Abstract

In this work, we aim to provide a connection between energy consumption during hiking and its relation to optimum logistic preparations in mountaineering-based tourism. Such energy consumption is calculated based on data from hiking track profiles and heart rate of persons taking the track. It is then used as input to solve optimization problems in term of the logistic preparations. Here, we demonstrate such connection based on the actual condition of hiking track in the Mount of Sindoro, Central Java, Indonesia.

Abstract

Penerapan dan pengembangan manajemen operasi saat ini menjadi salah satu kunci dalam kesuksesan proses bisnis perusahaan. Pendekatan manajemen oprasi dapat memberikan support dan pemecahan berbagai masalah dalam proses binis perusahaan, salah satunya permasalahan teori antrian.  Permasalahan antrian dapat terjadi diberbagai macam model bisnis. Pada perusahaan penyedia jasa dan retail sering terjadi permasalahan antrian dimana interaksi antara pelanggan dan penyedia layanan intensitasnya cukup tinggi. Supermarket Rita Pasaraya merupakan perusahaan penyedia jasa berupa retail segala jenis barang dan menjadi salah satu yang terbesar di kota Purwokerto. Hasil observasi awal menunjukan tingkat antrian pada Supermarket Rita Pasaraya memiliki tingkat sibuk yang tinggi pada waktu-waktu tertentu dan tingkat kesibukan server yang tidak seimbang. Tujuan analisis dan simulasi antrian untuk mendapatkan sistem antrian yang ideal dan menemukan faktor yang paling bepengaruh. Model antrian yang diterapkan adalah multi channel single phase. Teori antrian ini banyak dipengaruhi oleh berbagai macam faktor diantaranya yaitu pola kedatangan, pola kepergian, dan rancangan sistem pelayanan yang dilakukan.  Analisa didapatkan bahwa pelayanan pelanggan yang tertinggi terjadi pada pukul 15.30-16.00 WIB dengan jumlah rata-rata kedatangan sebanyak 9 orang dan pelayanan 9 orang. Penggunaan kasir server 4 dinilai tidak efektif dan dapat dihilangkan karena tingkat kedatangan pelanggan yang rendah, pelayanan yang jarang, dan kesibukan kasir rendah. Faktor rancangan sistem pelayanan dapat dilakukan perubahan dengan mengurangi 1 server menjadi 3 server, hal ini dapat mengurangi tingkat idle time dan meningkatkan efektivitas kinerja server 1, 2 dan 3

Abstract

The development of the industrial world from the manufacturing sector must always be carried out by each manufacturing company so that the products marketed are not dead in the market because they are less competitive than their competitors. This is what drives companies to always supervise and make improvements to improve the quality of the products produced. PT.XYZ is one of the manufacturing companies engaged in the national steel industry whose main activity is producing concrete reinforcement steel with the main raw material being hot billets. In carrying out its production, PT.XYZ is not uncommon to find the products that are rejected due to defects. This research was conducted to analyze the number of defective goods produced with the aim that the quality of the products obtained increases and the level of income obtained is more leverage using the Six Sigma method. Cause and effect diagrams (fishbone diagrams) and Pareto diagrams are also used in this study to determine the causes of existing problems and the scale of priority problems that must be solved first. Based on the calculation of the percentage of damage, it can be concluded that there are four cases of the highest defect products, namely: 63.93% non-standard length, 15.51% ear defects, 12.67% digestion, and 7.9% cracking. At the end of this study, the results show that the capability and sigma value of company performance in improving product quality amounted to 7916.2 DPMO with a sigma value of 3.916.

Abstract

Productivity and efficiency are two main things that can be used as benchmarks for success from the Delivery section of the SCM department. Productivity is the main point in assessing whether the Delivery system in the warehouse is feasible or has not reached its target. In the last few periods after carrying out a track record of the historical data of the shipment of goods. It was found that in one week there were frequent deliveries to the same user drop point location, meaning that this could lead to waste & waste from inefficient work. In connection with that, a new system is implemented, the scheduling system, which is a delivery system for delivering material with a predetermined schedule every week. This research is intended to produce a productivity analysis that shows whether this new scheduling system can increase productivity and delivery efficiency when compared to an aging system or vice versa by using a productivity analysis methodology and efficiency level benchmarking using data envelopment analysis (DEA). The results of the aging system productivity analysis have a better value, namely 34%, while the scheduling system is 26%, but scheduling has a shorter distance so it can make savings. Meanwhile, in comparison to efficiency using benchmark factors, it is found that the aging system is more efficient with an optimum value of 1, and scheduling of 0.9855535 is considered inefficient.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the pipe industry with various types of HDPE pipe products according to consumer needs. PT XYZ has problems with the BX-75 engine because it has a high breakdown value and is obtained from historical production data. The high breakdown caused the production process of the BX-75 engine to be hampered and the daily production target was reduced. To determine the effectiveness of the BX-75 engine, measurements using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method are needed. The research was conducted using the OEE method to identify whether it is in accordance with world class standards, if the OEE value is still low, a Six Big Losses analysis will be carried out from the pareto chart which will determine what losses affect the low OEE value and analyze the details of the causes of each fishbone diagram. The average OEE value on BX-75 machines in November-December 2022 was 78.86%. The result is still below 85% so six big losses analysis is still needed. There are two types of losses that dominate, namely downtime losses and setup & adjustment losses. Downtime losses have an average loss of 13.50% and setup losses have an average of 9.53%.

