Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the furniture industry where this companyprocesses raw materials into furniture products that have added value andhave benefits from before. In its operational activities, the company still hasnot implemented a good occupational health and safety system because of themany risks that must be faced by workers. This can be seen from the numberof hazard events found during the production process. Based on the resultsof field observations, there are 9 hazard events where these incidents must beminimized in order to reduce the number of work accidents. Risk control isone of the first steps used in minimizing the occurrence of hazards byanalyzing the risk control hierarchy. Analysis of the Risk Control Hierarchyis a form of process in analyzing the proposed K3 control in every event thatoccurs. The results of the risk control hierarchy analysis are suggestions foreach hazard event that have been adjusted to the level of the risk controlhierarchy. Of all the potential proposals given, some can be forwarded to thedesign in the form of providing safety signs in 2 hazard areas, namely theforklift area, slippery work area and smoke-free area. Before designing asafety sign, it is necessary to first evaluate the safety sign. Assessment ofsafety signs is an activity to assess the conditions or conditions of the fieldwhere safety signs will be installed to be able to find out the requirements orcriteria for appropriate safety signs in the hazard area. And from this processit can be known about the installation location of safety signs, Signal Wordsto be used, height, model, minimum reading distance and materials used inthe design of safety signs. The data used is anthropometric data that has beenfiltered according to the criteria of users who will read Safety Signs. Afterevaluating the safety sign, the next step is to make a design using the QualityFunction Deployment approach. QFD is a solution to design or develop aproduct in a structured manner by determining in advance the needs ordesires of the target consumer in advance so that they are able to take intoaccount systematically. In designing QFD there are 11 stages to be carriedout. The results of the QFD are the final specifications that become thereference in designing safety signs. have carried out a safety sign assessmentand Quality Function Deployment, the next step is to design a Safety sign thatrefers to the ANSI Z535.4 standard. The results of the design are in the formof a safety sign design that will be placed in the forklift area and a safety signdesign that will be placed in a slippery area.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing by processing raw materials into semi-finished goods or finished goods. Because the company routinely produces these products and involves machinery, it will allow small to serious work accidents to occur. Based on the hazard event data owned by the company, there are 5 very diverse events that will be analyzed in the risk control hierarchy to minimize hazard events. The results of the risk control hierarchy analysis have two hazard events that have safety sign design criteria. Therefore, research was conducted to design safety signs in the area of explosive materials and loading progress in minimizing hazard events using safety signs assessment and Ergonomic Function Deployment approaches. The data needed in the design are anthropometric data, layout data, customer statements and level questionnaires interest and satisfaction. From the results of the safe sign assessment, the signal word is obtained, determining the location, height, model, and material of the safety signs. The results of the safety signs assessment will be used for the Ergonomic Function Deployment approach. From the results of the Ergonomic Function Deployment, the results obtained are the size of safety signs, safe reading distance, type of layout, use of language and font size on safety signs. There are two types of designs, namely explosive material and loading progress safety signs. The design of safety signs refers to the ANSI Z535 standard so that the design of safety signs has detailed signal words, symbols, signs, and word messages.

