Abstract

Sebagian besar masyarakat Desa Onang menekuni pekerjaan bertani tanaman pangan dan buah-buahan, juga memelihara ternak kambing, sapi, dan ayam. Industri pertanian dan peternakan menyumbang produksi limbah hasil samping dan limbah kotoran yang tidak diolah, tidak dimanfaatkan hanya dibuang dan dibakar. Oleh karena itu, apabila limbah-limbah tersebut  tidak di olah akan menyebabkan pencemaran berupa bau busuk, dan dapat mengundang vector penyebar wabah penyakit baik pada bidang pertanian, ternak dan juga manusia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada anggota kelompok tani/peternak dalam mengolah limbah biomassa menjadi kompos. Serta menambah keterampilan anggota kelompok tani/peternak dalam memanfaatkan limbah dengan kombinasi mikroorganisme dan vermicompos. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei lokasi kegiatan, sosialisasi, penyerahan alat dan pelatihan. Sosialisasi meliputi pemberian materi tentang limbah, manfaat dan pengolahannya menjadi produk penunjang hasil pertanian dan peternakan. Pelatihan pengolahan limbah biomassa menjadi kompos dengan metode kombinasi mikroorganisme (mikrobat) dan vermikompos. Kegiatan survei lokasi dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara dan berkoordinasi dengan kepala desa Onang, sehingga didapatkan hasil bahwa permasalahan yang terdapat desa Onang adalah limbah yang melimpah. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilakukan dengan memaparkan materi tentang pengenalan limbah, manfaat dan pengenalan teknologi sehingga timbul beberapa pertanyaan terkait pengolahan limbah menjadi kompos. Kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu penyerahan alat yang meliputi alat dan bahan yang dipergunakan pada kegiatan pelatihan. Kegiatan pelatihan ini yaitu sebelum melakukan pelatihan terdapat 25% peserta yang memahami pembuatan kompos dan setelah melakukan pelatihan pengetahuan peserta meningkat menjadi 75% yang memahami pembuatan kompos. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu setelah melakukan kegiatan ini terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok tani/peternak dalam mengolah limbah menjadi kompos.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder experienced by children due to chronic nutritional deficiencies, one of the causes of which is inadequate nutrition and repeated infections during the first 1000 days of a child's life. Acceleration in reducing stunting can be done by optimizing existing resources, one of them is by optimizing the role of posyandu cadres through growth monitoring training and education related to nutritional fulfillment during 1000 HPK. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of cadres in early detection of stunting and understanding the importance of 1000 HPK in preventing stunting. The method of implementing community service is carried out in 3 stages, namely the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The educational media used are in the form of slideshows and leaflets. The evaluation of this community service activity is through the provision of a pre-post test questionnaire. From the results of the activity evaluation, the knowledge of cadres has increased after participating in toddler growth monitoring training and 100 HPK nutrition education. Empowerment of posyandu cadres in the form of increasing knowledge or training provided can improve the knowledge, skills, and motivation of cadres to play an active role in preventing or overcoming stunted toddlers in Indonesia.

Abstract

North Bonde Village is one of the villages that is a stunting locus in Majene Regency. The high number of stunting is caused by the low use of local food by the community. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of KPM and the community in making local food -based MP ASI innovations, which are also an independent effort to reduce stunting numbers. Mitra in this service activity is KPM and mothers who have toddlers, as many as 40 participants. PKM activities are carried out in the form of education and cooked demonstrations. The implementation of activities is divided into 3 stages, namely the education preparation phase, the implementation stage of the activity and then the third stage of the evaluation of the implementation of the activity. The results of the pre-post test obtained related to knowledge about the practice of providing the right MP-ASI/snacks that is before being given education is identified that most participants answered wrong (55.8%), after education the results of post-test knowledge increased by 50%so that an increase in correct answers was 94.2%. Then the results of the cooking demonstration are assessed objectively by looking at the processed MP-ASI results, all participants (100%) are able to make processed MP-ASI that are demonstrated. Local Food -Based Cooking Education and Demo is proven to be effective in increasing the knowledge and skills of mothers of toddlers, so it is recommended to be replicated in other stunting locus areas as an independent effort to accelerate stunting decreases.

