Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan majalah sebagai bahan ajar biologi pada materi reproduksi di Sekolah menegah Atas. Pengembangan majalah menggunakan model ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Subjek yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen ahli sebagai validator, guru dan siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Pengabuan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar validasi, angket, dan soal pemahaman konsep siswa yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap majalah yang dikembangkan. Kelayakan berdasarkan atas pendapat validator, guru, dan angket respon siswa. Pemahaman konsep didasarkan atas jawaban skor rata-rata siswa dari soal yang diberikan. Hasil uji kelayakan oleh 3 orang ahli (media, materi dan bahasa) sebesar 98,89% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil data tanggapan guru sebesar 78,85% dengan kriteria layak. Hasil data tanggapan siswa sebesar 80% dengan kriteria layak. Hasil uji pemahaman konsep siswa yang berjumlah 21 orang siswa dirata-ratakan sebesar 85,58% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar biologi berbentuk majalah berbasis pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi reproduksi, disimpulkan dalam kriteria layak digunakan dan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi reproduksi dikategorikan sangat tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Integrated Science subject class VIII A, Al-Hidayah Tanjung Jabung Timur by using a Role Playing learning model with a KKM of 75%, the formulation of the problem that researchers take according to the title is What is the effectiveness of the learning model Role Playing, to improve student learning outcomes in integrated science subjects. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at MTs Al-Hidayah Tanjung Jabung Timur in 2022/2023 with research subjects from class VIII A students, 13 students. This research was divided into two cycles, cycle I consisted of two meetings and cycle II consisted of two meetings. The stages of each cycle consisted of planning/observation and reflection. Data collection instruments used were tests, observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively with a KKM of 75%. The results showed that the application of Role Playing models can improve student learning outcomes. seen from the first cycle shows the percentage value of student success of 53.8%. And in cycle II it shows results with a value of 84.62%. This shows that applying the Role Playing learning model can improve learning outcomes, as evidenced by the results of this study in cycles I and II. With this, the researchers suggest that teachers can apply the Role Playing learning model in the Integrated Science learning process at MTs Al Hidayah Tanjung Jabung Timur. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis persentase ketercapaian proses sains mahasiswa Tadris Biologi dalam pembelajaran berbasis praktikum mata kuliah biologi umum. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini menggunakan pre-ekperimental desain dengan subjek 22 mahasiswa Tadris Biologi kelas Ib Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji validitas dan reliabilitas, dengan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket dan pedoman observasi keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian menggunakan sepuluh indikator keterampilan proses sains: observasi, klasifikasi, interpretasi, prediksi, menanyakan percobaan, membuat hipotesis, merencanakan hipotesis, menggunakan alat dan bahan, menerapkan konsep dan komunikasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pada hasil angket diperoleh 68.50% yang terdiri dari observasi sebesar 81.25% sangat tinggi, klasifikasi 83.60% sangat tinggi, interpretasi 82.87% sangat tinggi, prediksi 71.62% tinggi, mengajukan pertanyaan 71.45% tinggi, berhipotesis 73.75% tinggi, merencanakan percobaan 77.35% tinggi, menggunakan alat dan bahan 80.40% tinggi, menerapkan konsep 81.37% sangat tinggi, dan mengkomunikasikan 81.37% tinggi. Persentase keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pada hasil observasi langsung diperoleh 77.96%, keduanya berkategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa Tadris Biologi pada pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dikategorikan tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan dalam penerapan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus or diabetes is a health disorder in the form of a collection of symptoms that arise in a person caused by increased blood sugar leves due to insulin deficiency or insulin resistance and metabolic disorders in general. Red bete leaves contain chemical compounds of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and saponins which can lower blood sugar leves. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of red bete leaf extract suspension (Piper crocatum) as antihyperglycemia in male white rats (Rattus novergicus) induced by alloxan. This research method is experimental. The extraction process for red bete leaves uses 70% ethanol solvent using the maceration method, then concentrated using a rotary evaporator and thickened using a water bath, then a suspension preparation is made, the doses given to male white rats are 2%, 4% and 6%. Glibenclamide suspension as a positive control and suspending agent as a negative control. The effectiveness of the red bete leaf extract suspension was seen from the reduction in blood sugar leves in mice after being induced by alloxan. The research data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA and paired sample t-test. The resuts of the study showed that red bete leaf extract suspension was effective as an antihyperglycemia, where the most effective dose was 6%. The suspension preparation of red bete leaf extract meets the requirements for evaluation of the preparation and stability of the preparation.

