Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada wawancara dengan Wariski, S.Pd., guru kelas VII informatika MTsN 2 Agam, serta beberapa siswa kelas VII lainnya pada tanggal 20 Maret 2024. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, ditemukan bahwa metode pengajaran menggunakan buku LKS dan papan tulis, yang dilengkapi dengan penjelasan guru serta praktik langsung, masih kurang efektif dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa di bidang informatika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Adobe Animate sebagai alternatif yang dapat meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran informatika. Pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menggunakan model Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate (DDD-E) dalam kerangka penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Proses ini melibatkan empat tahapan, yaitu (1) Decide atau perencanaan, (2) Design atau perancangan, (3) Develop atau pengembangan, dan (4) Evaluate atau evaluasi, yang bertujuan untuk menguji dan menilai media yang dihasilkan agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. Validitas media diuji dengan menggunakan metode statistik Aiken’s V, kepraktisan dievaluasi dengan momen kappa, dan efektivitasnya diuji menggunakan metode G-Score dari Richard R. Hake. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media berbasis Adobe Animate ini dinilai valid oleh tiga validator dengan skor rata-rata 0,93, dinilai sangat praktis oleh dua pewawancara dengan rata-rata 0,79, dan dinilai sangat efektif oleh dua puluh siswa dengan rata-rata 0,72. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Adobe Animate sebagai media pembelajaran informatika di MTsN 2 Agam mampu meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Oral health is an important aspect of maintaining overall health, especially in elementary school-aged children. Lack of understanding about oral hygiene can lead to various dental health problems, such as caries and periodontal disease. This community service program aims to improve oral hygiene status through dental health education for students of SDN 33 Banda Aceh City and their parents. The method used was pre-test and post-test without control group with univariate analysis. The intervention included counseling, demonstration of proper tooth brushing, and examination of debris index and calculus index. Results showed significant improvements in parents' knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards their children's dental health. In addition, there was an improvement in children's oral hygiene status, with the proportion of the poor category decreasing from 45.7% to 5.7%, while the good category increased from 22.9% to 42.9%. This program proves that dental health education conducted in a direct and interactive manner can increase awareness and habits of maintaining oral hygiene. Therefore, similar educational programs need to be carried out in a sustainable manner with the support of schools and parents

Abstract

Dental caries is one of the most common health problems among children, closely related to oral hygiene and the use of fluoride. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and awareness of parents and children about the importance of fluoride in preventing dental caries. The activity took place in Lam Cot Village, Lueng Bata Subdistrict, Banda Aceh, using methods such as educational lectures, demonstrations of proper toothbrushing techniques, and one-week direct mentoring. A total of 30 elementary school children and 20 parents participated in this program. Evaluation results showed an increase in participants' average knowledge scores from 63.33 to 83.33 (a 20-point improvement) after the implementation of education and mentoring. Additionally, there was an improvement in the compliance of brushing teeth twice a day using fluoride toothpaste. This program had a positive impact on preventing dental caries in children through educational and mentoring approaches.

Abstract

Dental caries is a disease caused by the interaction between debris and plaque bacteria, diet and teeth. Dental caries tops the list of other diseases in Indonesia. The prevalence of dental disease, especially in children aged 12 years, has a tendency to increase. Prevention of caries can be done by brushing your teeth. The purpose of community service is to increase students' knowledge about how to prevent dental caries and improve students' skills in brushing their teeth properly and correctly. This activity was carried out for students of SDN I Kayee lee Kec. Aceh Besar in 2018 with a target of 30 students in class IV A. The interventions provided were in the form of counselling and accompanied by demonstrations of how to brush teeth properly and correctly, brushing teeth together. The results of the activity showed that 83% of students already knew how to prevent dental caries. It is recommended that students to be able to increase their knowledge about how to brush their teeth properly and correctly and be able to apply dental and oral health maintenance measures in an effort to prevent dental caries.

Abstract

Dental health education is key instilling good oral hygiene practices and correct tooth brushing techniques in students. A community service initiative SDN 60 Banda Aceh City, aimed at Class V students, significantly enhanced their knowledge on dental and oral health using a descriptive educational approach for all 30 class members, with data analyzed univariate analysis. The intervention, which included dental health education remarkably improved students' dental health awareness. Before intervention, students predominantly lacked dental health knowledge; post-intervention, an impressive 96.7% exhibited good knowledge levels. This improvement underscores dental health education's effectiveness and the necessity of health workers' promotive approaches. Participation in School Health Unit (UKGS) activities, emphasizing the right brushing techniques and habits, is crucial for boosting dental and oral health awareness among youth. This experience highlights critical role of dental health education in enhancing students' overall health and well-being, demonstrating its transformative impact.