Abstract

Today's industrial competition encourages companies to continue to improve the quality of their products. However, the quality of the product itself is not only influenced by how the processes occur in the production line, but also related to a series of flows starting from the arrival of materials until the product is received by consumers. As happened at PT. X, the company wants to identify product quality problems and reduce the number of product defects because many defective products are found. To control product quality, a method is used to reduce product defects by using the New Seven Tools method. New Seven Tools is one of the quality control methods used to find and solve qualitative problems. By using the New Seven Tools method, several causes of problems were found and recommendations for improvements were appropriate for each problem. Based on the results of the analysis to find the causes of quality problems using the New Seven Tools method, it can be concluded that there are 8 types of defects with 3 main factors causing defects, namely operator error during workmanship, poor material quality, and lack of quality inspection

Abstract

A business feasibility analysis is necessary to conduct to determine whether a business is viable and to enhance its quality and quantity. The analysis included (1) technical, (2) marketing, (3) management and organizational, and (4) financial. This study uses a business feasibility analysis to determine the viability of new MSME businesses named KAOSI. Based on the research conducted, it has been determined that the KAOSI is considered feasible because it meets the following criteria: (1) technical aspect, such as operating in a strategic location; (2) marketing aspect, such as having a unique selling proposition that is not currently held by any competing products; (3) financial aspect, KAOSI has a business NPV value of IDR 4,158,829.4, an IRR value of 40,9%, a PP value of 1.79 years, and a PI value of 1.98, which indicates that this business is financially feasible. However, in terms of management and organization, only the management aspect can be met by KAOSI, its organizational structure is deemed impractical due to its management's extensive responsibilities.

Abstract

Bengkel XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi dan memperbaiki produk komponen. Bengkel XYZ sering menghadapi masalah downtime sehingga aktivitas produksi menjadi terhambat dan menyebabkan tertundanya pengiriman pesanan konsumen. Perhitungan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) menunjukan terdapat mesin bubut  yang memiliki nilai OEE dibawah 85%, yang berarti kinerjanya belum baik berdasarkan standard yang ditetapkan oleh Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), yaitu pada mesin bubut IK, mesin bubut IIS, dan mesin bubut IIIS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab dan dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh mesin bubut yang memiliki kinerja belum baik menggunakan failure mode effect and criticality analysis (FMECA). Hasil analisis identifikasi FMECA menunjukkan: (1) pada mesin bubut IK potential failure modes terdapat 1 kategori tolerable dan 8 kategori unacceptable memiliki critical priority tertinggi, yaitu ketidak-presisian pada chuck dengan nilai RPN sebesar 900, (2) pada mesin bubut IIS potential failure modes terdapat 1 kategori tolerable dan 7 kategori unacceptable memiliki critical priority tertinggi yaitu kerusakan pada main bearing dan kerusakan pada gearbox dengan nilai RPN a sebesar 900, (3) pada mesin bubut IIIS potential failure modes terdapat 2 kategori tolerable dan 9 kategori unacceptable dengan critical priority tertinggi, yaitu kerusakan pada internal dinamo motor memiliki nilai RPN 900. Perbaikan yang dilakukan Bengkel XYZ adalah dengan membuat perencanaan perawatan mesin bubut, standar kebersihan mesin, tanggung jawab bagi operator, dan pelatihan bagi operator serta untuk mempertahankan kondisi mesin agar tetap terkontrol dapat melakukan daily checklist untuk memeriksa keadaan mesin

Abstract

Number Box Toys are children’s toys for children aged 1 to 4 years, designed to help children develop their cognitive and motor skills and learn about different number shapes and colors, including the number 0 to 9. The aim of developing this educational game prototype is to provide a visual image of the product and determine the production cost of the Number Box Toys product which is manufactured using 3D printing machine. Before making a prototype, Number Box Toys product design was created in 2D and 3D using Solidwork software, and then a Bill of Materials (BOM) and Operation Process Chart (OPC) were created. When producing the Number Box Toys prototype, simulation software was used using the Creality Slicer application to show the total time required to produce a Number Box Toys product, which was approximately 1803,78 minutes or 30,063 hours. The total time required to complete the entire operation process chart of Number Box Toys is 1822,78 minutes or about 30,38 hours, with details of 57 operation processes and 18 inspection processes. The results of calculating the production cost of the Number Box Toys educational game based on the total time required, material prices and labor costs resulted in a production cost value of Rp 404.690,89 and the selling price is Rp 465.383,03 with a profit of 15% of the cost price is Rp 60.702,13. There is a significant price difference compared to similar products sold on the market because Number Box Toys’ product prototype is made using 3D printing process, which requires a lot of time to make each part but has a size or shape that can be customized to suit the consumer.

Abstract

PT. Central Sarana Pancing is a company engaged in the manufacturing of fishing line and various fishing accessories. From the results of field observations that have been carried out, dyeing division is the division with the highest number of defects. From the define stage, the defects that occur in the string dyeing process are pigment sticking defects with a percentage of 49%, 38% non-standard color, 12% creasing, and 2% non-standard strength. From the DPMO calculation, Motorola's sigma value is 3.36, which means that the dyeing division is in the industry average category with a fairly large amount of quality costs, namely 25-40% of sales. From the analysis stage, the defects that occur are mostly caused by human or operator factors. Therefore, for the prevention and repair of defects is by improving the performance and accuracy of operators and employees must receive training and education in understanding the entire process being carried out. In addition, SOPs will be made for the improvements that will be carried out as a reference for employees in carrying out the production process at PT. Central Fishing Facilities. As for the mechanical aspect, it is necessary to clean working tools and machines and maintain them regularly.
