This study aimed to determine the learning strategies used by students in working on PISA assessments characterized by local culture. The method used in this study was descriptive using qualitative data. The results of the study showed that the rehearsal strategy and organization strategy were used by all class classifications of high, medium and low classes. However, in the high class, the rehearsal strategy was used in all students while in the low class the rehearsal strategy was only used in certain numbers. For the elaboration strategy it only appears in the medium class. Whereas metacognitive strategy is only seen in a low class. In terms of local culture, after working on the questions given, there were previously unknown tourism which later became known such as the Makam Mbah Batu, Kampung Wisata Kungkuk, Arboretum, etc. In addition, they claimed to be more interested in visiting existing tourism, especially tourism that they just found out from the assessment.

This community service program aims to train and assist teachers in creating numeracy literacy-based learning media. The characteristics of this media are that it contains content, context, and types of Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) questions. This is motivated by the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum which is based on numeracy literacy which is not yet optimal. The implementation method is training and mentoring by a lecturer service team and a community service team by students (PMM Mitra Lecturer) targeting teachers at Muhammadiyah 3 Kepanjen Middle School. The success of this service program is the creation of learning media that includes the concept of numeracy literacy. The results of the training and mentoring that have been carried out are the formation of learning media within the context of literacy activities and connections between subjects. It should be noted that previously teachers had never created learning media so learning at school used the 2013 Curriculum student books. All of this learning media was developed using PowerPoint. The next recommendation for the community service program is teacher assistance in creating AKM-type questions.

Banyak sekolah yang belum memahami dan siap menerapkan kurikulum prototipe dan belum pernah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Tujuan penelitian ini difokuskan pada cara pandang dan kinerja guru matematika dalam mempersiapkan implementasi kurikulum prototipe. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan data yang diperoleh dari observasi dan wawancara. Selanjutnya, analisis data dilakukan dengan menunjukkan bukti kinerja dan naskah wawancara tentang perspektif guru untuk meninjau kesesuaiannya dengan penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru matematika selama penyusunan modul pembelajaran berbasis proyek adalah kesulitan dalam menyusun topik proyek dan mengoperasikan aplikasi komputer sehingga tampilan modul menjadi menarik. Perspektif guru terkait dengan kurikulum prototipe adalah adanya tantangan dalam mengembangkan modul pembelajaran berbasis proyek dimana proyek tersebut merupakan integrasi dari beberapa mata pelajaran. Penyusunan soal jenis AKM juga dinilai sulit dan produk penilaian dengan soal jenis AKM yang dihasilkan guru antara lain soal pilihan ganda, menjodohkan, esai pendek dan esai lengkap. Many schools do not understand, are ready to implement the curriculum prototype, and have never implemented project-based learning. This research aims to focus on the perspective and performance of mathematics teachers in preparing the curriculum prototype implementation. This study uses qualitative research methods with data obtained from observation and interviews. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out by showing evidence of performance and interview scripts about the teacher's perspective to review its suitability with previous research. The results showed that the mathematics teacher's performance during the preparation of project-based learning modules was the difficulty in compiling project topics and operating computer applications so that the module's appearance became attractive. The teacher's perspective on the curriculum prototype is that there are challenges in developing project-based learning modules where the project integrates several subjects. The preparation of AKM-type questions was also considered problematic, and the assessment products with AKM-type questions produced by the teacher included multiple choice questions, matchmaking, short essays, and complete essays.

The aim of this article is to describe how implementing a mentoring program in e-tutorials in learning tajweed. Learning tajweed is done by the method nasheed where nasheed and the whole of the material tajweed put on the application of Articulate Storyline. The method of implementation of the program is done online using the help of Zoom for 10 meetings. As for the phases of the program starting with giving pretest then mentoring including socialization, pretest, training, post-test and evaluation. The target programs are masjeed tenager who will organize TPQ for future program. The results of the implementation of the program, namely the passage of the program according to the schedule. In addition, there is an increasing understanding of tajweed by 85% through the scores of pretest and posttest obtained. Testimonials partners very well, especially in terms of the practicality of the media, interest, and understanding. The sustainability of this program is learning tajweed online via Live Instagram assisted by ustadz.

This study analyzed the effect of using Web Centric Course-assisted learning media on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The effect was measured by the improvement of the test result. The study was conducted based on the fact that teachers and students need learning media using websites because it does not need application installation. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class VIII. This research is a Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The analysis technique used is the normality test, variance homogeneity test, t-test, and the N-Gain test. Based on the results of the t-test analysis on the pretest and posttest data of the experimental class, the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 which means there is a significant difference between before and after treatment. It can be concluded that the Web-Centric Course (X) assisted learning media significantly affects the understanding of mathematical concepts in class VIII students (Y).

Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) merupakan salah satu perangkat pembelajaran yang berperan penting dalam mentransfer pengetahuan. Selama pandemi, guru dituntut memiliki kreativitas dalam menyusun LKPD yang diakses siswa secara online. Namun, fakta di SMPN 18 Malang menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang disusun guru berbentuk file Portable Document Format (PDF) yang dalam penggunaannya siswa harus mencetak dan mengisi secara manual. Melalui diskusi dengan Kepala SMPN 18 Malang, permasalahan pembelajaran di sekolah yaitu kurangnya pelatihan penyusunan LKPD secara online kepada guru sehingga siswa kurang antusias dan termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran online. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada 30 guru SMPN 18 Malang dalam menyusun LKPD interaktif menggunakan aplikasi liveworksheet. Pelaksanaan program pengabdian diawali dari sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan secara blended dibantu oleh tim mahasiswa “Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat oleh Mahasiswa (PMM) Mitra Dosen”. Ketercapaian pelatihan dan pengabdian ini didasarkan pada tersusunnya LKPD pada aplikasi Liveworksheet. Hasil yang baik telah dicapai dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dengan 70% guru menyelesaikan LKPD interaktif yang menarik menggunakan aplikasi Liveworksheet.

This study aims to develop a valid, effective, and practical mathematics learning tool. This study aims to develop student worksheets based on mathematical communication and critical thinking on data presentation material. The type of research conducted by researchers is research and development (R&D). This worksheet development model uses 4-D, namely the model from Thiagajar, among others: Define (defining), Design (design), Develop (development), Disseminate (deployment). Based on the purpose of this study, the worksheet develop by the researcher was declared valid with a final score of 3.89 which was obtained from the validation sheet of all instruments given to the two validators, namely lecturers and teachers and showed that it was feasible to be tested on students. The worksheets developed by the researchers were stated to be very practical with a final score of 84,93%, meaning that the worksheets were easy to use and achieved the learning objectives that had been determined. The worksheet developed by the researchers showed a very effective category with an average final score of 5.86% and an average N-Gain score of 0.55 and the percentage of N-gain scores was 55.73% with a moderate improvement category, meaning that the worksheet had influence on students so as to bring results in achieving learning objectives.Keywords: students’ worksheet, Missouri mathematics project, mathematical communication, critical thinking.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp57-66

Abstract: Students' Relational Thinking and Mathematical Communication in Contextual Problem-Solving in Muhammadiyah Junior High School 8 Batu Objective: This research aims to describe students' relational thinking and mathematical communication processes in solving mathematical problems using contextual problems in curved geometric shapes. Method: This research uses qualitative research methods by collecting data using relational thinking tests, written mathematical communication, and interviews to determine oral mathematical communication. The research instruments used in this research were relational thinking tests, written mathematical communication, and interview guidelines. The subjects of this research were junior high school students in the IX class. The data analysis is a test and interview results, then conclusions are drawn. Findings: The research results show that the dominant students were in the medium category after carrying out tests on relational thinking and written mathematical communication. Conclusion: In the analysis of oral communication thinking, the results showed that students who were in the low category in relational thinking processes were still unable to fulfill several indicators; apart from that, students were still not able to communicate mathematically, but in mathematical oral communication they were in the medium category. Meanwhile, students in the moderate category of relational thinking processes can only fulfill several indicators and must be able to communicate mathematically. Still, according to the analysis of mathematical oral communication, they are classified as good. Students in the high category of relational thinking processes are just unable to build complete relationships and can communicate mathematically well. Manusia selalu menggunakan perhitungan serta angka pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Matematika juga artinya bidang pendidikan yang sangat krusial bagi kehidupan manusia. Dalam pendidikan matematika, banyak faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan, termasuk kemampuan, keinginan, kesiapan guru, dan kesiapan siswa, tetapi yang paling penting adalah jenis kelamin siswa (gender). Gender merupakan aspek psikososial yang menentukan cara seseorang bertindak dan berperilaku agar dapat diterima di lingkungan sosialnya. Perbedaan gender dapat mempengaruhi cara seseorang berpikir dan menyelesaikan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi verbal dan spasial yang digunakan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pembelajaran matematika. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan siswi SMP secara acak untuk setiap jenjang kelas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi terhadap siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pemberian tes. Aspek yang diukur pada tes mengikuti indikator strategi verbal dan spasial. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase siswa perempuan memiliki kecenderungan strategi verbal sebanyak 50% dan siswa laki-laki memiliki kecenderungan mempunyai kemampuan visual denagn persentase 50%. Pada penelitian ini diketahui jika siswa laki-laki lebih mudah mencari jarak tempuh dalam soal secara grafis daripada deskripsi. Sedangkan siswa perempuan lebih dominan menyelesaikan permasalah dari konsep ruang dengan menggunakan strategi verbal yaitu dengan mendeskripsikan jawaban. Namun baik siswa dan siswi dalam penelitian ini masih kurang mampu dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam bentuk matematis.
