Abstract

In the 21st century, digital technology plays an increasingly crucial role in student motivation. The utilization of digital technology not only facilitates the rapid acquisition of information but also enhances life skills, thereby simplifying the process for educators to create learning materials. This research adopts a whole group pre-experimental design model, with the student population and sample drawn from classes IX-A and IX-D at SMPN 1 Singosari. Class IX-A serves as the experimental group, while class IX-D functions as the control group. Data collection employs triangulation techniques, encompassing observation, interviews, and documentation, complemented by an instrument test utilizing short story material. Subsequent analysis of the test results employs descriptive quantitative methods, involving a comparative assessment to draw conclusions regarding the effectiveness of Quizizz media as an evaluation tool for short story text material.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of learning styles in implementing differentiated learning for Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Singosari. Grounded in inclusive education principles, it emphasizes accommodating diverse learning styles identified by the VARK (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic) model by Neil Fleming. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the study involved 36 students and one Indonesian teacher, with data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Findings reveal that most students prefer visual and auditory learning styles, favoring visual media such as videos and concept map assignments. Differentiated learning implementation effectively addresses individual needs, enhancing engagement and academic outcomes. Furthermore, the study underscores the critical role of collaboration among teachers, parents, and the community in fostering an inclusive learning environment. These insights significantly contribute to understanding the application of learning style integration in Indonesian language education at the secondary school level.

Abstract

The ability of students to comprehend hikayat texts remains a challenge due to the linguistic complexity of hikayat, which incorporates both standard Malay and archaic forms. This study aims to address the question of an effective learning model that can provide optimal solutions for the students of class XE-7 at MAN 2 Malang City. Using a qualitative approach, the research employed interviews with teachers to identify learning-related problems, classroom observations to examine the learning environment, and documentation as evidence for the learning process and outcomes. Data collection included questionnaires to evaluate students’ experiences during the learning process and their comprehension of hikayat texts. The findings revealed that contextual learning methods significantly enhanced students' ability to understand and engage with hikayat texts. The students demonstrated strong performance in answering questions related to the material and reported that contextual learning made lessons more comprehensible and engaging. These results suggest that incorporating contextual learning strategies can improve student comprehension and learning outcomes in studying hikayat texts.

Abstract

Learning methods certainly have a great influence on students' learning motivation in mastering certain competencies, one of which is the competence of writing poetry in grade VIII junior high school students. This study aims to find out the method of observation learning in learning to write poetry on the learning motivation of grade VIII students at SMPN 20 Malang. The data source used is grade VIII students of SMPN 20 Malang. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with qualitative research methods. The data collection method was carried out by observation and interviews. Data analysis is carried out by identifying, analyzing, and inferring data. The results of this study are in the form of a description of the analysis of observation learning methods in learning to write poetry on the learning motivation of grade VIII students at SMPN 20 Malang.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a state in which an individual exhibits a desire to achieve learning objectives. This study aims to explore the application of contextual teaching models in fostering student motivation, identify strategies used to motivate students, and analyze efforts to enhance learning motivation. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a mixed approach, emphasizing the natural environment as its context. Data collection involved interviews with Mrs. Dini and 7B class students to gather qualitative insights. Findings reveal that educators and schools play a crucial role in enhancing both internal and external motivation. Efforts such as creating supportive environments for extracurricular activities, accommodating active student assessments, and providing intensive guidance significantly contribute to student commitment toward their personal development. Strong learning motivation, whether derived from internal or external sources, positively influences academic performance and prepares students to tackle real-world challenges effectively. These results emphasize the need for a holistic approach in integrating motivational strategies within educational frameworks.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal (i) what factors cause students' learning motivation to be difficult to increase in learning to write poetry; (ii) what solutions are offered to increase students' learning motivation in learning to write poetry; and (iii) whether the nature learning method is effectively applied to increase students' learning motivation in learning to write poetry. This study was conducted in class VII-D of SMP Brawijaya Smart School, totaling 32 students, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used is experimental research with a mixed approach. The data analysis technique was carried out through two stages, namely on the results of interviews and observations, as well as on the results of measurements through questionnaires. The results showed that there are several factors that make student motivation difficult to increase in learning to write poetry. First, the lack of preparation from the teacher. Second, teachers tend to be monotonous when teaching in class. Based on these problems, the solution offered by the teacher is to use LKPD (Learner Activity Sheet). Next, teachers design interesting learning strategies. Teachers can use digital media in which there are games or quizzes. The application of the nature learning method in learning to write poetry for students of class VII-D of SMP Brawijaya Smart School is effective. This is shown through the data of the percentage of the effectiveness of this method at 64.3%. Then, students of class VII-D SMP Brawijaya Smart School feel motivated when learning outside the classroom with a percentage of 64.3%. Next, students felt happy with the implementation of the nature learning method, with a percentage of 57.1%. In addition, students of class VII-D SMP Brawijaya Smart School felt very helped and helped by the application of the nature learning method to develop their creative ideas. The percentage data shows that students feel very helped and helped by the application of the nature learning method, which is at 35.7%.

