Abstract

Galunggung mountain tourism spot is one of the natural tourism objects in Tasikmalaya regency possessing high biodiversity of living things, notably moss. The well-preserved environmental conditions in the area of Galunggung mountain enable the moss to grow luxuriantly and has miscellaneous varieties. This study aimed at identifying the moss living in around Galunggung mountain, Tasikmalaya. It was conducted on November 2017 through descriptive exploratory method with survey technique. The data were analysed descriptively by collecting specimens of the moss discovered in each observing station. The observing locations were situated in three different locations (stations) based on hierarchical height levels. Based on the identification, the moss proliferating in Galunggung mountain were classified into 20 species. The moss species dominantly identified in the entire observing stations were Bryum billardierii, Acroporium sp., Leucobryum sp., Marchantia polymorpha, and Calymperes sp.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan pemberian tugas untuk pengembangan kecerdasan spasial anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Islamiyah Pontianak Tenggara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persiapan guru dalam kegiatan pemberian tugas untuk pengembangan kecerdasan spasial anak adalah guru terlebih dahulu menentukan tema dan tujuan, menyiapkan alat dan bahan seperti media gambar dan balok, dan guru menata lingkungan kelas. Dalam pelaksanaannya guru terlebih dahulu menjelaskan tugas apa yang akan diberikan kepada anak, membagikan tugas tersebut, dan membimbing anak dalam mengerjakan tugas tersebut. Tugas yang diberikan adalah menggambar, mewarnai, melukis, menyusun balok membentuk sesuatu, cerita berantai, mencari jejak, dan menyusun gambar. Untuk perolehan hasil belajarnya sangat lancar karena dalam kegiatan pemberian tugas anak sedikit bertanya dan kecerdasan spasial anak pun berkembang baik, walaupun masih terdapat empat anak yang belum berkembang. Kata Kunci: Metode Pemberian Tugas, Pengembangan, Kecerdasan Spasial   Abstract: This research aims to describe the activities of assignment for the development of spatial intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in TK Islamiyah Pontianak Tenggara. The research method that used is descriptive. The results of this study indicate that the preparation of teachers in activities of assignment for the development of spatial intelligence of the child is the teacher in advance to determine the theme and objectives, equipment and materials such as media images and beams, and teachers organize classroom environment. In the implementation of the teacher first explain what tasks will be given to children, to share the task, and guide children in doing the task. The task given are drawing, coloring, painting, construction of beam forming something, serial story, look for the trail, and compose the image. For the acquisition of study results very smoothly because the activity giving the task a little child asks and spatial intelligence of children is growing well, although there are four children who were not yet developed. Abstract

The purposes of this research were to investigate the effect of problem based learning models on basic science process skills and student learning outcomes on the concept of a food digestive system in humans. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA of SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya City in two classes. The method that was being used in this research was true experiment. The sample was being taken by cluster random sampling method. To measure the basic science prosess skills of the students used an instrument which consists of 12 questions in the form of essay and to measure the learning outcomes used test consists of 30 questions in the form of multiple choice with 5 option. The analysis technique was ANCOVA (analysis of covariance). The results of this research revealed that there was an impact of the problem based learning model to basic science process skills and learning outcomes of learners on the concept of food digestion system in human and there was a relationship between basic science process skills and learning outcomes. Through this research, we found that the higher the basic science process skills of the students, therefore it will impact to the learning outcomes of the students to be better.

