Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of textile factory closures on employment in Indonesia using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) framework integrated with the maqid al-sharah principles of Islamic economics. A descriptive qualitative method was applied, utilizing secondary data from BPS, the Ministry of Industry, and academic publications from 20182024. The results show that the main strengths of the textile industry lie in production capacity and labor absorption, while its weaknesses include dependence on imported raw materials and weak financial management. Opportunities arise from industrial downstream policies and local cultural-based products, whereas threats stem from global competition and economic instability. The integration of SWOT analysis with maqid al-sharah emphasizes justice, social responsibility, and workers welfare as essential elements in ensuring the sustainability of Indonesias textile industry.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the Special Autonomy Fund (Otsus) on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Aceh during 2015–2024 using panel data from 23 districts/cities and a Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The analysis includes Otsus funds, education expenditure, health expenditure, and regional investment as independent variables. The findings indicate that Otsus funds significantly improve HDI, with varying impacts across regions. Education and health spending further strengthen this effect, highlighting the importance of effective and targeted budget allocation. The study provides insights for improving the management of Otsus funds to support sustainable human development in Aceh.

Abstract

Abstract

Regional economic growth is influenced by a combination of dynamics in the real sector and the fiscal capacity of local governments in managing budgets and resources. This study aims to analyze the impact of the disbursement of the Special Allocation Fund and regional fiscal autonomy on economic growth in Southwest Aceh Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary time-series data for the period 2011–2024 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression following tests for stationarity and classical assumptions. The results indicate that, when analyzed individually, the disbursement of the Special Allocation Fund and local fiscal autonomy do not have a significant effect on economic growth. Simultaneously, the two variables also did not show a significant effect. These findings indicate that changes in fiscal resources have not yet had a strong short-term impact on regional economic growth. Therefore, fiscal management needs to be directed toward productive activities, economic infrastructure, and the strengthening of leading sectors in order to create a multiplier effect on the regional economy.
