Abstract

The problem in this study stems from the problem of decreasing literacy scores of elementary school children in south Tangerang below 75. The purpose of the study was to find indicators of book making that are able to make children tend to visually spatial like the books they read. This study used qualitatif research with data collection using Surveys.   There were 62 samples of grade 5 students who tend to think visual spatial The results of the study obtained the formulation of indicators in making books that are tailored for children who tend to think visual spatial. The findings formulate indicators for making storybooks for children to think visually spatial, that visual spatial children like many pictures with attractive color displays. They like comics because of the few sentences they read. They like simple language so that it is easy to understand.  They also like to read stories if there are similar cartoon characters they meet on television.

Abstract

A teacher has responsibility and tasks to mastering the knowlege tools required by pupils in their learning activities at the class. The reading comprehension problem in Tangerang Sub-District is lack of reading comprehension ability among students about the story questions. There are 30% of the pupils from Class 5 who encounter difficulty when reading about the story questions they do not know how to looking for the storyline and content.  As a result, their reading comprehension ability and rate decline as well. Moreover, when presenting the learning activities the learning method applied by teachers  is lack of variation, and they only use the classical methods. Average mid-term exam scores in the class for the lesson of Bahasa Indonesia is 70 and it remains under the governments target that has to have 75 points in average. The research purpose is 1) to know the influence of the contextual learning model on reading comprehension ability for pupils of the Fifth-Grade Elementary School. 2) to know the influence of the SAVI learning model on reading comprehension ability of the fifth grade elementary pupils. 3) to know which the learning methods is appropriate to be used to increase reading comprehension abillity for the fifth-grade elementary school pupils in Tangerang District. The research use 50 samples for the fifth grade elementary school pupils in two State Elementary Schools with the accredated status of A in Tangerang District. It is the quantitative resech with the quasi experiment research design. The data test uses the prerequsite test, i.e. homogeneity test and normality test. Mofeover, the hypothesis test uses the t-test and the one-way Anova. The results of the data test that use the t-test and one-way Anova show that the two model are able to increase the reading comprehension ability overall. The results of the one-way Anova test show that the results of comparing the two learning models that have the higher influence is the contextual model. The SAVI reading model has an influence to the reading comprehension ability. that the contextual learning model has an influence to the reading comprehension ability. the contextual learning model has a higher influence than the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low reading comprehension abilities and the lack of student activity in classroom learning activities. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the cooperative integrated reading composition learning model on fourth grade students' reading comprehension ability with story material. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental, with a sample size of 30 experimental class students and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of this research can be seen from the results of calculations using the Paired Sample t-Test type t test and the t test results obtained with a t value of 25.202, which can be interpreted as greater than t table 2.042, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results can be interpreted as meaning that there is an influence of the cooperative integrated reading composition learning model on students' reading comprehension abilities in class IV of MIS Al-Hidayah. It is hoped that the results of this research will be useful for school principals, teachers, students, and future researchers.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of listening ability in Indonesian language subjects and the lack of active participation in learning activities. This research also aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on the ability to listen to Indonesian language subjects. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental with a sample size of 29 students at SDN Karang Satria 02 for the 2022/2023 academic year, even semester, with a one group pretest posttest research design. Data collection techniques are documentation and tests. The research results can be seen from the results of calculations using the Paired Sample t-test type and the t test results obtained with a t value of -8.175. With a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 and a significance level of 0.05. This means that the significance of 0.000 is less than 0.05 so that is H0 rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of audio-visual media on the ability to listen to Indonesian language subjects in class V of SDN Karang Satria 02. The results of this research are expected to be useful to related parties who can use them, such as school principals, teachers, students and future researchers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya persoalan kemampuan  pemahaman  bacaan siswa yang masih rendah dengan nilai rata-rata harian berkisaran 70 di kelas 5 SD Negeri larangan 1 Tangerang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran SAVI (Somatic, Auditory Visual, Intelektual terhadap kemampuan pemahaman bacaan siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri Larangan 1. Adapun ada 25 sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Instrumen penelitian ini telah melewati uji validitas dan reliabilitas Data penelitian ini sudah memenuhi uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Adapun uji hipotesis untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan pemahaman bacaan adalah uji t. Setelah diberikan  perlakuan  berupa  model pembelajaran SAVI pada siswa yang mengalami lemahnya kemampuan pemahaman bacaan hasilnya menunjukan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman bacaan siswa mengalami peningkatan. Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap kemampuan pemahaman bacaan siswa di SDN Larangan 01 Tangerang Banten. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada hasil analisis pada uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t dengan hasil signifikansi yang didapat sebesar 0,000. Yang artinya nilai tersebut kurang dari taraf signifikansi yakni 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada hipotesis terjawab Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah adanya sejumlah anak yang tinggal di daerah prostitusi di Tangerang Selatan memilki perilaku buruk akibat dampak kegiatan prostitusi di wilayah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh stretegi pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap pemahaman perilaku baik anak pra sekolah di wilayah prostitusi Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kampung Buaran Tangerang selatan dengan jumlah 25 sampel acak baik lelaki dan perempu-an. Penelitian dilakukan bulan April tahun 2022 selama 1 minggu. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimen dengan menggunakan analisis data t tes. Intrumen tes sudah tervalidasi ahli dan layak digunakan untuk pengambilan sam-pel. Uji prasyarat menunjukan bahwa bersifat normal dan homogen. Hasil hipoteis menunjukan bahwa perbandingan t tes terdapat nilai signifikansi (sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai signifikans tabel 0,05 maka ada perbedaan anta-ra nilai pre tes sebelum perlakukan dan hasil nilai pos tes setelah dilakukan perla-kuan penggunaan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan memahami perilaku baik pada anak pra remaja yang terjadi di sekitar wilayah pros-titusi di Tangerang Selatan. Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah Strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah telah menunjukan adanya pengaruh secara sifgnif-ikans terhadap pemahaman anak terhadap perilaku baik di sekitar lingkungan pros-titusi Tangerang Selatan.

