Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of local potential-based booklets on biodiversity material that has been developed previously. This research uses an experimental method. The form of research design used is a quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan with a research sample of X MIPA class students as many as 60 students each from the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of the study, it can be stated that the local potential-based booklet media developed is effective, this can be seen from the significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the Mann Whitney U test at a real level of 0.5 resulting in a significance figure of 0.005 And learning using booklet media has an effect of 55.4% with an Effect Size of 1.03 in the high category. Abstrak.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas booklet berbasis potensi lokal pada materi keanekaragaman hayati yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Bentuk desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (Quasy Experimental Design). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan dengan sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X MIPA sebanyak 60 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa media booklet berbasis potensi lokal yang dikembangkan bersifat efektif, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap antara hasil pretest dan posttest.Hal ini dibuktikan dengan dari perolehan uji U Mann Whitney pada taraf nyata 0,5 menghasilkan angka signifikansi 0,00. Dan pembelajaran menggunakan media booklet memberikan pengaruh sebesar 55,4% dengan Effect Size 1,03 dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Effective learning media is needed to overcome the low retention of student learning on respiratory system materials in humans. One of the media that can be used is Nearpod Interactive Edugame . This study aims to determine the difference, influence, and magnitude of the effectiveness of nearpod interactive edugame on student learning retention. The research method used is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sempel determination using simple random sampling, class XI IPA 1 as experimental class and XI IPA 2 as control class. Treatment in the experimental class using Nearpod Interactive Edugame and control class using LKPD. Data collection techniques use measurement techniques and direct observation. Retention data collection tool with retest tests, posttest questions, and retests. The average retention value of the experimental class was 78.85 while the average retention value of the control class was 65.6. The significance of the Whitney retention U-Mann Test results was 0.005 (0.005<0.05). The result of the retention effect size obtained is 1.03 so that the criterion of the magnitude of the effect size is 55,4%%. Based on this, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in student retention and have an influence on the retention of students taught with Nearpod Interactive Edugame media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi yang ditandai dengan nilai yang belum mencapai KKM di kelas X IPA SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur efektivitas media komik digital terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Sampel penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X IPA SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes pilihan ganda dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 23.0 for windows. Hasil rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest pada kelas kontrol berturut-turut sebesar 28,33 dan 69,16 serta rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen berturut-turut sebesar 30 dan 79,23. Diperoleh angka signifikansi hasil Uji U-Mann Whitney hasil belajar sebesar 0.021(0.021 < 0.05), maka Ha dalam penelitian ini diterima. Hasil perhitungan Effect Size diperoleh nilai sebesar 3.33 (tergolong tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media komik digital dalam pembelajaran perubahan lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak.

Abstract

Musa campestris is a unique banana, has erect inflorescence with beautiful bracts and mature fruit colors so that it can be used as an ornamental plant. this study's objective is to analyze the morphological inflorescences and anther anatomical characteristics of the Musa campestris var. sarawakensis. Plant materials were collected in Sanggau regency. Morphological characterizations were conducted using International Plant Genetic Resources Institute for Musa spp. Sampel of anther was prepared using paraffin method, stained with 2% safranin and 1% fast green. Main features observed for Musa campestris var. sarawakensis inflorescence has erect rachis position and color external bract are helpful to characterize the male bud. Additionally, the main characteristics of anther include the presence helical ribs in endothecium. As expected, tetrasporangiate anthers with single vascular bundle in male flowers was observed. The main morphology characteristics of inflorescence and anther anatomy of Musa campestris var. sarawakensis are highlighted in this study, contributing to provide more information about the characterization of this species in West Kalimantan.