Abstract

  Plaque control is very important for maintaining oral healt. The habit of maintaining healthy teeth and mouth is influenced by the knowledge one has and proper tooth brushing techniques are very important in achieving dental and oral hygiene. Therefore, delivering dental and oral health education to students is very important. This community service aims to increase knowledge about how to control plaque and how to brush teeth properly and correctly in children at SDN 53 Banda Aceh City. This community service was carried out using a descriptive method, with the target being all 30 class V students at SDN 53 Banda Aceh City. The intervention provided is in the form of education about children's dental health and demonstrations on how to see plaque and how to control plaque (brushing teeth properly and correctly). Abstract

Dental and oral health is a part of body health that cannot be separated from one another because it will affect overall body health. The aim of this research is to understand the behavior of elementary school age children in terms of dental and oral hygiene status. The type of research used is descriptive research. The population in this study was all 23 students in class IV and 10 students in class V, namely 33 students. Determining the sample in this study used the total population technique. The research results found that the majority of respondents were male (58%), had good knowledge (79%), poor attitudes (67%) and poor actions (73%).

Abstract

Pengetahuan atau pendidikan tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut suatu kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan prilaku seorang mengenai kesehatan gigi. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan gigi yang dilakukan pada 45 murid oleh peneliti di MIN 1 Aceh Barat didapatkan bahwa status kebersihan gigi dan mulut rata-rata 3,2 dengan kriteria buruk. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada murid kelas IV dan V MIN 1 Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, populasi penelitian ini adalah murid kelas IV dan V MIN 1 Aceh Barat Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat yang berjumlah 45 murid. Sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling yaitu semua populasi dijadikan sampel yaitu 45 murid. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 45 responden didapatkan 19 responden (42,2%) dengan pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut yang baik dan 26 responden (57,8%) dengan pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut yang kurang baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa murid kelas IV dan V MIN 1 Aceh Barat Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat mempunyai perilaku kurang baik pada pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut dan cara menyikat gigi yang baik dan tepat. Disarankan kepada anak untuk lebih meningkatkan tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut.

Abstract

Perilaku mempunyai peran penting untuk mempengaruhi standar kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Perilaku dalam memelihara kesehatan dipengaruhi oleh faktor pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan. Perilaku memegang peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi status kebersihan gigi dan mulut seseorang. Keterampilan menyikat gigi secara baik dan benar merupakan faktor yang cukup penting untuk pemliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Keberhasilan pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut dipengaruhi oleh faktor penggunaan alat, metode penyikatan gigi, serta frekuensi, cara dan waktu yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku ibu-ibu tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut di desa Kuta Bakdrien Kecamatan Tangan-Tangan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu accidental sampling Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 17 Juli sampai dengan 22 Juli 2019 dengan 30 orang ibu-ibu yang berkunjung ke Posyandu di desa Kuta Bak Drien Kecamatan Tangan-Tangan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya dengan cara melakukan wawancara yang berhubungan dengan pengetahuan sikap dan tindakan pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa responden yang berpengetahuan kategori kurang baik sebanyak 21 responden (70%), sikap dengan kategori positif yaitu sebanyak 20 responden (66,7%) dan tindakan dengan kategori kurang baik yaitu sebanyak 23 responden (76,7%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan perilaku ibu-ibu yang mengunjungi Posyandu tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut masih kurang baik. Diharapkan kepada masyarakat terutama ibu-ibu untuk dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan dalam memelihara kebersihan gigi dan mulut

Abstract

Oral health issues remain a significant challenge for children with special needs, particularly at the Special Needs School for Special Needs (SLB) in Aceh Province, located in Gampong Lamreung, Aceh Besar Regency. Initial observations indicate that 70% of children suffer from dental caries, with an average Oral Hygiene Score (OHIS) of 2.8, well above the national standard of <1.2. This condition is exacerbated by children's limited ability to maintain dental hygiene independently. The decreased quality of life of children due to chewing difficulties, pain, and lack of sleep has become an urgent need for this community service initiative. This activity aims to improve the dental health of children with disabilities through home-based dental care. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with an educational approach for parents, particularly mothers, through counseling, demonstrations of toothbrushing techniques, and three home visits over 14 days. The evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire through pre-test, post-test I, and post-test II on 20 pairs of mothers and children. The intervention results showed an improvement in maternal behavior, from 65% in the adequate category (pre-test) to 90% in the good category (post-test II). The children's dental hygiene status also improved significantly, from 100% in the poor category (pre-test) to 80% in the good category (post-test II). In conclusion, the home care approach has proven effective in improving maternal roles and improving the dental hygiene status of children with disabilities. It is recommended that similar programs be replicated in other special needs schools with ongoing involvement of schools and healthcare professionals.
