Abstract

Pembelajaran e-learning materi program linear,kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XI MAN Pematangsiantar pada pembelajaran e-learning materi program linear dan solusi menghadapi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XI MAN Pematangsiantar pada pembelajaran e-learning materi program linear. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran matematika dan siswa kelas XI MAN Pematangsiantar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik penjamin keabsahan data menggunakan teknik kredibilitas, transferbilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas.Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan ialah pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika melalui pembelajaran e-learning sudah dilakukan sebagaimana mestinya, yaitu dimulai dari pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan penutup, Kesulitan belajar siswa pada meteri program linear adalah kesulitan memahami konsep, prinsip dan operasi, dan solusi mengatasi kesulitan belajar menurut guru yaitu memberikan soal dan kuis kepada siswa agar siswa lebih terampil dan berusaha untuk memahami materi dan melakukan remedial, sedangkan solusi mengatasi kesulitan belajar menurut siswa yaitu bertanya kepada guru, kepada teman yang lebih paham dan mencari sumber referensi dari buku, internet dan juga youtube. ABSTRACK                    This study aims to determine the implementation of student learning at MAN Pematangsiantar in e-learning learning linear programming materials, learning difficulties for class XI students at MAN Pematangsiantar in e-learning learning linear programming materials and solutions to face learning difficulties for class XI students. MAN Pematangsiantar on e-learning linear programming material. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were mathematics teachers and students of class XI MAN Pematangsiantar. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The technique of guaranteeing the validity of the data uses the techniques of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results obtained are the implementation of mathematics learning through e-learning has been carried out properly, starting from the introduction, core activities and closing, Students' learning difficulties in linear programming are difficulties in understanding concepts, principles and operations and The solution to overcome learning difficulties according to the teacher is to give questions and quizzes to students so that students are more skilled and try to understand the material and do remedial, while the solution to overcome learning difficulties according to students is asking to the teacher, asking to friends who understand better and looking for source reference from the book, internet and youtube also.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan (Science, Technology, Art and Mathematics) STEAM terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik di SMP Swasta Diana Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis Quasi Eeksperimental (eksperimen semu) dengan menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek uji coba dalam peneitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Diana Medan. Hasil temuan penelitian ini nmenunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan STEAM terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pendekatan pembelajaran STEAM terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Swasta Diana Medan. ABSTRAK  This study aims to determine the effect of (Science, Technology, Art and Mathematics) STEAM approach on students' mathematical reasoning ability at SMP Swasta Diana Medan. This research is an experimental research with the type of Quasi-Experimental (pseudo experiment) using Nonequivalent Control Group Design and using a quantitative approach. The test subjects in this research were students in grade VIII of Diana Medan Junior High School. The findings of this study indicate that there is an effect of the STEAM approach on the mathematical reasoning ability of students on the material of flat-sided space building. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the STEAM learning approach on the mathematical reasoning ability of class VIII students of Diana Medan Private Junior High School.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di indonesia masih dihadapkan pada berbagai permasalahan, terutama rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa di kelas vii MTsN. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTsN 2 medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswa kelas vii MTsN 2 medan yang berjumlah 400 siswa. Dalam menentukan sampel peneliti menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, dari 10 kelas yang ada terpilih 2 kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas vii-a sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas vii-b sebagai kelas kontrol. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui instrument tes berupa soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model konvensional.ABSTRACT Mathematics learning in indonesia is still faced with various problems, especially the low creative thinking and mathematical communication skills of students. Therefore, a learning approach is needed that can help improve creative thinking and mathematical communication skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the creative thinking and mathematical communication skills of students in class vii MTsN. This research was conducted at MTsN 2 medan. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study were all 400 students in class vii MTsN 2 medan. In determining the sample, the researcher used the cluster random sampling technique, from 10 classes, 2 classes were selected assamples, namely class vii-a as the experimental class and class vii-b as the control class. Data collected through test instruments in the form of essay questions. The results of the study showed that the creative thinking and mathematical communication skills of students taught using the Project Based Learning model were higher than those taught using the conventional model.

