Abstract

Educational institutions are places for educational activities that aim to change lives for the better. The development of digital technology requires educational institutions to establish and develop the education system continuously. This article explores the challenges and prospects of Islamic educational institutions and their sustainability in the digital technology era. The method used for this article is the qualitative inductive content analysis method. The findings are 1) Political changes, economic changes, and socio-cultural changes in society require Islamic education institutions to upgrade the institutional system and control all institution's activities. 2) Islamic education institutions' prospects include improving human resources and service quality, effectiveness and efficiency of financial management, and emphasizing promotion costs. 3) The future of Islamic education institutions, namely the sustainability of the institution's existence, the sustainability of the quality level of the institution, and the sustainability of invested resources.

Abstract

Incorporating entrepreneurship into education is an alternative solution to improve the quality of school graduates. This study aims to deeply analyze some of the components of entrepreneurship core competency and curriculum integrated with several local cultural advantages and local products. The method used to analyze in depth the components used the structural equation model (SEM). The total sample was 180 respondents, with the details being Indonesian public and private high school teachers, curriculum experts, and professional entrepreneurs from Kitakyushu University Japan and IAIN Syekh Nurjati Indonesia. The results show that the entrepreneurial core competencies are significantly related to a curriculum integrated with local culture and products. Path analysis shows that each indicator of entrepreneurial core competence and integrated curriculum with cultural advantages and local products are interrelated and significantly influence each other. Entrepreneurship education is relevant for creating graduates with additional abilities. Curriculum integration of the advantages of local culture and products can also foster students' love for local culture and products as a national identity. The research contributes to providing information and recommendations to teachers and schools about the importance of entrepreneurship core competencies. Besides that, it proves that entrepreneurship learning for high school students is more accessible through the local culture and product approaches.

Abstract

The process of accepting the condition of children with special needs requires family support. Self-acceptance of children is an important aspect that parents need to have. Parents often show various reactions when dealing with children with special needs. One response that usually arises is to give high demands or expectations to children, which can be a sign that they have not entirely accepted the child's condition. This phenomenon is known as denial or rejection of the reality experienced. The study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and self-acceptance of parents of children with special needs in S.L.B. Quantitative research design with a Cross-Sectional approach. The population of 40 parents with children with special needs in S.L.B. used total sampling to obtain a total sample of 40 people. The research instrument was a family support and self-acceptance questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman Rank test approach method. The study results showed that family support had a sufficient category of 20 respondents (50%). The self-acceptance of parents with special needs children was obtained in the high category of 15 respondents (37.5%). The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.018 (<0.05), indicating a relationship between family support and self-acceptance of parents with children with special needs in S.L.B. Suggestions for parents who have children in S.L.B. should socialize more often with family, relatives or the surrounding environment so that they can provide support and motivation to increase self-acceptance and continue to explore their child's potential so that parents are more accepting of their child's condition. Abstract

Mathematics is the basic science of all sciences or the first step in learning other sciences, one of which is in education. In the world of education, especially the Indonesian state mathematics subjects ranked lowest in the TIMSS or PISA survey, it is suspected that one reason is the lack of understanding of students' concepts in mathematics. The purpose of this study was: to determine the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts. This research is a test of the problem in accordance with the indicators in the ability to understand the concept. The population of this study is the tenth grade students at SMAN 1 Cilimus 2018/2019 school year. The sample of this study is class X IPS 5. Based on data analysis it can be concluded that: the ability of students' mathematical understanding is still lacking especially in class X IPS 5.

Abstract

Di Era Pandemi Covid 19 perubahan terjadi yaitu pada proses pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran menjadi tidak dibatasi oleh ruang dan waktu. Penggunaan ICT merupakan sebuah tantangan dan salah satu bentuk motivasi bagi pengajar untuk dapat berinovasi dalam gaya atau metode mengajar. Hippo Animator memiliki fleksibelitas bagi peserta didik dapat digunakan secara online dan offline. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu menganalsis penggunaan Hippo animator dalam upaya mengoptimalkan hasil belajar secara daring di era pandemi covic 19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui desain kuasi-eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 164 mahasiswa. 2 kelas adalah kelas kontrol sebanyak 82 mahasiswa. 2 kelas adalah kelas eksperimen sebanyak 82 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaa Hippo Animasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan statistika dan self-confidence secara signifikan. Selain itu, dapat meningkatkan kemampuan melek statistik (statistical literacy), penalaran statistik (statistical reasoning) dan berfikir statistik (statistical thinking) secara signifikan. Penerapan Hippo Aminator pada penelitian ini memberikan warna berbeda dalam pembelajaran statistika.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang paling banyak dibenci oleh sebagian besar para pelajar yang ada di dunia, khususnya para pelajar yang ada di Indonesia. Alasan mata pelajaran matematika dibenci oleh sebagian besar pelajar adalah karena metode pembelajaran yang sangat membosankan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan sebuah teknik belajar matematika yang menarik dan menyenangkan dengan cara mengikuti bimbel berbasis online Quipper Video. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa SMA Negeri 3 Majalengka yang melakukan bimbel online. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa, (1) Terjadi peningkatan pada proses belajar matematika siswa milenial pada aspek hasil, motivasi, dan aspek rencana pembelajaran. (2) Model pembelajaran dalam Quipper Video berpengaruh positif terhadap kualitas pembelajaran matematika pada siswa. (3) Siswa yang dijadikan objek penelitian cukup semangat dan berpartisipasi terhadap proses belajar matematika melalui Quipper Video. (4) Fasilitas komputer ataupun android adalah faktor pendukung terciptanya pembelajaran matematika berbasis online Quipper Video (5) Minimnya fasilitas serta motivasi yang rendah merupakan faktor penghambat dalam proses pembelajaran matematika berbasis online Quipper Video.

