Abstract

Konflik politik yang berkepanjangan telah memicu perdebatan luas di media sosial, memengaruhi dinamika hubungan antarindividu. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori penetrasi sosial yang dikembangkan oleh Altman dan Taylor untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana hubungan interpersonal berkembang dari komunikasi dangkal menuju keintiman, serta peran penting keterbukaan diri (self-disclosure) dalam proses ini. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan pandangan politik dapat menyebabkan konflik dalam hubungan, berpotensi mengarah pada depenetrasi atau penurunan keintiman. Melalui tinjauan literatur yang sistematis, penelitian ini menetapkan kriteria pemilihan sumber dari jurnal terakreditasi dan analisis konten di media sosial, dengan fokus pada pengaruh ideologi politik terhadap keputusan individu dalam mempertahankan atau mengakhiri hubungan romantis. Hasilnya mengindikasikan bahwa sikap politik merupakan faktor krusial yang memengaruhi keberlangsungan hubungan. Untuk menjembatani konflik yang muncul akibat perbedaan pandangan politik, keterampilan komunikasi yang efektif dan kemampuan untuk berkompromi sangat diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi individu untuk memahami peran sikap politik dalam hubungan interpersonal dan mengembangkan strategi komunikasi yang efektif untuk mengatasi potensi konflik. Dengan demikian, hubungan interpersonal dapat dipertahankan dan diperkuat meskipun terdapat perbedaan pandangan politik yang signifikan.

Abstract

The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia uses a website to disseminate news and publications to the public. An effective strategy for developing a successful website is to build a positive user experience that leads to a positive attitude from users towards the website. User experience in terms of optimizing website utilization has not been well explored, especially regarding satisfaction. Satisfaction is influenced by information quality and system quality factors. Information quality encompasses 5 variables (completeness, accuracy, format, currency, availability) and system quality consists of nine variables (reliability, flexibility, accessibility, responsiveness, integration, usability, functionality, design appeal, efficiency). This study assessed the effect of information quality and system quality on the satisfaction of using the Ministry of Religious Affairs' website. The target population of this study were all users who had accessed the website at least once in the last three months. The data were collected from 420 respondents and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings indicated that the hypothesis of the variables completeness, accuracy, format, currency, availability, reliability, flexibility, accessibility, responsiveness, integration, usability, and functionality is not supported. However, the results of this research confirmed the positive and significant effect of design appeal and efficiency on satisfaction.

Abstract

Developments in digital transformation and information technology have led to the transformation of society into an information society. The government needs to leverage government social media, which utilizes information and communication technologies (ICT), to disseminate effective, affordable, and up-to-date public information to the public. As a result, the purpose of this research is to explore the use of government social media as an information source. A survey of 263 respondents was collected through questionnaires. The research analysis employed in this study was descriptive statistics. The findings illustrate that Instagram is the most frequently used social media platform by citizens to search for public information. It was found that in the last four years, the number of new followers on the government's Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts has increased, with most of the new followers coming in the last 1-2 years. Most respondents who follow the government's Instagram and Twitter mentioned general information and education/scholarship information as their reasons for following. The government's Facebook followers mostly chose general and health/pandemic information. Meanwhile, government YouTube followers do so for education/scholarship information and health/pandemic information.

Abstract

Dalam menyelenggarakan festival musik, diperlukan komunikasi yang menarik dan interaktif antara penyelenggara dan pengunjung festival musik sehingga banyak orang tertarik dan menikmati informasi yang disediakan. Seiring perkembangan zaman dan kemajuan teknologi, komunikasi dan informasi dapat disebarkan melalui media digital. Pekan Gembira Ria Festival merupakan salah satu festival yang menggunakan media komunikasi digital untuk memberikan informasi dan berinteraksi dengan pengunjung potensial. Pekan Gembira Ria adalah festival yang memiliki konsep seperti pasar malam di mana tidak hanya menyajikan konser musik tetapi juga menyediakan permainan, wisata kuliner, foto spot, dan pertunjukan seni jalanan. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang peran media komunikasi digital dan menjelaskan pengalaman festival, dari informasi, tanggapan emosional, dan komunitas hingga pengalaman pengunjung festival Happy Week Ria. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi media digital memiliki peran yang berfungsi untuk memberi, mengumpulkan, dan menerima informasi yang berkaitan dengan respon emosional, yaitu sukacita dan kegembiraan yang dapat membangun pengalaman di festival musik atau rasa antisipasi dan kecemasan jika informasi yang diperoleh tidak memuaskan. Dalam keterlibatannya dalam komunikasi media digital, dua dari tiga konsep yang ada saling terkait dan berkontribusi pada pengalaman festival Pekanbaru Gembira Ria.

Abstract

Per Oktober 2022, tercatat 15,5 juta remaja Indonesia memiliki masalah kesehatan mental. Sayangnya, sebagian besar masyarakat cenderung mengabaikan dan menganggap masalah mental tidak lebih penting jika dibandingkan dengan kesehatan fisik. Perlu dibangun narasi yang baik agar setiap orang memberikan perhatian lebih pada masalah kesehatan mental dirinya dan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Teori Narasi dan Kesehatan pada Pendidikan Hiburan Serial “Daily Dose of Sunshine” yang tayang di Netflix. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada banyak adegan dalam serial ini yang menunjukkan fungsi teori narasi dalam kesehatan, yaitu proses pembuatan makna, sarana untuk menegaskan kendali, mentransformasikan identitas, mendukung keputusan dengan menunjukkan pilihan dan rasionalisasi tertentu, membangun komunitas dan membantu memanusiakan layanan kesehatan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu untuk membuat orang-orang lebih peduli dengan kesehatan mentalnya dan orang-orang di sekitarnya.