Abstract

Difficulties in understanding integral material using visual media are often experienced by students, this is due to inappropriate use of visual media, and students' lack of understanding of integral material explained by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine the students' understanding of class XI about integral material, and the use of visual media in learning about integral material, as well as what kinds of difficulties students felt when understanding integral material. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, research data collection is done by utilizing observation data, written tests, interviews, and documentation review. The steps taken in analyzing the data are compiling the data, connecting the data, reducing, presenting the data, then making conclusions, and testing the validity of the data with crosscheck triagulation and technical triagulation. The results showed that students' understanding was still relatively low. This can be seen from the students' answers on the written test, of the 7 indicators of understanding there is only 1 indicator that is fulfilled, the indicator of restating a concept. The use of visual media is good enough, it's just that there are several stages that are not carried out, such as the stage of formulating teaching objectives by utilizing media and also teaching evaluation steps. There are 3 types of difficulties experienced by students when understanding integral material using visual media, difficulties in using concepts, difficulties in using principles, and difficulties in solving verbal problems

Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics teaching materials in the form of problem based student worksheets on geometry row material and also aims to find out the effectiveness and practicality of student worksheets which is developed in improving students critical thinking skills for grade XI MA/SMA. This research was conducted in class XI IPA 6 MAN 2 Model Medan, with the type of research and development and 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, dan Dessiminate). The research instruments used are validation by experts, questionnaires of student responses and test of learning outcomes after and before learning using the developed product. The problem-based student workshets developed in this study were declared valid by validator and field trials were carried out to see their effectiveness and practicality. The result obtained from validators is 78% for validator I those in the category are worthy of use, and for validator II obtained a percentage of 93% who entered the category of eligible to use and 100% percentage obtained from the media expert validator. Then the problem-based student worksheet developed is declared false and entered in the ccategory worthy of use. The problem-based student worksheet developed was also stated to be practical with a practicability test percentage of 77%. The problem-based student worksheet developed has met the effective criteria based on the percentage of classical learning completeness of 80% with the results of 75% which means that the problem-based student worksheet developed is in the category quite effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of The Personalized System Of Instruction Learning Model And Horay Course Review On The Ability To Understand Concepts And Activeness Of Class X Students Of Private High School Harapan Mekar Medan Learning Year 2021-2022. This research methodology uses quantitative research methods. The research population is all students of class X of Sma Swasta Harapan Mekar Medan with a total of 28 students in experimental class 1, namely class X-A and 27 students in experimental class 2, namely class X-B. The sampling method is non-probability sampling with a saturated sampling technique where the researcher will take all members of the population to be sampled. Data analysis was carried out with a t-test, with the following results: 1) There is an influence of PSI on concept understanding ability 2) There is an influence of PSI on student activity 3) There is an influence of CRH on students' concept understanding ability 4) There is an influence of CRH on student activity 5) There is no difference in the ability to understand concepts taught with PSI and CRH 6) There is no difference in activeness taught with PSI and CRH.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah modul pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika budaya Sumatera Utara yang valid, praktis, dan efektif bagi siswa kelas X di SMA Sinar Husni pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, melibatkan 24 siswa dari kelas X-2. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi ahli, angket respons guru dan siswa, serta tes (pre-test dan post-test). Data yang terkumpul dianalisis untuk menilai validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ini sangat valid, dengan rata-rata skor 80,93%. Selain itu, modul ini juga sangat praktis, terbukti dari angket respons guru (95%) dan siswa (86,14%). Peningkatan efektivitas juga terlihat dari hasil post-test, di mana modul ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan skor 0,7758. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran etnomatematika ini valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas X SMA.Kata Kunci: Modul Pembelajaran; Etnomatematika; Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah SiswaDevelopment of Ethnomathematics-Based Learning Modules on Probability to Improve Problem-Solving Abilities of 10th Grade High School StudentsABSTRACTThis study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective ethnomathematics-based learning module for the 10th grade of Sinar Husni High School for the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used was research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The study was conducted on 24 students in class X-2 at SMA Sinar Husni. Data was collected through expert validation sheets, response questionnaires from teachers and students, and tests (pre-test and post-test), then analysed using validity analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis techniques. The results indicated that the module was highly valid, averaging 80.93%. The module was also highly practical, as evidenced by teacher response questionnaires reaching 95% and student response questionnaires at 86.14%. Furthermore, the post-test results indicated that the module effectively improved students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, with an effectiveness value of 0.7758. Overall, it could be concluded that this ethnomathematics-based learning module was valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the mathematical problem-solving abilities of 10th-grade high school students.

