Abstract

Peningkatan produktivitas padi dapat melalui berbagai cara. Salah satunya adalah dengan mengenalkan teknologi sistem tanam jajar legowo. Jajar legowo merupakan sistem tanam padi yang dikembangkan dengan mengubah jarak tanam yang terbukti dibandingkan dengan sistem tanam tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat adopsi tanam jajar legowo terhadap petani padi di Pulau Bawean dan mengetahui faktor- faktor mempengaruhi adopsi sistem jajar legowo terhadap petani padi di Pulau Bawean. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Bululanjang, Desa Balik terus di Kecamatan Sangkapura serta Desa Kelompanggubug, Desa Sukaoneng di Kecamatan Tambak dengan pertimbangan keempat desa tersebut mempunyai produksi padi tertinggi di Pulau Bawean. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini yaitu 60 petani. Analisis yang digunakan untuk pada penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan skala likert dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas tingkat adopsi petani berada pada tingkatan tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 71,67% yang menunjukkan petani padi  dapat mengadopsi sistem jajar legowo dengan baik. Adapun faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat adopsi petani padi di Pulau Bawean yaitu luas lahan dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan penyuluhan, sedangkan faktor yang tidak berpengaruh adalah usia, tingkat pendidikan dan pengalaman berusahatani.

Abstract

Garam di Indonesia pada umumnya dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi dan industri. Kebutuhan garam nasional tahun 2020 mencapai 4.464.670 ton, sedangkan produksi garam tahun 2020 sebanyak 2.327.078 ton sehingga terjadi kesenjangan antara jumlah produksi dengan kebutuhan sebanyak 2.137.592 ton. Kelangkaan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan impor dari beberapa negara sebanyak 3,07 juta ton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat risiko dan mengidentifikasi risiko pada usahatani garam rakyat di Kecamatan Kalianget, Kabupaten Sumenep. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Karanganyar, Desa Kertasada, dan Desa Pinggir Papas, Kecamatan Kalianget, Kabupaten Sumenep. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 petani yang ditentukan secara purposive. Data dianalisis dengan metode perhitungan koefisien variasi (CV), metode Kountur (2006), dan analisis IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat risiko pendapatan termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Sumber risiko di lokasi penelitian antara lain terkait dengan harga jual garam, kebijakan pemerintah, saluran pemasaran, kualitas sumber daya manusia, ketersediaan modal, angin dan suhu, serta curah hujan.

Abstract

This research aims at knowing the factors causing poverty in research area, knowing livelihood strategy by poor households and constructing sustainable livelihood strategy based on the real condition in community. This research is conducted in Kwanyar village, Kwanyar subdistrict of Bangkalan Regency. Data were collected with PRA, FGD method and participative observation involving poor households in research area. Data were analysed with descriptive qualitative method. The result shows that poverty is caused by lack of access to capital, particularly financial capital. This becomes a matter in which fishermen cannot access physical capital as modern catching technology. Livelihood strategy which is conducted by poor household of fishermen consists of economic and social strategies. Economic strategy is conducted with double livelihood pattern, utilizing households worker and migration. Otherwise, social strategy is perfomed with kinship pattern. Traditional welfare organization has also important role for poor households in fulfilling daily needs. In addition, social capital also contributes significantly for livelihood strategy in that area and it becomes one of attentions in arranging sustainable livelihood strategy.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, (1) menganalisis minat peternak, dan (2) menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi minat peternak dalam mengembangkan ternak. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Pademawu Timur, Kecamatan Pademawu, Kabupaten Pamekasan. Jumlah responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 peternak yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Minat peternak dianalisis menggunakan skala Likert yang dilihat dari indikator perasaan senang, perhatian, kesadaran dan kemauan. Analisis faktor yang mempengaruhi minat peternak dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat minat peternak tergolong dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda didapatkan bahwa pengalaman berpengaruh positif terhadap minat peternak, sedangkan tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh negatif terhadap minat peternak.

Abstract

Cattle farming has been considered necessary in community life. The marketing of cattle in Dempo Barat Village, Pasean District, Pamekasan Regency is still mostly done through mediators, which means the price obtained by farmers is not optimal. The aim of this research is to analyze the market structure of Madura Cattle in West Dempo Village. The method of analysis in this research is descriptive and quantitative. The market structure is analyzed by explaining the number of market participants, barriers to market entry, and market information. The market structure is analyzed using a market concentration approach by measuring market share, HHI (Hirschman Herfindahl Index), and CR4 (Concentration Ratio for the Biggest Four). Based on the research results, the market structure of Madura Cattle in West Dempo Village leads to an oligopoly market with loose concentration. Farmers are advised to sell cattle directly to traders in the market to increase revenue. To help farmers get better deals, the government needs to make rules about how marketing institutions work.