Abstract

The ability to listen to fairy tales has an important role in improving children's reading literacy skills, especially for elementary school children who are involved in the reading house community. This study aims to determine the relationship between the ability to listen to fairy tales and the ability to read literacy in children. The method used is a quantitative approach, with data collection through questionnaires or questionnaires The findings of the study revealed that children who can listen to fairy tales well generally have better reading comprehension, a wider vocabulary, and the ability to identify the main ideas in the text more effectively. In addition, the involvement of children in the reading home community provides a greater boost in listening and reading activities, which in turn increases their interest and motivation towards literacy. Therefore, listening to fairy tales can be used as an effective strategy to improve children's reading literacy skills, especially in a supportive community environment such as a reading house.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi di SDI Al-Amanah TangSel yang dimana peserta didik di kelas 2 masih kurang menanamkan perilaku sopan santun kepada teman sebayanya maupun kepada guru baik dalam berbahasa dan berperilaku di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif.Teknik pengumpulan data dengan triangulasi (gabungan) dan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.Bentuk strategi upaya pembiasaan sikap sopan santun agar menjadi bagian dari pola hidup seseorang yang dapat dicerminkan melalui sikap dan perilaku keseharian.Beberapa perilaku sopan santun yang ditanamkan di sekolah: Siswa bersalaman seraya mencium tangan guru setiap pagi, Membiasakan lima “S”, senyum, salam, sapa, sopan, santun, berjalan dengan sopan santun di hadapan guru, Semua itu terbingkai melalui nasihat, keteladanan dari para tenaga kependidikan serta pembiasaan yang dilakukan terhadap siswa. Menggunakan peran sekolah dalam memberikan contoh sikap sopan santun oleh guru dan menggunakannya sebagai model bagi peserta didik lalu mengintegrasi perilaku sopan santun dalam setiap mata pelajaran sehingga tanggung jawab perkembangan peserta didik tidak hanya menjadi beban guru agama dan pendidikan moral Pancasila .Siswa perlu diajarkan tentang pentingnya beribadah dengan sopan dan beradab. Sedangkan solusinya untuk menanamkan karakter sopan santun yaitu: penting bagi siswa untuk mendengarkan nasehat guru, menghargai teman sebaya, berbicara dengan sopan kepada guru atau orang yang lebih tua, mentaati peraturan di sekolah, disiplin dalam kelas, dan menunjukkan penghormatan kepada guru.

Abstract

Character education is an important aspect in elementary school learning, especially in forming the Pancasila Student Profile according to the Merdeka Curriculum. One innovative method that can be used is the use of children's songs as a learning medium. This study aims to analyze the effect of using the song "Ibu Kasur" on the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile in grade 1 elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data collection techniques are carried out through pre-test and post-test tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include normality tests (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity tests (Levene's Test), Paired Sample T-Test tests, Independent Sample T-Test tests, and descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in students' understanding of the values ​​of the Pancasila Student Profile after being given learning using the song "Ibu Kasur". This is proven by the results of the Paired Sample T-Test which showed a significance value (Sig.) <0.05, as well as a comparison of post-test scores between the experimental and control groups which showed a significant difference (Sig. <0.05 in the Independent Sample T-Test). In conclusion, the use of children's songs as a learning medium is effective in improving students' understanding of character values ​​in the Pancasila Student Profile. These findings can be a reference for educators in developing innovative and enjoyable learning methods.

Abstract

Banten Province is a province adjacent to the Capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. Many workers in Jakarta live in Banten Province. The high mobility of Banten workers working in Jakarta caused the outbreak of the Covid virus which is quite high in Banten. The focus of this research area is on one of the areas in Banten province, namely Tangerang and South Tangerang, which is the border area between Jakarta and Banten. For almost two years Covid, Tangerang and south Tangerang faced an increase in poverty rates and decreased quality of school-age human resources The increase in poverty affects students' ability to understand reading due to low purchasing power of children's reading books. The impact of reading comprehension skills in 5th graders is the focus of research. Inability to understand reading in children can affect regional and state development. This research aims to identify the competence of reading comprehension skills in elementary school children in Banten province. This study uses descriptive quantitative research using random sampling in 5th graders spread across two cities in Banten province. Data collection was done using tests in 5th graders as many as 110 participants. Data processing is carried out using average or mean on 3 cognitive reading comprehension abilities which are then displayed in graphic form. The results showed that there was a decrease in reading comprehension ability in 8 reading comprehension competencies. The average result of the value of the ability to understand reading in Banten province is 62. This research report provides input to local and central governments to address the decline in students' reading comprehension skills. The decline in household income in Banten has an influence on the decline in reading comprehension ability.
