-trimester primigravida women with test analysis Wilcoxon obtained a significance value of 0,000 (p < 0,05) and it can be concluded, there is a significant difference the effect of massage for pregnant women on reducing the level of anxiety of pregnant women facing labor before and after being given a massage for pregnant women. Discussion: There is a significant difference in the effect of massage for pregnant women on reducing the level of anxiety of pregnant women in facing labor before and after the intervention. Abstract

Introduction: Based on research by the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) the number of mothers who have breastfed their children in Indonesia is already high, namely 90% but those who provide exclusively for 6 months are still low at 20%. Breastfeeding is recommended for up to two years. From the preliminary study that the researchers conducted, the knowledge of primigravida mothers in the Carita Health Center area was still lacking. The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies 0-6 months in the Carita Health Center area was still low at 65%.  Methods: This method uses an experimental method, a pre-experimental design in the form one group pre-test-post-test design. The sample in this study were primigravida mothers in the working area of the Carita Public Health Center, Pandeglang Regency, totaling 46 people. The sampling technique used in this research is total sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test.  Results: Primigravida mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding before being given intervention in the Carita Health Center area most of them had less knowledge namely as many as 24 respondents (52,2%). After being given the intervention, most of them had sufficient knowledge namely as many as 26 respondents (56,5%). The results of the paired t-test showed that before and after giving health education through animated video media, the p-value was 0,000 (<0,05).  Discussion: There is an effect of health education through animated videos on knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding in primigravida mothers in the Carita Health Center area.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women is a global health issue affecting maternal and fetal health. Supplemental feeding (SF) is an intervention to address CED, but its success depends on maternal satisfaction with the program. This study analyzed the relationship between maternal satisfaction, weight gain, and reduction in CED incidence among pregnant women. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design, 150 pregnant women from three health centers (Kutawaluyo, Kutamuki, Sukatani) were studied. Data were collected via questionnaires covering satisfaction with SF, weight gain, and nutritional status. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between satisfaction with SF and weight gain (p = 0.04). Logistic regression revealed that satisfied mothers were 2.8 times more likely to achieve healthy weight gain than dissatisfied ones (OR = 2.8, p < 0.01). Maternal satisfaction was crucial for SF success in preventing CED. Psychosocial factors like communication between mothers and health workers and family support significantly influenced satisfaction levels. The study underscores the importance of tailoring SF programs to pregnant women’s needs and strengthening health policies to reduce CED prevalence. Enhanced maternal satisfaction with SF can improve nutritional outcomes, benefiting both mothers and their unborn children.

Abstract

Pregnancy represents a profound physiological and psychological transition, often accompanied by significant discomfort, particularly during the third trimester. This discomfort, in turn, frequently triggers heightened levels of anxiety among expectant mothers. Pregnancy-related anxiety is a pervasive psychological condition, as highlighted by data from the WHO in 2015, which indicated that approximately 10% of pregnant women and 13% of postpartum women worldwide experience mental health disorders, including trauma and depression. Elevated anxiety during pregnancy poses considerable risks to both maternal and fetal health. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of self-hypnosis in reducing anxiety levels among third-trimester pregnant women. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was applied, involving 40 pregnant women experiencing anxiety. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant reduction in anxiety levels following the self-hypnosis intervention (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). These findings highlight self-hypnosis as an effective, non-invasive, and accessible therapeutic approach for improving maternal psychological well-being, with potential benefits for both maternal and fetal health.