Abstract

PT XYZ mengalami keterlambatan pencapaian target produksi Fullset dengan kapasitas daya tampung 11 liter yang menyebabkan waktu proses produksi melebihi waktu standar yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan. Hal tersebut terjadi dari beberapa faktor, yaitu method, man, dan environment. Waktu proses yang melebihi waktu standar disebabkan dari proses perakitan. Sehingga dilakukan perancangan perbaikan Standard operating procedure (SOP) proses perakitan pada produksi Sharp box container (Fullset) di PT XYZ menggunakan metode Business process improvement (BPI) dengan teknik improvement technique wheels untuk menyederhanakan proses dengan mengklasifikasikan setiap aktivitas yang memberikan nilai tambah bagi produk agar lebih efisien, efektif, adaptif dan sesuai dengan pedoman CPAKB. Total aktivitas pada proses perakitan eksisting sebanyak 11 aktivitas, dengan 5 aktivitas RVA, 5 aktivitas BVA, dan 1 aktivitas NVA dengan tingkat efisiensi pada waktu proses sebesar 51,26%. Setelah dilakukan penyederhanaan proses, total aktivitas pada proses perakitan sebanyak 7 aktivitas, dengan 4 aktivitas RVA dan 3 aktivitas BVA dengan tingkat efisiensi pada waktu proses perakitan naik mencapai 75,53%. Sehingga terjadi penyederhanaan 4 aktivitas dengan efisiensi waktu proses perakitan meningkat sebesar 24,27%. Hal tersebut menjelaskan bahwa semakin sedikit aktivitas yang tidak memberikan nilai tambah bagi produk maka semakin tinggi tingkat efisiensi waktu proses dan semakin cepat dalam mencapai target produksi Fullset.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri furnitur, produk yang dihasilkan bermacam-macam, salah satunya adalah kursi lipat Yamato. Kursi lipat Yamato merupakan produk yang paling banyak diproduksi, proses produksi dari kursi lipat Yamato terdiri dari tiga proses, yaitu proses konstruksi, proses pelapisan nickel chrome, dan proses perakitan. Pada penelitian ini peneliti lebih fokus dalam proses pelapisan nickel chrome dikarenakan jumlah cacat terbanyak terdapat pada proses ini berdasarkan data historis dari bulan Juli 2020 hingga Desember 2021. Proses pelapisan nickel juga memiliki banyak jenis cacat di antaranya cacat belang, terbakar, kuning, dan lain sebagainya. Proses pelapisan nickel chrome merupakan suatu proses pengendapan logam pada permukaan suatu logam maupun non-logam secara elektrolis. Pada analisis permasalahan terdapat proses yang tidak terpenuhi menggunakan diagram Ishikawa, analisis 5 whys, dan FMEA diketahui bahwa faktor berpengaruh yaitu ketidaksesuaian kadar pH, untuk memperbaiki permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan perancangan alat bantu. Metode yang digunakan untuk perancangan alat bantu merupakan metode QFD (Quality Function Deployment).QFD merupakan suatu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk maupun jasa dengan memahami setiap kebutuhan konsumen, kemudian menghubungkannya melalui aspek teknis untuk menghasilkan produk atau jasa yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen pada setiap pembuatan produk atau jasa yang dihasilkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini merupakan alat bantu untuk memantau kadar pH agar dalam keadaan standar. Dengan diadakannya perancangan alat bantu monitoring kadar pH diharapkan dapat meminimasi defect yang terjadi dalam proses pelapisan.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi celana jeans dengan menerapkan sistem make to stock. Berdasarkan data produksi perusahaan periode Januari 2020 sampai Desember 2021 terdapat sembilan jenis defect. Persentase jumlah produk defect melebihi batas toleransi yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu sebesar 5%. Salah satu proses yang bermasalah yaitu pada proses sewing. Penyelesaian masalah menggunakan metode DMAI (define, measure, analyze, improve). Pada tahap define dilakukan identifikasi CTQ produk, identifikasi CTQ proses, dan identifikasi masalah pada setiap tahapan proses. Pada tahap measure, dilakukan perhitungan stabilitas dan kapabilitas proses. Pada tahap analyze, dilakukan analisis akar permasalahan persyaratan proses yang tidak terpenuhi menggunakan diagram fishbone, dan 5 whys. Dari analisis akar permasalahan dilakukan analisis prioritas perbaikan menggunakan tool FMEA. Kemudian, diketahui bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh yaitu jarum-jarum ada pada satu wadah. Sehingga untuk memperbaiki proses sewing yang bermasalah agar meminimasi frekuensi defect, maka dilakukan tahap improve yaitu perancangan usulan alat bantu tempat jarum agar operator dapat menaruh jarum-jarum pada tempatnya masing-masing menggunakan Quality Function Deployment. Spesifikasi tempat jarum yang diusulkan memiliki panjang 17 cm, lebar 10 cm, dan tinggi 3 cm. Tempat jarum memiliki 3 sekat dengan material yang digunakan yaitu MDF. Hasil dari rancangan usulan alat bantu tempat jarum ini diharapkan akan membantu dalam mengurangi jumlah defect pada perusahaan sebanyak 41.24% dan meningkatkan level sigma yang semula 3.77 sigma menjadi 3.84 sigma.