Abstract

Usaha peternakan ayam broiler merupakan salah satu jenis usaha peternakan yang berfokus pada pembesaran ayam pedaging untuk tujuan konsumsi. Memulai dan menjalankan usaha ini memerlukan perencanaan yang matang dan manajemen yang baik. Penentuan risiko dalam usaha peternakan ayam broiler adalah langkah penting untuk memastikan kelangsungan dan kesuksesan usaha tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui risiko yang terdapat dalam usaha peternakan ayam broiler. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif serta analisis Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 21 jenis risiko yang diidentifikasi, terdapat 18 jenis risiko dengan peringkat sangat rendah dan 3 jenis risiko dengan peringkat rendah. Identifikasi risiko ini meliputi risiko pada sumber daya manusia seperti kurangnya komunikasi dan tingkat pengetahuan tenaga kerja, serta risiko lingkungan seperti penyakit ayam broiler yang dapat mengakibatkan kematian dan penurunan produksi ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman terhadap risiko-risiko tersebut untuk dapat mengambil langkah mitigasi yang tepat guna memastikan keberlanjutan dan keberhasilan usaha peternakan ayam broiler.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies dan mengukur tingkat keanekaragaman insekta yang terdapat di kawasan Gunung Galunggung Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019 dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan insekta dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pitfall trap yang ditempatkan pada tiga lokasi dengan ketinggian yang berbeda.  Insekta yang terjebak kemudian diidentifikasi nama spesiesnya dan dihitung jumlahnya. Setelah itu dilakukan perhitungan untuk analisis indeks keanekaragaman dan indeks dominansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa insekta yang terperangkap dalam pitfall trap terdapat 5 bangsa yang terdiri dari 8 Suku dengan jumlah spesies sebanyak 12 dan total jumlah individu 142. Spesies dan jumlah individu terbanyak yang ditemukan yaitu suku Formicidae. Tiap lokasi penelitian mendapatkan indeks keanekaragaman yang berbeda, yaitu 2,26 (pada lokasi I), 1,63 (pada lokasi II), dan 1,82 (pada lokasi III). Indeks dominansi masing-masing lokasi, yaitu 0,12 (lokasi I), 0,30 (lokasi II), dan 0,21 (lokasi III). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indeks keanekaragaman setiap lokasi penyimpanan perangkap termasuk kategori sedang dengan indeks dominansi termasuk kategori rendah. Hal tersebut menandakan kondisi ekositem gunung Galunggung masih tergolong baik dan belum mencapai ekosistem klimaks.

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan suatu keniscayaan dalam rangka mewujudkan sumber daya manusia yang terdidik, berkarakter, dan berdaya saing global. Terlepas dari nilai IPM Kota Malang yang tinggi, Kota Malang masih belum dapat terbebas dari sejumlah permasalahan dalam bidang pendidikan. Permasalahan yang beragam, mulai dari belum meratanya kesempatan dan partisipasi belajar, belum maksimalnya kualitas dan kuantitas tenaga pendidik, kurangnya sarana dan prasarana pendidikan, hingga kurangnya jumlah tenaga pendidik untuk kaum disabilitas menjadi pekerjaan rumah tersendiri bagi Pemerintah Kota Malang, khususnya Dinas Pendidikan. Atas dasar tersebut, pendidikan menjadi salah satu urusan wajib yang ditetapkan sebagai prioritas pembangunan daerah di Kota Malang sesuai dengan amanat konstitusi. Penelitian ini bermaksud menganalisis pendidikan sebagai prioritas pembangunan di Kota Malang yang ditinjau berdasarkan sudut pandang praktis, teoritis, dan normatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data literature, document, dan legal review untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis pendidikan sebagai prioritas pembangunan daerah Kota Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang berkualitas di Kota Malang masih menemui sejumlah permasalahan dan oleh karena itu penetapan pendidikan sebagai urusan prioritas dalam Rencana Kerja Pemerintah Daerah (RKPD) Kota Malang sudah tepat dan sejalan dengan konstitusi serta RPJMN maupun RPJMD Provinsi Jawa Timur dan Kota Malang.