Abstract

This paper presents a research study that explores how to improve student's learning outcomes by implementing the Group Inquiry-Based Learning Model while making use of the school's surrounding environment in the context of biology learning for grade X science students at Madrasah Aliyah Darud Da'wah Wal-Irsyad Kijang Island. This research adopts the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, with data analysis conducted through descriptive analysis. The research findings reveal that implementing the Group Inquiry-Based Learning Model through the utilization of the school's surrounding environment effectively enhances the biology learning outcomes of grade X science students at Madrasah Aliyah Darud Da'wah Wal-Irsyad Pulau Kijang. This improvement is evident in the assessment results across four cycles: pre-cycle, cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. In the pre-cycle, the research shows an average student learning score of 63.88, with only 8 students or 30% achieving mastery. During cycle I, the average student learning score increases to 70.37, with 12 students, or 44% reaching mastery. In cycle II, the average student learning score further rises to 75.18, with 17 students or 63% achieving mastery. Finally, in cycle III, the average student learning score reaches 81.85, with 23 students or 85% reaching mastery. The research is terminated after cycle III as the learning outcomes meet the mastery criteria. These results collectively demonstrate a consistent improvement in students' learning outcomes, with an overall increase of 55% from the pre-cycle to cycle III.

Abstract

Background: Minyak jelantah merupakan salah satu limbah rumah tangga yang sering kali diabaikan dampaknya terhadap lingkungan. Pengelolaan yang tidak tepat berpotensi besar mencemari lingkungan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi warga Desa Muaro Pijoan tentang potensi pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menjadi produk bernilai guna, seperti sabun, serta meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemampuan berwirausaha mereka. Metode: Sosialisasi dan pelatihan dilakukan di Desa Muaro Pijoan, peserta berjumlah 29 ibu rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari penyuluhan, praktek pembuatan sabun, dan evaluasi. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan keterampilan pembuatan sabun dari minyak jelantah, dengan peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan respon positif. Kegiatan ini berpotensi memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat, khususnya para ibu, dengan memberikan mereka sumber penghasilan tambahan melalui produksi dan penjualan sabun. Selain itu, sosialisasi ini meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan limbah sehingga dapat mengurangi pencemaran. Kesimpulan: Program ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengurangan limbah rumah tangga dan pencemaran lingkungan, serta meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat melalui usaha kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Pelatihan ini juga memberi kesempatan bagi peserta untuk mengembangkan keterampilan baru seperti teknik produksi skala kecil.

Abstract

This study is to investigate the feeding and washing habits of swamp buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis carabanesis) in Teluk Kayu Putih Village, VII Koto District, Tebo Regency. This study was carried out from July to October 2023, involving a sample of 5 buffalo. The sample included adult male and female buffalo, as well as immature male and female buffalo (referred to as "girl"), and male calves. This study employs the One Zero technique, utilizing 10-minute intervals, conducted between 06:00 and 16:00 WIB. The research findings indicated that adult female buffalo exhibited the most feeding activity, specifically 16.36 times, whereas male buffalo calves shown the lowest feeding activity, specifically 9.00 times. The frequency of rumination, a type of ruminant behavior, was highest in young males at a rate of 7.42 times, whereas young female buffalo exhibited the lowest frequency of rumination at 5.93 times. The study revealed that adult male buffalo engage in wallowing activity more frequently than any other group, with an average of three times per day. In contrast, cub males engage in wallowing behavior just once per day, which is the lowest frequency seen. The average duration of wallowing was determined to be 37.33 minutes.

Abstract

Katalog merupakan suatu daftar yang terurut yang berisi informasi tertentu dari benda atau barang, katalog berfungsi sebagai sarana menyampaikan informasi atau menemukan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan yang ada dilingkungan kampus Mendalo UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi yang dapat diakses menggunakan mobile learning audio berbasis quick response (qr)-code sehingga dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh mahasiswa untuk pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Agustus sampai Oktober 2024. Metode penelitian adalah pengembangan atau Research and Development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE. Model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di lingkungan kampus UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi telah teridentifikasi 2 kelas, 17 bangsa, 25 suku, 40 jenis tumbuhan. Katalog tumbuhan disematkan qr-code yang di-scan menggunakan mobile learning audio yang akan menampilkan informasi tumbuhan. Katalog yang dibuat telah divalidasi berdasarkan perhitungan Research and Development didapatkan hasil validasi ahli media dengan persentase 86,5% sangat valid, validasi ahli materi dengan persentase 90% sangat valid, validasi dosen pengampu 86,42% sangat valid. Uji keterbacaan media 95,33% sangat layak, sehingga dapat produk mudah digunakan. Hasil penelitian digunakan pada mata kuliah Taksonomi Tumbuhan menyajikan data mengenai jenis tumbuhan, klasifikasi dan morfologi serta manfaat tumbuhan. Hasil validasi katalog tumbuhan menunjukkan hasil yang berada pada kategori sangat layak untuk digunakan.
