Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of blocking and fortification games on the physical fitness level of elementary school students. The research method used was experimental using a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and the sample consisted of 54 students. Data collection techniques are 1) documents taken from the results of learning notes during the treatment delivery process, and 2) physical fitness tests is to know physical fitness level. The data analysis technique uses the t-test, but the data analysed must have a normal distribution so that the level of normality and homogeneity of the data is first tested. The t-test results for the Hadang and Bentengan games showed statistically significant increases in physical fitness (e.g., t = 29.105 for Hadang, t = 21.236 for Bentengan, both p 0.05)., so it can be concluded that there was an increase in physical fitness through the Bentengan game. Students' physical fitness levels experienced a significant increase in sprints, pull-ups, sit-ups, vertical jumps and short-distance running activities. The results of this research also have implications for the development of various types of traditional games for other physical fitness learning activities or other health, sports and physical fitness learning activities. Teachers can design types of games as teaching techniques and can be adjusted to the age needs of students such as for elementary or junior high school levels.

Abstract

Over the past few years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of integrating technology into educational practices to engage students more effectively. Traditional PE methods and limited resources have hindered effective learning, necessitating new approaches. This research aimed to develop innovative, interactive learning media based on adobe animate to enhance elementary students’ learning outcomes in manipulative movement skills—a crucial component of Physical Education (PE) that fosters physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Utilizing the research and development (RD) method with Borg and Gall's ten-stage model, the study involved experts and participants from five elementary schools in Purwokerto City. Following a structured process of preliminary study, planning, development, field trials, product revisions, and large-scale testing, data were analyzed using SPSS software. Expert evaluations rated the media and material highly (91.25% and 87.50%, respectively), indicating strong acceptance and usability. Field trials showed increased student motivation and engagement, demonstrating the effectiveness of the interactive approach. Large-scale trials confirmed significant improvements in learning outcomes, with interactive media exhibiting greater efficacy compared to conventional methods. The paired sample t-tests revealed a statistically significant increase in learning outcomes, where Group A (utilizing interactive media) achieved a p-value of 0.001, whereas Group B (employing traditional methods) obtained a p-value of 0.040. The findings emphasize the critical role of incorporating innovative technologies like Adobe Animate in PE programs, offering a model for developing impactful learning media across diverse educational settings. Moreover, they stress the necessity for ongoing adaptation and feedback integration to sustain media relevance and effectiveness over time. Future research could investigate the long-term impacts of interactive media on varied subjects and learning environments, as well as explore possibilities for customizing instructional materials based on individual student needs.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning model for basic locomotor movements through a traditional game approach. The study uses a Research and Development (R&D) methodology adapted from the Borg and Gall model, focusing on three stages: (1) Research and Information Collection, (2) Planning, and (3) Initial Product Development. Data were collected using observations, questionnaires, and interviews, analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The needs analysis revealed the need for an innovative and engaging learning model to enhance the learning experience of elementary school students. In the planning phase, a team of experts was formed to design the product. The initial development stage resulted in a learning model integrating traditional games as a medium for basic locomotor movements. Theoretical validation was conducted with experts in learning, material, and media. The outcome is the Bintang Nyago learning model, designed to improve basic locomotor skills through traditional games. The model was validated by experts with material experts rating it 85.83%, learning experts scoring 0.94, and media experts 0.95. The feasibility test showed 90%, practicality test 100%, and effectiveness test 100%, with a significant improvement in students' pre-test (79) and post-test (89) scores. This model proved effective in enhancing students' movement skills, cooperation, confidence, and discipline. The results support the use of modified traditional games to meet the developmental needs of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning medium for short storybooks of basic motion material for catching. The research method used is to adopt the research and development (R & D) model of Borg and Gall up to the 3rd stage, namely 1) Research and Information Collection, 2) Planning, 3) Develop Preliminary of Product Data collection using observation, questionnaires, and interviews, Data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative data. The stages start from (1) Research and information collecting, the results of the needs analysis show that there is a need for updates to make learning media in the form of short storybooks that are more innovative and interesting so that students learn data anywhere at any time without being limited by space and time. (2) Planning, making a research plan by forming a team according to the expertise needed to help develop research products. (3) Develop Preliminary of Product to create a model / design of learning book products that are outlined in interesting images and short stories to improve student reading literacy and theoretical feasibility tests by involving expert judgments,  namely learning experts, material experts and media experts.   Hasil research shows that Learning Media in the form of short storybooks of basic motion material for throwing is declared suitable for use in elementary school students.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low ability of the front kick of UNP martial arts athletes. The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) how much the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the speed of the front kick of pencak silat athletes at Padang State University, 2) how much the contribution of body flexibility to the speed of the front kick of pencak silat athletes at Padang State University, 3) how much the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and body flexibility to the speed of the front kick of pencak silat athletes at Padang State University.  This research is correlational, which is to find out how much the relationship of variables with one another. The population in this study was atlet pencak silat UNP, and untill amounted to 20 people who were carried out at  the Lubuk Buaya PGSD Campus using purposive sampling techniques  , namely sampling based on the researchers' considerations. Based on the calculation of product moment correlation, 1) There is a significant contribution to the explosive power of the leg muscles with the kick speed of UNP pencak silat athletes of 22.66%, 2) There is a significant contribution of body flexibility with the kick speed of UNP pencak silat athletes of 25.7%, 3) There is a contribution which is significant, the explosive power of the leg muscles and flex with the ability of the kick speed of UNP martial arts athletes by 30.25%.  This shows that the improvement   to the speed of the front kick of UNP Padang pencak silat athletes can be done by making improvements to thelegs and flexibility of the athlete's body.
