Abstract

Application and development of teaching materials need to be done in today's learning innovations. Currently the government is implementing a new curriculum with new policies in the form of learning numeracy and scientific literacy. This learning focuses on daily problem-solving activities related to science and mathematics. Therefore there is a need for teacher innovation in developing E-Module teaching materials as a form of modern learning application. The development of E-Module learning was carried out at SD IT Insan Mulia with 10 teachers participating. This was done because teachers at SD IT Insan Mulia did not understand how to make E-Modules based on scientific literacy and numeracy. The method used is the Scientist-Practitioner Model, which combines training, workshops and mentoring. The results obtained in this activity were that several teachers stated that they already knew and understood how to make E-Modules based on scientific literacy and numeracy in accordance with what had been taught. In addition, teachers are also given assignments in groups to apply what has been taught how to make E-Modules based on scientific literacy and numeracy. Based on this, the teacher produces good products so that learning can take place practically anywhere and anytime through the E-Modules that have been made

Abstract

The low mathematical communication skills of grade V students of Kluwut 02 Public Elementary School Malang is the background of this study. In fact, mathematical communication skills are an important component in helping students understand mathematical concepts meaningfully. This research aims to improve students' mathematical communication skills through the application of the round-robin brainstorming learning model. The method used is Class Action Research, which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 16 elementary school grade V students. The data collection technique uses observation and tests in the form of story questions in the Student Worksheet, which are done in groups. The data was analyzed descriptively to determine the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills. The results of the study showed an increase in the percentage of completeness from cycle I by 56.25% to cycle II to 87.5% with the category of good to good. This study fills the gap in the study of the application of round-robin brainstorming at the elementary school level, especially in the development of mathematical communication skills. Although the results showed significant improvement, the study was limited to a small class scope and limited time duration, so further research with a wider scope is needed.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by interactive digital books on the topic of flat shapes. The research was motivated by the low achievement of learning completeness among grade IV students at Bakalan Krajan 1 Public Elementary School, Malang, primarily due to conventional teaching methods that lacked student engagement. The study involved 28 fourth-grade students and employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral design, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle included the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through learning outcome tests administered at each meeting, and analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics to determine the percentage of learning completeness. The results indicated a steady improvement in learning outcomes, with completeness increasing from 53.5% in the first meeting of Cycle I to 60.7% in the second meeting. In Cycle II, the percentage rose significantly to 78.5% in the first meeting and reached 85.7% by the second. These findings demonstrate that the Discovery Learning model, supported by interactive digital books, effectively enhances students’ mathematics learning outcomes by promoting active participation in the learning process. However, the study's limitations include a relatively short implementation period and a small sample limited to one class.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) students of grade IV C Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Bakalan Krajan Malang through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by e-LKPD media. The background of this study is the low learning outcomes and limited student engagement in IPAS learning, which is partly caused by conventional learning models and the absence of interactive digital teaching materials. This class action research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. In cycle I, learning was conducted using the Discovery Learning model without integrating e-LKPD media, while in cycle II, the learning process was supplemented with the use of interactive e-LKPD, designed to guide students in discovery activities, problem-solving, and critical thinking tasks. The research subjects involved 28 students of grade IV C. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome evaluation tests conducted at the end of each cycle. The results of the study showed a significant increase in learning completeness, from 58% in the first cycle to 89% in the second cycle, indicating a 31% improvement. These findings prove that the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by e-LKPD media is effective not only in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in IPAS but also in increasing active student participation, engagement, and motivation during the learning process.