Abstract

Madura island is one area that has potential in the farm sector. Madura cattle are classified into three categories: beef cattle, sonok cattle, and karapan cattle. The high cost of raising sonok cattle is an obstacle for farmers with middle and lower-middle financial conditions. This can be considered to affect the perception of farmers about raising sonok cattle. The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of farmers on the maintenance of sonok cattle and the factors that influence it. The research was conducted in Waru Barat Village, Waru District, Pamekasan Regency. The study was conducted from October to November 2021. The respondents in this study were 30 sonok cattle breeders, considering that the number was already considered representative. The snowball sampling technique determined the determination of respondents. The data were descriptively analyzed using a Likert scale before moving on to multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that 90% of farmers have a productive age with a low level of education, as much as 94%, experience > 20 years as much as 57%, and income below the East Java Poverty Line Index (IGK). The perception of farmers is classified as moderate (70%). Farmers' ideas about raising sonok cattle are affected by their level of education and experience.

Abstract

Cultural products have characteristics that cannot be explained by neo classical economic theory like other functional products. The price of cultural goods is not only determined by economic activity and the resources used but also by social values. The sonok cattle is a cultural item that is unique compared to other cultural goods. This uniqueness is an attraction for study compared to other cultural goods. This study aims to determine the non-economic factors that affect the price of sonok cattle in Madura. The research was conducted in the Sonok cattle development area in the Pamekasan Regency area. Primary data were collected using structured interviews toward 43 respondents who had bought sonok cattle in the last two years and one key informant, namely the head of the sonok cattle association. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis showed that price had a positive effect toward the reputation of sonok cattle and the social status expected by buyers. Sonok cattle that have a high reputation based on the number of contest champion statuses, the higher the price of the cow. The implication of the research results for sonok cattle owners is to increase participation in contests to increase the chances of obtaining champion status so that the cows have a high reputation which will ultimately increase prices.

Abstract

Besarnya produktivitas dan konsumsi ikan lele belum memperlihatkan mekanisme pemasaran yang efisien, terutama apabila jika dilihat dari keuntungan yang diterima oleh pembudidaya. Keberhasilan pada pemasaran ikan lele ini menjadi fokus utama bagi pembudidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keuntungan lembaga pemasaran pada setiap saluran pemasaran. Permasalahan yang ditemui pada usaha budidaya ikan lele antara lain ialah produksi di pembudidaya meningkat setiap panennya tapi keuntungan yang diperoleh masih rendah. Metode penelitian digunakan untuk melihat efisiensi pemasaran menggunakan analisis margin pemasaran, nilai efisiensi serta farmer share.

Abstract

During the dry season, breeders face a challenge due to a lack of forage feed. Jambu Village has the second-largest agricultural land area in Lenteng District, which equals 95.67% of the total land area. This land area will produce agricultural waste products. Jambu Village has tofu, and the tempeh agro-industry in the production process produces waste. Agricultural and agro-industrial waste can be used as a source of beef cattle feed. This research aims to 1) know the potential and characteristics of cattle and 2) know the potential of agricultural and agro-industrial waste as a source of feed in the development of cattle in Jambu Village. The characteristics of cattle are described descriptively, while potential agricultural and agro-industrial waste is analyzed based on production and carrying capacity using the conversion formula. As a result of the cattle reared by Madura cattle and intensive rearing patterns, Jambu Village has a livestock population of 402 heads. Agricultural and agro-industrial waste in Jambu Village is capable of producing dry matter of 480,831.65 kg/year and can accommodate and provide animal feed based on dry matter of 210.78 animal unit (AU). Further research regarding the carrying capacity of forage feed needs to be carried out to determine its carrying capacity as animal feed in Jambu Village.

Abstract

Abon Daging Sapi Bu Sarti adalah usaha abon legendaris yang berdiri sejak 1995 di Jln. Patmosusastro atau yang dikenal dengan “Kampung Abon Patmosusatro”. Semakin bertambahnya tahun, pemasaran Abon Daging Sapi Bu Sarti semakin menurun karena meningkatnya persaingan antar industri abon sapi. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan faktor internal pemasaran, merumuskan  faktor eksternal pemasaran dan merumuskan prioritas alternatif strategi pemasaran. Sampling dilaksanakan secara sengaja (purposive sampling) dengan metode penelitian SWOT dan QSPM. Berdasarkan matriks IE posisi usaha berada pada sel V (hold and maintain) dengan strategi penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk. Prioritas strategi yang dapat diimplementasikan pada Abon Daging Sapi Bu Sarti yaitu pertama membangun citra merek melalui personal selling, direct marketing, dan promosi online, kedua meningkatkan strategi bersaing dengan pengembangan variasi jenis abon, kemasan dan ukuran produk, serta strategi ketiga yaitu memperluas jaringan pemasaran melalui marketplace, kerjasama dengan reseller dan toko oleh-oleh.
