Abstract

Nowadays, sport is not only a necessity but also a lifestyle. Sport is not only done outdoors but can also bedone independently indoors. One exercise that is easy to do independently is calisthenics. In general, calisthenics can be done with a tool called a parallette. Parallette equipment manufacturers currently stilluse wood materials and conventional production processes and do not have product variations. A potentialproduction process that can be adapted to make parallette equipment is additive manufacturing 3D printerswith PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament material. The process is carried out through several stages: 3D design, printing using a 3D printer, assembly, and finishing. The production process of a parallette tool with a 3Dprinter takes a standard time of 3123.02 minutes. The longest time occurs when printing with a 3D printerfor grip parts (2 parts) and parallette legs (4 parts). The gross production cost for a set of paralletteequipment is Rp. 101,327. Production of calisthenic equipment with PLA (Polylactic Acid) filamentmaterial using a 3D printer can be used as an alternative to replace wood-based parallette products withconventional manufacturing processes. Sports equipment manufacturers can also use this product as achoice and variety offered to customers.

Abstract

The growing demand for adequate housing in Indonesia, fueled by rapid population growth, continues to pose a substantial challenge, particularly due to inefficiencies in conventional construction methods. Prefabricated housing offers a compelling alternative, with advantages in quality, cost effectiveness, time efficiency, and waste reduction. However, limited early stage integration often leads to poorly defined designs, hindering its broader adoption. This study aims to develop a prefabricated house prototype by integrating DFMA with BIM. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing secondary data derived from literature. The process began with modeling a conventional house as a baseline, which was then restructured into a prefabricated system through DFMA principles, BIM modeling using Autodesk Revit, and a systematic evaluation using DFMA assessment tools covering manufacturing, transportation, and assembly aspects. The study resulted in two prototype models based on a modular panel system. A 30% reduction in component count was achieved in transitioning from the conventional model, while a 7.45% reduction in panels was observed between the two prefabricated models. The integration of DFMA and BIM significantly improves design efficiency, ensures better structural organization, and enhances readiness for implementation presenting a viable strategy to support housing provision efforts.

Abstract

This tudy aims to design a fog-to-water conversion device using the TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) and Kano methods to address clean water scarcity in high-altitude environments. The research begins with a literature-based identification of technical challenges in existing fog harvesting systems. These challenges are categorized into attributes and analyzed using TRIZ contradiction analysis, which maps improving and worsening features into a contradiction matrix. The matrix yields inventive principles such as segmentation, preliminary action, taking out, and beforehand cushioning, which generate specific solutions that form the basis of the conceptual design. Subsequently, the design is refined using the Kano method. The TRIZ-based design attributes are integrated into Kano questionnaires, which were distributed to users for data collection and analysis. The results identified 9 levels of importance and evaluated 7 functional and dysfunctional features. Of the 7 features integrated with TRIZ, 5 were selected for retention and development. This study concludes that the TRIZ method effectively resolves design conflicts and supports the development of innovative and adaptable solutions, while the Kano method validates the conceptual design based on user needs and satisfaction.