Abstract

Technological advancements have significantly transformed the healthcare sector, with telemedicine emerging as a key innovation that integrates healthcare services with the communication industry. Telemedicine, defined as the use of electronic communication to deliver healthcare remotely, offers notable benefits such as expanded access to services, cost efficiency, and enhanced quality of care. These advantages are particularly relevant in Indonesia, where geographical challenges and uneven population distribution often limit healthcare accessibility. The COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated telemedicine adoption globally and nationally, underscoring its critical role in ensuring service continuity during health crises. This study aims to analyze the development, challenges, opportunities, and future trends of telemedicine in relation to the communication industry. Employing a systematic literature review method, the research synthesizes findings from English-language journal articles indexed in Scopus to provide an evidence-based overview of telemedicine’s trajectory. The findings reveal that while telemedicine has improved access and efficiency, its implementation in Indonesia still faces barriers such as digital infrastructure limitations, regulatory gaps, and digital literacy disparities. Opportunities exist in strengthening policy frameworks, expanding broadband access, and fostering cross-sector collaborations between healthcare and communication industries. The study contributes to both healthcare and communication fields by highlighting telemedicine as a convergence point that requires integrated governance and innovation. The implications suggest that sustainable telemedicine development will depend on addressing structural barriers while leveraging technological growth to enhance equitable healthcare delivery in Indonesia.

Abstract

Setiap kehidupan selalu bersinggungan dengan internet, termasuk fase duka cita. Seseorang yang telah ditinggalkan selamanya oleh orang tersayang maka memiliki sifat kedukaan telah berpindah ke media online dengan berbagai cara dan beberapa aspek kematian seperti duka daring di media sosial. Media sosial merupakan platform melalui jaringan internet yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat profil berbagi konten digital yang dibuat dalam bentuk teks, foto, grafik, atau video dalam komunitas pengguna jaringan yang dapat merespons konten tersebut. Media sosial menjadi perantara berkabung bagi pengguna yang terpisah ruang dan jarak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeksripsikan persepsi terhadap informasi duka yang beredar di media sosial.  Kedukaan yang menjadi fokus pada penelitian ini yaitu artis Kpop dari Korea Selatan bernama Choi Jin Ri atau Sulli mantan personil girl band F(x). Sulli meninggal karena kasus bunuh diri akibat perundungungan yang dialami di media sosial seperti hujatan, hinaan, bahkan berkomentar negatif (trolling). Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigm konstruktivisme dan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memahami fenomena berkabung pada media sosial. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara tiga orang remaja yang mengetahui kasus tersebut. Setelah koding kualitatif pada transkrip wawancara, didapatkan tiga temuan utama. Pertama, berita dukacita di Instagram menjadi popular, viral dan booming. Kedua, warganet merasakan emosional ketika melihat informasi tersebut di Instagram. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of therapeutic communication in increasing pregnant women's trust in antenatal care (ANC) services at Patut Patuh Patju Hospital, West Lombok Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed that therapeutic communication of medical personnel was carried out using simple language, empathetic attitudes, two-way communication, friendly approaches, and emotional support. These factors have been shown to be effective in creating comfort, reducing anxiety, and strengthening the active involvement of pregnant women in health checkups. In addition, support from family, peer groups, and sensitivity to local culture also strengthened pregnant women's trust in medical services. This study confirms that therapeutic communication is not only a medium for delivering medical information but also an important strategy in building a relationship of mutual trust that contributes to the compliance of pregnant women undergoing ANC examinations. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for health workers and policymakers in improving the quality of antenatal services based on empathic communication, trust, and social support.

Abstract

Social media live shopping has grown rapidly and become common in Indonesian e-commerce since 2020. The development of live and real-time interactions between streamers and audiences establishes trans-parasocial relationships. The relationship is an extension of the parasocial concept, where this seemingly reciprocal relationship occurs between streamers and their audience. This study aims to explore the processes and patterns of forming trans-parasocial relationships between streamers and audiences during TikTok Shop live shopping sessions in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative method with a netnography study conducted during TikTok Shop live session and post-session comments on X/Twitter. The data include verbal statements from the streamers and audiences on the chat sections, as well as the audience’s posts with keywords related to streamers on platform X/Twitter. Based on data categorization analysis, this study identifies five aspects of the formation of trans-parasocial relationships; (1) building proximity, (2) engaging in self-disclosure, (3) addressing personal acquaintances, (2) receiving audiences’ responses, and (5) creating a reciprocal interaction. The proximity between streamers and audiences can be virtually built by both parties by incorporating conversations about topics rather than products during live sessions. The formation of trans-parasocial relationships leads the audience to keep watching TikTok live shopping and could become a strategic online marketing communication method.

Abstract

Personal branding is a crucial aspect of communication, particularly in social media. Someone who can influence others, usually referred to as an influencer, must have positive personal branding from the public perspective. An influencer can come from various industries besides entertainment, including politics and lifestyle. The research was conducted to examine personal branding as displayed by Maria Rahajeng and Tsamara Amany through their Instagram personal account, @tsamaradki, and @mariarahajeng, and to describe the alignment of their personal branding with the eight main concepts of Montoya's concepts. This study employed a postpositivist qualitative research methodology that focused on the personal branding phenomenon formed by the two influencers. This study uses eight main concepts of personal branding Montoya in analyzing content posted by the two influencers. Data was gathered from the influencer’s accounts through feeds, Instagram stories, reels, and comment features. Research results show that the personal branding displayed by Maria Rahajeng and Tsamara Amany differs according to the context of their work, where the two influencers show their respective advantages. Both influencers possess contrasting abilities in various aspects of Montoya’s eight main concepts in personal branding, setting them apart from one another.