Abstract

The development of technology has become a very important thing in the course of life. Nowadays, we have entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, which is a technological development marked by the massive advancement of the internet. The rapid development of technology has given birth to various innovations in learning, one of which is the integration of technology in the teaching and learning process. SMKS Telkom Sandhy Putra as one of the vocational schools that focuses on the field of information technology. This study aims to determine the role of technology in improving the programming learning experience at SMKS Telkom Shandy Putra. Through a qualitative and descriptive approach, this study explores the effectiveness and motivation of student learning with the use of technology in learning. The data obtained from this study are primary data in the form of in-depth interviews with students and teachers, as well as direct observation of the learning process. Then, the technique used in the study is to use qualitative data analysis techniques. According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of technology in programming learning at SMKS Telkom Sandhy Putra has proven effective in improving students' understanding of the basic concepts of programming.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui potensi gangguan kesehatan mental siswa dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya potensi gangguan kesehatan mental siswa dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Narasumber penelitian ini berasal dari tujuh siswa dari berbagai tingkat kelas pada salah satu sekolah jenjang SMA di Jawa Timur yaitu MS (XII), TF (XII, IF (XII), IA (XI), FA (XI), SR (X), dan TN (X). Berdasarkan hasil analisis model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa PJJ memicu potensi gangguan kesehatan mental siswa yaitu stres, cemas, kesal, intermittent eksplosive disorder, dan panik. Hal tersebut, disebabkan oleh enam faktor yang didominasi oleh faktor terlalu lama menatap laptop, kurangnya interaksi dengan teman sebaya, dan rasa bosan yang mendominasi. Implementasi psikologi pendidikan oleh guru dalam proses belajar mengajar menjadi penting, karena dapat mengatasi gangguan kesehatan mental siswa dalam PJJ.

Abstract

Comparative Analysis of Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes Based on the Independent Curriculum in Online and Offline Learning. This study aims to describe the comparison of the learning outcomes of Indonesian language based on the independent curriculum on brave and attractive learning for class X students majoring in Computer Network Engineering  at SMK Negeri 11 Malang. This study is both research and quantitative. Data was collected using a learning achievement test and then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students with the offline learning system were superior to those of students with the online learning system.

Abstract

Tourist spots in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency need to be introduced to tourists. One tourism promotion strategy can be implemented by providing directional signage and information boards for these tourist locations. The signage and information boards are designed with high artistic quality and highlight the local characteristics and unique features of the tourist spots. This community service initiative is carried out with three objectives: (1) to document tourist spots, including archaeological sites, natural attractions, and traditional craft villages, as part of landscape planning efforts to integrate information; (2) to design directional signage and informational texts with artistic flair and local characteristics of the tourist spots; (3) to create and install these directional and informational signs in strategic locations within the tourist spot areas. The installation of these directional signs and information boards is expected to support tourism promotion efforts in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency. This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with the Malang Regency Tourism Office, the Malang Regency Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Office, the Toyomarto Village Government, the Tourism Working Group, and micro-industry stakeholders. The results of the community service initiative indicate that there are seven key locations required for Phase I, specifically in the Pentungan Sari Tourism Area. These signs are focused on the following spots: gate (1 signboard), hall (2 signboards), swimming pool (2 signboards), toilet (1 signboard), café (1 signboard), and therapeutic fish pond (1 signboard).