Abstract

A positive self concept can provide a strong foundation for students to face academic and social challenges, enhance self motivation, and influence their academic achievements. This research focuses on the affective aspect of students, namely self-concept, which has so far received little attention. The objective of this study is to describe the self concept of students in the Elementary Differential Equations course. The population of this study comprises students enrolled in the 2021 batch of the Elementary Differential Equations course, and a sample of 99 individuals was selected using the Slovin's rule. This research used a quantitative descriptive research method. Data were collected through self-concept questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The average self concept score of students is 67.3253 out of the ideal score of 96. (2) There are 23 students who have a high self concept with a percentage of 23.3%, 72 students have a moderate self concept with a percentage of 72.7%, and 4 students have a low self-concept with a percentage of 4%. (3) Based on the self concept indicators, the highest average score was obtained in the indicator "having a sense of responsibility in the Elementary Differential Equations course" with a score of 3.3198 out of the ideal score of 4, while the lowest average score was in the indicator "receiving attention from friends or instructors in the Elementary Differential Equations course" with an average score of 2.040 out of the ideal score of 4.   Self concept yang positif dapat memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan akademik dan sosial, meningkatkan motivasi diri, dan mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mereka. Penelitian ini fokus kepada aspek afektif mahasiswa yaitu self concept yang selama ini masih kurang diperhatikan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan self concept mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial Elementer. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial Elementer angkatan 2021, sampel diambil dengan aturan Slovin sebanyak 99 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan mengumpulkan angket self concept dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil pada penelitian ini diperoleh yakni (1) Rata-rata self concept mahasiswa yaitu 67,3253 dari skor ideal 96. (2) Terdapat 23 mahasiswa yang memperoleh self concept kategori tinggi dengan persentase 23,3%, sebanyak 72 mahasiswa memperoleh self concept kategori sedang dengan persentase 72,7%, dan 4 mahasiswa yang memperoleh self concept kategori rendah dengan persentase 4%. (3) Berdasarkan indikator self concept, pada indikator memiliki rasa tanggung jawab dalam mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial Elementer diperoleh dengan rata-rata tertinggi yaitu skor 3,3198 dari skor ideal yaitu 4, dan rata-rata skor terendah pada indikator memperoleh perhatian dari teman atau dosen pada mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial Elementer dengan rata-rata skor 2,040 dari skor ideal yaitu 4.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menuntut peran aktif matematika dalam berbagai bidang. Namun, matematika sering dianggap abstrak dan tidak langsung terkait dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode etnomatematika menghubungkan budaya dengan matematika dan bisa menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Studi ini berfokus pada eksplorasi etnomatematika dalam upacara tradisional Jawa "Tedhak Siten" di Sumatera Utara. Menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, prosesi dan konsep matematika dalam upacara ini dijabarkan dan dianalisis. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada berbagai aplikasi konsep ilmu matematika seperti menghitung waktu pelaksanaan Tedhak Siten, konsep peluang dalam salah satu tahapannya, dan konsep geometri dalam alat yang digunakan dalam tahapannya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu guru mengajar matematika dengan cara yang lebih kontekstual dan menarik. Siswa juga dapat lebih mudah menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari mereka, memahami relevansi dan kegunaan matematika dalam kehidupan nyata, dan siswa dapat menghargai dan melestarikan budaya bangsa.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan metakognisi siswa kelas X SMA dalam menyelesaikan masalah sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel (SPLTV). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MAN 1 Medan yang berjumlah tiga siswa dimana masing-masing mewakili siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Validitas data diperiksa dengan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi menggunakan metakognisi sadar yaitu perencanaan, pemantauan dan evaluasi dalam memecahkan masalah matematika; siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang menggunakan metakognisi secara sadar, hanya menggunakan perencanaan dan pemantauan dan tidak mengevaluasi saat menyelesaikan masalah matematika; Selanjutnya siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah secara sadar menggunakan metakognisinya hanya menggunakan perencanaan, belum mampu memonitor dan mengevaluasi pada saat menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Kata Kunci:Metakognisi, Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Abstract:This research is a qualitative which aims to describe the metacognition of senior high school students grade X in solving math problems about three-variable system of linear equation. The subjects were students of grade X MAN 1 Medan. They were three students, each representing students with high, medium, and low problem solving abilities. The data was collected through observation and interviews. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was checked by triangulation of sources and triangulation of techniques. The results showed that students with high problem solving abilities used conscious metacognition, namely planning, monitoring and evaluation in solving mathematical problems; students with moderate problem solving abilities are using metacognition consciously, only using plannin and monitoring and not evaluating when solving math problems; Furthermore, students who have low problem solving abilities consciously use their metacogniques only using planning, have not been able to monitor and evaluate at the time of solving mathematical problems.Keywords:Metacognition, Mathematical Problem Solving