Abstract

The Bonokeling lineage, known in Indonesian as keturunan Bonokeling, is an indigenous community in Central Java, Indonesia, descended from Ki Bonokeling, a revered spiritual figure. They are known for preserving unique traditions and rituals that blend Javanese cultural values with Islamic teachings. One of their significant rituals is perlon unggahan, a ceremonial event held annually as a form of gratitude and preparation ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan. This study explores the tradition and the role of plants in the perlon unggahan ritual, focusing on their utilization and cultural significance. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was employed, involving participatory observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data was collected from 11 informants selected through purposive sampling. The findings show that the ritual uses 39 plant species from 22 families. The Zingiberaceae family is the most frequently utilized. The most used plant parts are fruits, followed by leaves, stems, seeds, flowers, rhizomes, tubers, and sap. Among all the plants observed, krambil (Cocos nucifera L.) has the highest Species Use Value (SUV), which is highlighting its central role in the ritual. Plant use is categorized into three main functions: food, offerings, and ceremonial equipment. These findings underscore the importance of preserving both the cultural heritage and the biodiversity associated with this traditional ritual.

Abstract

A good interconnection between mathematical ability and understanding of physics concepts is needed to solve physics problems. This study aims to analyze students' initial understanding of differential and integral concepts and students' understanding of using differential and integral in solving kinematic problems. This study involved 23 first-year Chemistry Education Study Program students taking a General Physics Course. The study was conducted in May 2024. This study was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Test was used to collect data with essay questions as an instrument. The instruments used are valid and reliable, with a reliability coefficient 0.74. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the number of students who understood the concept of differential was twice as many as those who understood the concept of integral. The results also showed that the number of students who could apply the concept of differential in solving physics problems was much greater than the number of students who could apply the concept of integral in solving physics problems. Even so, there was the much greater number of students who did not understand mathematical concepts and could not apply them in solving physics problems. This indicates the importance of strengthening mathematical concepts to support the implementation of physics learning. This can be conducted by involving students in problem-solving learning using real-life physics problems. Students must use their mathematical abilities and appropriate physics concepts to find the solutions. It will help students understand the interconnection between mathematics and physics so that they can see both as one inseparable part.

Abstract

Plant awareness disparity (PAD) is a phenomenon that indicates individuals' lack of attention or awareness towards plants in their surrounding environment. This gap can affect the ability of pre-service biology teachers to identify plant types. This study aims to analyze the correlation between PAD and plant identification skills in preservice teachers. This study aims to analyze the correlation between PAD and plant identification skills in students. The method used is correlational with instruments in the form of PAD questionnaires and local plant identification tests. The research population was all prospective biology teachers at Siliwangi University, totaling 518 people. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques, including 200 preservice biology teachers in grades 1 and 2. Data analysis using a simple regression correlation test, and based on the results of the analysis, it was found that PAD has a significant influence on plant identification ability, with a coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.75. This shows that 75% of the variation in plant identification ability can be explained by PAD, while 25% is influenced by other factors outside the measured variables. This finding indicates that increasing awareness of plant diversity can improve the skills of prospective biology teachers in identifying plants. The implications of this study indicate the importance of learning strategies to increase awareness of the existence of plants in biology education and improve the plant identification skills of prospective teachers and enrich the botanical literacy of the next generation. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics project-based learning (STEM-PjBL) on the collaborative problem solving (CPS) of preservice teachers (PSTs). The pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design was employed. A total of 72 PSTs enrolled in plant physiology course participated in this study. Self-assessment and project were used to evaluate PSTs’ CPS skills. Self-assessment scores were analyzed by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), while project scores were analyzed by the Mann-Whitney U test. The results of self-assessment indicated that STEM-PjBL enhances CPS skills, particularly in social regulation, task regulation, and knowledge building. The results of the team’s problem-solving skills in completing the project did not differ between the two groups. But the result of integrated STEM skills showed that the STEM-PjBL group was better at integrating STEM disciplines into their project. This study highlights the importance of interdisciplinary projects in a PjBL environment that can be adopted by teacher preparation programs for enhancing PSTs’ CPS skills as well as gaining knowledge of STEM integration.
