Abstract

The purpose of this study is included: Analyzing the socioeconomic factors that caused thedecrease in livestock farming profits tarp African catfish ponds in the study area; Knowingthe profit rate of African catfish farming pond tarp in the study area, and analyze the level ofefficiency of African catfish pond fish farming sheeting in the area of research both allocativeefficiency technical and economical. Furthermore, to achieve the three objectives referred to,then usedquantitative descriptive method with survey techniques The population in thisstudy were African catfish pond fish farmers in the village tarp Cangkring Jember District ofJenggawah efforts that have experienced a declining rate of profit. The data analysistechnique used is the analysis of Cobb - Douglass function of profit , and the frontierproduction function analysis of profit. The results of this study concluded : 1) socio-economicfactors are thought to influence the profit decline in fish farming catfish pond tarp at the sitesrun significantly at 5 % significance level α with the level of determination of 0,618; 2 ) Theaverage rates of profit breeders catfish in the study site is IDR 1.255.000,85 per businessscale or as much as IDR 484.556,31 per 1,000 fry the profitability of 42.38 %, and 3) averageuse of all inputs in the production of African catfish farming has a pool tarp technicalefficiency of 2,11, at 6,36 allocative efficiency and economic efficiency level of 13,43.

Abstract

In Jember, paddy straw mushroom industry has reached in 17 region consisting 123 farmer. Mainly, it become a main occupation of farmer. So, it shows amount af farmers aremotivated to cultivate paddy straw mushroom with many obstacles and opportunity toincrease maximal income. Indicator of motivation itself is fulfillment of requirement,natural resouces, labour, the available of means production, the goverment attention,revenue, and market demand. The methodology of sampling is by using Cluster Samplingand Incidental Sampling. In methodology of data analysis, researcher uses PATH analysisand FFA analysis by using primer and secondary data. The result of research shows (1)effect of sosial factors to the motivation of paddy straw mushroom farmers affects themotivation. It is include the easy of cultivation factor, capital, available of meansproduction, and market demand. Whereas, the effect of motivation to the income throughproduction factor shows positive correlation to the significance of prodduction factor to theincome. (2) The most dominant and effective factor is the easy of cultivation factor toincrease the income of paddy straw mushroom industry should be carried out by farmer orgovernment. (3) The main obstacle in paddy straw mushroom industry is H3 and H4 factor.The main opportunity of paddy straw mushroom industry is D2 dan D3 factor. (4) Strategyto increase the income of paddy straw mushroom industry in Jember is by giving the softbureaucracy to gain investment credit through APJMJ, goverment or farmer associated inAPJMJ should increase APJMJ member, and develop the available of means production byincreasing provider unit in achievable place.