Abstract

Gunung Palung National Park (GPNP) has a diversity of ant, but the information as a source of learning is still lacking. This study aims to determine the diversity of ant species in the TNGP area and its potential as a source of learning. Research using descriptive qualitative method. Sampling used a pitfall trap placed on a line transect that passes through an alluvial soil forest. Collecting data on potential learning resources using the results of a questionnaire. The results showed that there were 90 individuals from 9 ant species specifically Dinomyrmex gigas, Polyrhachis bihamata, Rhytidoponera araneoides, Dolichoderus thoracicus, Axinidris Acholli, Hagensia havilandi, Myrmicaria brunnea, Anonychomyrma myrmex, Notostigma carazzii. The diversity of species of ants has the potential as a source of learning with indicators of clarity of potential (85%), ease of access (58.33%), security (91.66%), time efficiency (75%), cost (91.66%), suitability with learning objectives (100%), clarity of material objectives (100%), and clarity of information disclosed (100%). This research shows that information about ant diversity is very suitable as a source of learning biology, especially in the subjects of biology, biodiversity, and the classification of living things.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Squamata order in Gunung Palung National Park as a learning resource. The study was condicted through 2 stages. First to identify the diversity of squamata in SRCP TNGP with observation Visual Encounter Survey. Second to analyze the potiend of squamata diversity as biology learning resource using questionnaire to analyze the potential data as biology learning resource. The research findings revealed 15 individuals from 10 species and 6 families of the Squamata order. Based on the results and feedback from 8 respondents, squamata order is considered suitable as a learning resource. The requirements for a learning resource include clear potential, clear learning objectives, alignment with learning goals, clarity of information provided, clear exploration guidelines, and clear expected outcomes. The results of the lizard and snake inventory study in TNGP, as a biology learning resource, align with the attainment of basic competencies in the field of biology, encompassing various levels of biodiversity, ecology, and environmental change, specifically in the subtopic of environmental conservation, suitable for class X high school.

Abstract

The local potential of traditional preserved foods of the Malay community of Kayong Utara district can be developed into meaningful learning media. This study aims to analyse the validity and student response to the encyclopedia learning media developed. The research used the Research & Development method with the ADDIE development model. The research stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluation. The results showed the validity of the developed media in the aspects of language, material, and media with consecutive scores of 88.66% (very feasible), 95.33% (very feasible), and 99.33% (very feasible). Student responses were positive on the results of small-scale and large-scale trials with scores of 87.26% and 88.55% respectively. It is concluded that the encyclopedia of traditional food preserved by the Malay tribe of Kayong Utara Regency is feasible to use and gets a positive response to be used as a biology learning resource.

Abstract

The district of Sambas has a variety of cultures and traditions. The distinctive characteristic of the district of Sambas is embodied in the uniqueness of the buang abu tradition, which differs from the tradition in other areas. Besides, the tradition involves the use of some local plants. The research is aimed at identifying the types of plants used in the process of buang abu and identifying the suitability and validity of the potential of the plant types in the process of buang abu in Malay Sambas as a source of biological learning. The research uses qualitative descriptive methods. The quality of the potential of plants used in the buang abu tradition as a source of biological learning in the interpretation is very worthy, with a 100% presentation. The relevance of the material to the study of ethnobotany of the tradition of buang abu Melayu Sambas is consistent in achieving basic competence on the material of the high school level, namely biodiversity, classification of living creatures, plantae, growth and development of living beings, and the structure and function of tissues in plants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the difference in science literacy of class X students on plantae material with the Explore Nature Around (JAS) model assisted by google lens, (2) the effect of applying the Explore Nature Around (JAS) learning model assisted by google lens on students' science literacy on plantae material class X Taman Mulia. This type of research is Quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study were students of class X Taman Mulia. The sample consisted of two classes determined by random sampling technique. The instruments used consisted of science literacy tests and learning process observation sheets. The data were analyzed by t-test, the analysis was carried out using SPSS version 29.01 for windows which previously conducted homogeneity and normality tests at a significant level of 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusions were obtained.  (1) The difference in science literacy of class X students on plantae material with the Explore Nature Around (JAS) model assisted by google lens (2) the effect of applying the Explore Nature Around (JAS) learning model assisted by google lens on students' science literacy in plantae material class X Taman Mulia.

Abstract

The Malay tribe community in Natuna Regency still preserves one of the cultures, namely weaving several products that are used as tools to support their daily needs.  This study aims to determine the validity of the encyclopedia of woven plants of the Malay tribe in South Bunguran District, Natuna Regency and to determine student responses to the encyclopedia of woven plants of the Malay tribe in South Bunguran District, Natuna Regency. The method used is design and development (D&D). Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is found that the media encyclopedia of woven plants of the Malay tribe of Natuna Regency has fulfilled the validity aspects where the media aspect is 95.29% (very valid), the material aspect is 96.67% (very valid), and the linguistic aspect is 97.27% (very valid). Learners gave a very good response where on a small scale trial and a large scale got a small scale score of 91.04% (Very good) and a large scale of 93.50% (Very good). It can be concluded that the encyclopedia of woven plants of the Malay tribe in Natuna Regency can be utilized as a biology learning media that is included in biodiversity material.
