Abstract

In Balongwono Village, emerging household problems are inextricably linked to the influence of modernization, economic activity, and the rampant, unwise use of social media. Although the Balongwono community is known to be quite religious, ethical household values have not yet been fully internalized in daily life. Given this situation, Islamic studies on household ethics are essential in Balongwono Village. The potential for success of this program is quite high, given the community's high enthusiasm for attending religious studies, supported by the presence of respected religious figures, adequate worship facilities, and a strong tradition of mutual cooperation. Implementation methods include thematic studies with resource persons, interactive discussions, and the use of learning media in the form of easy-to-understand pocket books. Program evaluation is carried out through pretests and posttests. The results showed a significant increase from an average pretest score of 73.11 to 94.44 in the posttest, with all participants classified as capable. This success demonstrates not only the effectiveness of the method but also the community's enthusiasm for participating. This program has made a positive contribution by increasing understanding of Islamic household ethics and is expected to continue through regular village religious study activities.

Abstract

This community service program in Balongwono Village, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency aimed to enhance farmers’ awareness and understanding of agricultural waste utilization and innovation through the introduction of Jakaba liquid organic fertilizer and banana pseudo-stem (gedebog) chips. Jakaba, produced from the fermentation of rice-washing water, has been proven to improve soil fertility, accelerate plant growth, and reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers, while banana pseudo-stem chips provide an economically valuable product from agricultural waste that is often underutilized. The program was conducted through face-to-face socialization, interactive discussions, and the distribution of product samples to farmers. The results indicated a significant improvement in farmers’ knowledge, as shown by the increase in average scores from 79.54 (pre-test) to 90.28 (post-test). Therefore, this program effectively supports sustainable agriculture, creates value-added products from waste, and contributes to improving the welfare of rural communities.

Abstract

In the era of increasingly developing technology, almost all subjects use internet media. The android-based English Learning Application is a learning medium that is used interactively in understanding vocabulary that is easy for students to understand. The intended subject of this activity is a grade IV student of SDN Megaluh. The problem experienced by grade IV students of SDN Megaluh is that they do not get English lessons from the first to third grades due to the independent curriculum which results in them not getting English language learning. The purpose of creating this learning media is to make it easier for students to get to know some basic vocabulary in English. The methods used in this case are twofold, namely the lecture method and the question and answer method. Both of these methods are used to find out the needs of students. From the analysis with these two methods, an ideal dictionary application was created where this application will support learning. It is hoped that this application can later be developed again by SDN Megaluh to support English learning, especially for students who are still new to English lessons. Because this kind of application if developed in the future becomes a learning medium that is quite interesting for students.

Abstract

21st-century skills are essential because supporting various needs, including in the workplace and in society. However, many college graduates currently lack 21st-century skills. This can impact graduates' ability to face the challenges of this era. Similar research conducted in Sintang revealed data at the school level and discussed parts of 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking skills. Consequently, universities are at risk of not preparing learning that is appropriate to the needs of the times, which is feared to impact graduate competency gaps. This study followed the working principles of descriptive quantitative research methods, with a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire. This study was completed by students from three different districts: Sintang, Kapuas Hulu, and Melawi, with a sample size of 374 respondents. The results, researchers found that, in general, students' abilities were at a moderate level in all three aspects measured: Information, Media, and Technology Skills received the highest score, and Learning and Innovation Skills. However, upon closer examination, the Creative Thinking component, which is part of the Creativity and Innovation sub-aspect within the Learning and Innovation Skills aspect, was in the low category compared to the other components.