Abstract

Pekerja merupakan asset utama dalam suatu industri/usaha. Baik itu usaha kecil, menengah, maupun besar. Peran pekerja tidak bisa digantikan serta merta oleh mesin, sehingga Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja mereka perlu dijaga agar tercipata suasana enak, nyaman, aman, sehat, efektif, efisien (ENASE) demi terwujudnya produktivitas yang erat kaitannya dengan output produksi. Desa Sukapura memiliki usaha kecil keripik singkong, yang digawangi oleh Ibu-ibu Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK). Industri kecil ini dimulai di tahun 2021 awal, dimana saat itu proses pemotongan singkong untuk menjadi keripik menggunakan pemotongan secara manual. Sebelumnya, awal tahun 2022, Fakultas Rekayasa Industri mengadakan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dengan output pengadaan mesin potong singkong otomatis. Dengan adanya mesin ini, kapasitas pemotongan meningkat menjadi kurang lebih 1kg/menit. Pada Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat kali ini, tim yang sama mengadakan pendampingan penggunaan alat, dengan fokus pada optimalisasi penggunaan mesin dan sosialisasi bentuk Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja, diantaranya pengadaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) berupa sarung tangan, alat Pertolongan Pertama pada Kecelakaan, dan beberapa petunjuk teknis penggunaan alat. Dari kegiatan kali ini, diharapkan pengguna mesin dapat menyadari pentingnya Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja khususnya saat menggunakan alat tersebut.Kata Kunci: kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja, mesin potong otomatis, alat pelindung diri, pengabdian masyarakat

Abstract

Sukapura Village, located in Bandung Regency, has a Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) program that includes various activities, such as the production of cassava chips. Currently, there is a high demand for cassava chips that cannot be met. Through analysis conducted by the community service team, it has been determined that the demand for cassava chips exceeds the production capacity. One of the contributing factors is the manual process involved in making cassava chips, which takes a relatively long time. One specific manual process is the mixing of cassava chips with dry seasoning. The cassava chips are placed in a container, and then dry spices are added. The mixing process is carried out by hand, ensuring that the spices are evenly distributed throughout the cassava chips. This manual process typically takes around 10-14 minutes for every 1.5 kg of cassava chips. To address this issue and improve efficiency, the community service team has designed and constructed a machine specifically for mixing dry seasoning. With this machine, the mixing process is significantly more efficient, taking less than 5 minutes to achieve optimal results. As a result, the time efficiency and productivity of the mixing process have greatly increased.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a metal casting industry company, where in the production process there are several potential hazards. The efforts made by the company to overcome these potential hazards are to provide PPE facilities to workers. However, the workers lack of self-awareness of OHS makes them not comply with the use of PPE. Therefore, work accidents still occur in the company. The methods used in the design proposal stage are FMEA and FTA. FMEA and FTA are failure analysis methods, FMEA can also be used to assess failures that occur. The stages of the two methods are integrated to then create a process of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control. The proposed design is in the form of a Risk Control SOP. The purpose of the Risk Control SOP is to identify what hazards occur in the production process and assess the level of risk, so that the company can provide appropriate controls for existing hazards. The SOP was made to fulfill the requirements contained in Clause 6.1 of ISO 45001: 2018 and PP No. 50 of 2012 concerning OHSMS. With the Risk Control SOP, it is hoped that it can assist the company in improving the company's OHSMS and the company can achieve zero accidents.

Abstract

Vendors are suppliers of goods or services that help the production process of a company. One of the companies that carry out vendor selection is CV Milyarda Cipta Karya which is engaged in fashion. Vendor selection is an activity to determine vendors who will work with the company to help the production process. Based on an assessment of the 30 most popular CV Milyarda Cipta Karya's products on Shopee, there are consumer complaints about the inconsistent quality of materials. This problem is caused by the absence of standards governing the mechanism for selecting fabric vendors. Therefore, it is necessary to know the priority level of vendor selection criteria. Vendor selection criteria are Quality of goods, response time, location, flexibility, price, vendor inventory policy, and vendor service. The data needed in the design are vendor selection criteria according to William J Stevenson, namely hierarchical data and criteria weighting questionnaires. The method used to determine the priority level of vendor selection criteria is the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. Based on the calculation of the AHP method, the results obtained are the criteria for quality of goods 0.19, location 0.12, response time 0.12, vendor inventory policy 0.09, flexibility 0.09, price 0.11, and vendor service 0.28. The largest priority value is vendor service and the smallest is flexibility.

Abstract

Maintenance management is important for production companies that rely on machines as the main infrastructure. UMKM Meflanna, as a printed hijab producer, has not managed machine maintenance routinely and effectively, which impacts the cessation of the production process and the failure to achieve several production targets. This study aims to compile a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for planning and implementing machine maintenance using the Business Process Management (BPM) method. The BPI method supports business process improvement by analysing the gap between actual conditions and the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 clause 7.1.3, which is the basis for designing process improvements. This study produces an SOP for Machine Maintenance Planning and Implementation, which includes preventive maintenance planning procedures and corrective and preventive maintenance implementation. It also provides supporting forms to document maintenance information. With structured procedures and better documentation, UMKM Meflanna is expected to maintain production continuity and achieve the set targets. Keywords: Business Process Management (BPM), ISO 9001:2015 clause 7.1.3, maintenance management, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
