Abstract

This study aims, to determine the factors that support the achievement of student achievement in elementary schools in terms of the teacher's role. This research was conducted at the Inpres Pattallassang Elementary School. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with the aim of describing the teacher's role in increasing student motivation and learning achievement at the elementary school education level. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews and observation. The fundamental thing in qualitative research is the researcher as an instrument. Therefore, in research, data analysis will be carried out from the time this research takes place to data collection to the preparation of research reports that become the object or target of research in the field. For qualitative data analysis, a sequence of analytical activities is carried out in stages, namely the process of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verifying information into statements. The results of the study reveal that teachers have a very important role in student motivation and achievement such as being a demonstrator, class managers, mediators, facilitators, evaluators, and motivators for students so that students can achieve their learning achievements.

Abstract

The public awareness of the importance of quality of life is formed by making functional food an alternative to improve health. The availability of abundant Sonneratia sp. or pada mangrove fruit and good metabolite content make pada fruit an alternative functional food, including dried fruit candy and kombucha. This activity aims to increase scientific knowledge and the application of appropriate technology through education and training in diversifying pada fruit as a functional food. This activity was conducted on July 31-August 12, 2024, at SMAN 1 Tarakan. The method of this activity consists of three stages. The first is delivering educational material related to introducing mangrove fruit types and their potential as functional food. The second stage is training and assistance in making pada fruit candy and kombucha. The third stage is evaluation and monitoring at the end of the activity to determine the partner's understanding and success. This training activity shows that partners understand that pada fruit from various mangrove plants in the North Kalimantan region can be directly used as a functional food. The training phase produced dried candied pada and three types of kombucha derived from green tea, butterfly pea flower tea and rosella flower tea. In the evaluation process of the activity, the obstacles identified were the desired carbonation level in kombucha and the shelf life of candied fruit. The training increased partners' insight by 80% into utilizing pada in creative and innovative health products (kombucha and candied fruit).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out a comprehensive picture of students' mathematical understanding in the online learning process, especially in the triangle and quadrilateral material. The study was conducted on 20 students in MTs. Nurul Islah Gegelang. The qualitative research method was chosen. Interactive analysis is applied to obtain in-depth information related to interpreting research findings. Data collection is done by using zoom meeting. The research data are in the form of test scores for mathematical understanding abilities, observation sheets related to the online learning process carried out and in-depth interviews to determine students' mathematical understanding abilities. The results of the study showed that, out of 20 students, only 8 students scored 30 and 12 were below. The ability of students' mathematical understanding in the online learning process was still very poor, especially in the concept of triangles and quadrilaterals. Students' understanding is still limited to memorizing properties without understanding in detail the characteristics of each flat shape. Students still have difficulty in applying formulas to triangles and quadrilaterals in solving problems.

Abstract

Sekolah Penggerak are schools that are required to implement the Kurikulum Merdeka. One obstacle that Sekolah Penggerak experienced in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka is the low competence of school principals and teachers in compiling and processing assessment results and report cards. Workshops are a relatively effective way of developing the competence of school principals and teachers. Therefore, this service aims to strengthen the competence of school principals and teachers regarding assessments and report cards through workshop activities. The workshop was also chosen because it involves direct interaction with participants through relevant worksheets. The participants of the workshop were eighteen people consisting of three junior high school principals, three high school principals, six teachers of the junior high school, and six teachers of the high school who were members learning committee. Workshop activities are carried out for eight lesson hours using worksheets from the government. Data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The dedication results show that the workshop activities are going well, especially the discussion activities. Although, the time allocation for activities tends to be more. In general, each school has been able to prepare assessments well, although it is still constrained in making criteria for achieving learning objectives. In addition, the assessment editor designed by the school still needs to be more optimal because there are still schools that compile an assessment rubric for that section. Likewise, when processing the assessment results, it was found that schools needed to be able to formulate a formula to determine student scores. In contrast to the previous results, when participants compiled report cards, information was obtained that all schools could prepare report cards properly, including in compiling descriptions related to student competency achievements.
