Abstract

Pasidikaran value is the traditional customary value of Balinese society, which in its implementation is based on the practice of the Tri Hita Karana concept. The strength in its implementation can even be seen in Kuta District, Badung Regency. This research was also conducted aimed at analyzing the implementation of market values by the people of Kuta in the modern era and benefits obtained. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive and explorative types. The theory used in this research is the cultural theory of the Jan Nedeveen Pieterse with a cultural hybridation paradigm. As for the implementation it continues to take place properly in accordance with the awig-awig and pararem of each traditional village and traditional banjar. Although in the process of implementing it, several modifications were made as a form of adjustment to the current situation of the community. Abstract

Parenting style is a way for parents to establish child's personality into what is expected by parents. However, current condition makes parents are busy and hard to take care of their children and they use another alternative, that is gadget. This study used descriptive-explorative qualitative research with qualitative data taken through interview, observation and document study. The researcher's aim was to describe the background and the impact of the use of gadget by parents on children in Denpasar city. Researcher have found that the culture of giving gadgets to children is considered commonplace by parents, preoccupation and parental aversion to parenting to be another reason in the upbringing. Both positive and negative effects are springing up and affecting their social behavior. Key words: parents, children, parenting style, gadget

Abstract

The kinship solidarity of the Toba Batak tribe is a dalihan na tolu consisting of: hula-hula, dongan sabutuha, and boru. Marriage by applying the concept of the tradition sinamot carried out by the Toba Batak tribe in East Jakarta is a preservation of traditional culture in the midst of the modernization of the capital city. Along with the development of the times and the influence of the existence of the Toba Batak people in the East Jakarta City area, the amount of sinamot in traditional marriages can be categorized according to education, occupation, background, social status, and so on. Batak Toba youth in East Jakarta City who have good finances will certainly find it easier to carry out traditional marriages or apply the tradition sinamot compared to youths who do not have good finances. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze more deeply about the highest participation and role of women in Hindu religious ceremonies. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive and exploratory types. The theory used in this study is the theory of performance from Judith Butler. The theory analyzes the identity of individuals will be formed on the performance that they do repeatedly and consistently. The results showed that the role played by Ida Pedanda Kania is one form of implementation of gender mentioned according to Judith Butller, ie someone having a gender that is different from gender is the result of the role they play so as to give birth to a new identity. This shows that becoming a leader of Hindu religious ceremonies in Bali is not limited to mere kelanin types. Men or women have the same rights to be ceremonial leaders. Abstract

Smartphones have been used by various groups, including housewives. This is because smartphones provide benefits in communication, entertainment and self-actualization. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The theory chosen in this study is the Cyberfeminism Theory popularized by Sandie Plant. This theory talks about the equality of use of technology for women, who have identified technology with men. Based on the results of this study, the use of smartphones by housewives is considered by people around to be very good and the use of smartphones for housewives is considered quite helpful although there are also negative views about excessive use of cell phones by housewives. There are various positive and negative impacts caused by smartphones. This study also explains that the technology of housewives can still be smart, not isolated from the outside world and equal in access to technology and can actualize themselves. Abstract

Power relations are relationships, patterns and systems created by the existence of power. As is the case in other professions, the potential for power relations that occur between doctors and patients is certainly influenced by knowledge, discourse and power which is dominated by doctors. Based on the results of this study, the relationship that exists between doctors and patients is no longer always between the subject and the object. In the current information age, patients can access health information from various media so that various doctor's recommendations can be considered as a whole. This study also explains how to analyze the impact of knowledge discourse in the information age that can affect the power relations between doctors and patients at A Hospital, B Hospital and C Hospitals. Instagram show that how someone trys to shep aiternate identity trough an account. This research was conducte to anaiyze the background and impiication of using an Instagram account by student of Udayana university.this reseach adopted quaiitative approaches descrptive to seek out that why individuais create to account Instagram to produce identity. This theory was seiected in this reseacrh was ambiguity identiy In new media theory by daniei chandier. There are sociai and poiitic facuity of Udayana university student who assesses the reai identity is in the first account and there is the opposite. Chandier though that a media can impIied In shifting the identity of a person appIies to students in Udayana university. Abstract

Lombok Island as one of the suppliers of pearl needs which has decreased productivity requires community empowerment, especially for pearl farmers. Empowerment of pearl farming communities in Sekaroh Village has been ongoing since 2013. Community empowerment in Sekaroh Village includes 6 aspects of empowerment. The aspects consist of environmental, cultural, economic, social, political and personal aspects. However, because of the constraints of funding and infrastructure and limited resources, it is an obstacle to the empowerment program. This has implications for the six aspects of empowerment that have not been achieved optimally so that good coordination is needed between pearl farmers, PT Autore as the private sector and the local government as policy makers to create a good and profitable business climate for all parties. Abstract

The research aims to analyze and explain the existence of the Village Consultative Body in carrying out its main duties and functions as a government organizer in Poco Ri'i Village, East Manggarai Regency. The Village Consultative Body is an interesting research object to study from a sociological perspective. This study uses Adam Smith's theory of bureaucratic pathology, analyzing the role and function of the Village Consultative Body which affects the sustainability of rural community democracy. Using a qualitative approach with this type of descriptive-explanatory research. The data collection method is applied to support the success, the accuracy of the research data. Through a series of applied methods, JURNAthe results of research that reveal the problems, roles and functions of the Village Consultative Body in Poco Ri'i Village, East Manggarai Regency, understand the important role of the Poco Ri'i Village Consultative Body. Abstract

The phenomenon of catcalling is a form of calling in the form of whistling, throwing seductive words at the victim. Not only the temptation that the victim gets in this phenomenon, but the victim also gets an unpleasant attitude by the perpetrator after the perpetrator makes the temptation. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the type of exploratory research. The theory used is the theory of action in George Herbert Mead's symbolic interactionism to examine the interpretation of the female teenagers in Denpasar City who are victims of the catcalling phenomenon. This study also discusses the psychological and social impacts experienced by victims of catcalling. The catcalling phenomenon occurs when the victim is in public places and the victim's housing area. Key words: Catcalling, Interpretation, Teenage girl