Abstract

Dismenore (nyeri haid) merupakan salah satu keluhan umum yang ditemukan pada perempuan yang terjadi sebelum dan atau selama menstruasi. Namun, permasalahan dismenore dapat menganggu produktifitas pada perempuan serta jika tidak ditangani lebih lanjut akan berdampak pada permasalahan kesehatan yang serius. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian dismenore pada mahasiswi di Majene. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel penelitian adalah 99 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah karakteristik responden, status gizi, usia menarche, riwayat dismenore, aktifitas fisik dan tingkat stress, yang dikumpulkan melalui google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara status gizi (p-value = 0,048) dan tingkat stress (p-value = 0,027) dengan kejadian dismenore. Sementara variabel yang tidak berhubungan adalah usia menarche, riwayat dismenore, dan aktifitas fisik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah variabel yang berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kejadian dismenore pada mahasiswi di Majene adalah status gizi dan tingkat stress, sementara yang tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan adalah usia menarche, riwayat dismenore serta aktifitas fisik.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effect of mocaf and millet substitution on traditional Jepa food. This study was conducted using a one-factor Randomized Block Design method. The development of modified jepa was carried out with three treatments and three replications. The first treatment was traditional jepa with a composition of cassava (25g) and coconut (20g); the second treatment was mocaf-modified jepa with a composition of mocaf flour (20g), and coconut (30g); and the third treatment was wet millet flour (20g) and coconut (30g). All treatments were tested organoleptically by trained panelists, followed by proximate analysis on the three samples. The results of this study indicate that the substitution of mocaf and millet in traditional Jepa food can increase the liking for jepa and improve its nutritional value.

Abstract

Abstrak. Hipertensi menjadi salah satu penyebab kasus kematian dan kesakitan di Indonesia. Keadaan peningkatan tekanan darah menjadi faktor utama morbiditas dan mortalitas akibat hipertensi. Hipertensi yang tidak teratasi dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan diantaranya gelisah, sesak nafas, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, insomnia, impotensi, ensepalopati hipertensif dan masih banyak lagi. Penatalaksanaan pada kejadian hipertensi dapat diberikan dengan cara farmakologis dan non farmakologis.. Pendekatan farmakologis diantaranya dengan memberikan obat antihipertensi pada pasien yang dikarakteristikkan pada penderita hipertensi derajat 1 dengan peningkatan tekanan darah selama 6 bulan berturut-turut. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada pasien hipertensi dalam mengkonsumsi Green Smoothies Pakchoy sebagai pangan alternative untuk menurunkan tekanan darah. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini memberikan pendampingan pemberian Green smoothies pakcoy sebanyak 400 ml/hari setiap pagi selama 7 hari. Pengukuran tekanan darah pada hari pertama sebelum pemberian, pada hari ke-4 untuk mengontrol tekanan darah dan satu hari setelah pemberian green smoothies pakcoy Abstract. Hypertension is one of the causes of death and morbidity in Indonesia. The state of increased blood pressure is a major factor in morbidity and mortality due to hypertension. Unresolved hypertension can cause health problems including anxiety, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, insomnia, impotence, hypertensive encephalopathy, and many more. Management of hypertension can be given by pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. Pharmacological approaches include giving antihypertensive drugs to patients characterized by grade 1 hypertension with increased blood pressure for 6 consecutive months. This service aims to provide assistance to hypertensive patients in consuming Green Smoothies Pakchoy as an alternative food to lower blood pressure. The activity method used in this activity provides assistance in providing 400 ml of Pakcoy Green smoothies/day every morning for 7 days. Measurement of blood pressure on the first day before administration, on the 4th day, to control blood pressure, and one day after giving green smoothies.

Abstract

SSGI 2022 showed that stunting’s prevalence rate in West Sulawesi is 35%, which is the second highest in Indonesia. Majene had the highest stunting prevalence rate in West Sulawesi in 2022, namely 40,6%. This study aimed to determine environmental factors (sanitation and exposure to cigarette smoke) that could affect children's development and could have an effect on increasing the incidence of stunting in toddlers. This research was carried out in Banggae District using case control study from April until June in 2023. The population in this study were 24 to 59-month-old toddlers. This research used a simple random study to obtain sample as many as 66 subjects. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire sheet containing information about the characteristics of mothers and children, water intake descriptions, and environmental sanitation in the past two years. All obtained data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate chi-square tests to determine the relationship between all variables. The statistical test results for the relationship between drinking water sources and stunting were a p-value=0,012 (<0,05) and p-value=0,018 (<0,05) for the relationship between water processing and stunting. The chi-square test results for the relationship between the quality of physical water and stunting in children were a p-value=0,001 (<0,05) and an OR value of 0,320. The conclusion of this study is that several environmental factors, such as sanitation and exposure to secondhand smoke, can affect child development and significantly affect the number of stunting in children in Banggae, Majene, West Sulawesi.