Abstract

Technology can give students more knowledge but can reduce moral values and social behavior. This phenomenon is a challenge faced by Islamic educators. Islam is not against the current development of digital media but provides teachings to use digital media wisely, which pays attention to morals and character. This research aims to analyze the role of Islamic religious education in social media. This research method is qualitative through a phenomenological approach. The results of the research show that through digital technology, it is hoped that it can instill religious values, and educators will continue to develop Islamic religious learning through the Internet media. The process of interaction through social media needs to pay attention to good communication ethics. Providing Islamic Religious Education is essential to avoid the behavior of Gibah, Su'udzon, Tajasuss, Slander, and Sukhriyah to provide understanding so that cyberbullying does not occur. The vulnerability of provocations through social media is that Islamic Religious Education is urgently needed to control negative provocations through social media. This research contributes to providing knowledge of the importance of Islamic religious education in social media in cyberspace.

Abstract

Geometry demands profound deductive-axiomatic reasoning; however, Generation Z has grown up within a digital culture that prioritizes instant visual information. This study aims to analyze the epistemological obstacles in geometry encountered by Gen Z students resulting from the influence of these digital culture characteristics. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method involving 250 high school students born between 2007 and 2010 in the City and Regency of Cirebon. Data were collected through diagnostic tests and in-depth interviews, then analyzed using Brousseau’s theoretical framework. The results identify a shift in the forms of obstacles: first, visual-perceptual obstacles, where students validate geometric truth solely based on visual appearance, adhering to a "what looks right is right" mindset while disregarding deductive logic. Second, instrumental obstacles, characterized by a dependence on instant problem-solving applications, which hinders the construction of mental concepts. Digital culture is shown to facilitate an "illusion of understanding" and reduce student resilience in engaging with lengthy mathematical proofs. This study contributes as a foundation for designing didactic strategies to mitigate the negative effects of the culture of instant thinking, emphasizing the importance of transitioning from digital visualization toward rigorous analytical proof.

Abstract

Being helpless, unwelcome, and lacking a sense of freedom are the three characteristics of poverty. A country that is said to be prosperous can be seen from high economic growth. Economic growth influences reducing the problem of poverty. The lower the level of poverty will cause various kinds of socio-economic problems in a country. This study aims to find the direct and indirect effect of the independent variables, namely the effect of the General Allocation Fund (DAU), Regional Original Income (PAD), and Special Allocation Fund (DAK) on Poverty through Economic Growth. The research is a quantitative study using the regression analysis method by combining cross-section and time series data using Eviews 9.0 Software. This study took the object of research in 29 regencies in West Java Province for the period 2016 - 2020. Panel data source from the provincial annual report, Director General of Balance, Ministry of Finance, West Java BPS. The results of the study show that general allocation funds have a significant effect on economic growth. Special allocation funds have a significant effect on economic growth. However, local revenue does not have a significant effect on economic growth. This study contributes that the economic improvement plays an important role in reducing poverty.

Abstract

Technology can improve the learning process more quickly and effectively to improve students' cognitive skills. Technology-based learning media is not only for prospective teachers but can be helpful for prospective health workers. One indicator that shows prospective health workers' quality is the health services' ability. Therefore, preparing prospective health worker students who are technologically literate and highly motivated is necessary. This study aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of Medical Information System software to improve the ability of health administration services and student motivation. The quantitative method with pre-experimental design. Pre-experimental design with one group through pre-test, intervention (treatment), and post-test. This research was conducted at STIKes Cirebon with a total sample of 110 students. The results showed that after implementing the medical record software, descriptively, there was an increase in the percentages of responsiveness, reliability, assurance, empathy, and administrative service quality. In addition, each indicator of student motivation increases. Based on hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that Medical Information System medical record software can significantly improve the ability of health administration services and student motivation. This research contributes to providing information to students and lecturers about health administration learning technology.
