Abstract

Abstract

Smartwatches are wearable devices that are increasingly used to support health monitoring, physical activity, productivity, and healthy lifestyles. However, the sustained use of smartwatches remains a challenge because not all users continue using these devices over the long term. This study aims to examine the effects of perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on users' continuance intention to use smartwatches, with age serving as a moderating variable. The study integrates Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and adopts a quantitative survey design. Data were collected from 303 smartwatch users in the Greater Jakarta area belonging to Generation Z and Generation Y and were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have positive and significant effects on users' continuance intention to use smartwatches, whereas perceived severity and perceived vulnerability do not have significant effects. Furthermore, age significantly moderates the relationships between perceived vulnerability and continuance intention, and between perceived behavioral control and continuance intention, but does not moderate the relationships involving perceived severity, attitude, or subjective norms. These findings suggest that the sustained use of smartwatches is driven more by users' positive attitudes, social influences, and perceived behavioral control than by their perceptions of health threats.

Abstract

The growing emphasis on sustainability has intensified academic interest in understanding how social media marketing influences sustainable purchase intention, particularly within the sustainable fashion industry. Despite the expanding body of research, existing studies remain theoretically fragmented and often examine social media marketing, brand engagement, and sustainable involvement in isolation. Grounded in the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) framework, this study aims to systematically map and review the scholarly literature on the relationship between social media marketing (stimulus) and sustainable purchase intention (response), with brand engagement and sustainable involvement conceptualized as key organismic mechanisms. Although research in this area is growing, prior studies remain fragmented and lack theoretical integration. Using a PRISMA-based systematic literature review, 60,509 Scopus-indexed records published between 2015 and 2025 were initially identified. Through a rigorous multi-stage screening process based on relevance, construct integration, sustainable fashion context, and empirical completeness, 15 key articles were selected for in-depth analysis. Bibliometric mapping using VOSviewer was conducted to identify thematic clusters, research trends, and phenomenon gaps. The findings show that sustainable purchase intention is centrally positioned in the literature and is influenced by social media marketing primarily through brand engagement and sustainable involvement. Interactive, value driven social media content enhances consumers’ emotional and cognitive engagement with brands, while higher sustainability involvement strengthens intention consistency. Theoretically, this study contributes by advancing the application of the SOR framework through a unified conceptual perspective. Practically, the results highlight the importance of sustainability storytelling, interactive campaigns, and online community-building as effective social media strategies to stimulate sustainable purchase intention.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to examine the effects of relationship quality dimensions, namely customer satisfaction, trust, and commitment, on customer loyalty in a Business-to-Business (B2B) context within the manufacturing industry at PT Indonesia Steel Tube Works (ISTW).Methodology: This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected from 119 B2B customers of PT ISTW who are directly involved in purchasing decision-making processes.Finding: The results show that customer satisfaction and trust do not have a significant direct effect on customer loyalty, indicating that in mature B2B relationships these variables primarily function as basic relational prerequisites rather than key drivers of loyalty. Conversely, commitment has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, highlighting the importance of relational attachment and a long-term orientation in sustaining B2B partnerships. Conclusion: This study concludes that commitment represents the primary determinant of customer loyalty in B2B manufacturing relationships.

Abstract

Food waste remains a major global sustainability challenge, particularly at the consumer level where suboptimal food is frequently rejected despite being safe and nutritious. Objectives: This study aims to examine the effects of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and food waste awareness of consequences on consumers purchase intention of suboptimal food. The study integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Value-Belief-Norm (VBN) theory to explain pro-environment purchasing behavior. Methodology: A quantitative approach was applied using survey data collected from 228 consumers. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Finding: The results show that attitude and subjective norms have a strong and significant positive effect on purchase intention, while food waste awareness of consequences also contributes significantly. Perceived behavioral control, however does not significantly influence purchase intention. Conclusion: These findings suggest that psychological and moral factors play a critical role encouraging consumers to purchase suboptimal food and reduce food waste. The study provides important implications for marketers, policymakers, and sustainability campaigns aimed at promoting sustainable consumption behavior.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of health consciousness, ecological motives, and environmental knowledge on purchase intention toward green cosmetic products. The study focuses on consumers residing in Jakarta who demonstrate an intention to purchase environmentally friendly cosmetics A quantitative method was utilized with purposive sampling, leading to 195 valid participants. Data was gathered using a structured survey and subsequently analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) aided by SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that health consciousness, ecological motives, and environmental knowledge all significantly and positively influence purchase intention. These outcomes suggest that both personal health factors and awareness of environmental issues are crucial in determining consumer preferences for eco-friendly cosmetic products. Keywords: Health Consciousness, Ecological Motives, Environmental Knowledge, Purchase Intention
