Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0 requires MSMEs in Ciherang Village to adopt digital technology to remain competitive and able to compete in the global market. This research aims to support MSMEs through assistance in creating a Business Identification Number (NIB) and digital marketing training. The research method includes an initial survey to identify the level of technology utilization by local MSMEs, followed by digital marketing training, use of e-commerce platforms, and NIB registration. As a result, 15 MSMEs succeeded in obtaining NIB, while others began to utilize digital platforms such as Shopee and TikTok to expand their market reach. Even though this training improves the digital skills of business actors, challenges such as uneven internet access, varying technological capabilities, and limitations in using technology independently are still the main obstacles. Therefore, long-term investment in digital infrastructure, increased technological literacy, and ongoing assistance are needed to ensure the sustainability of the digital transformation of MSMEs in Ciherang Village.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Ciherang Village aims to introduce and train farmers in making plant-based pesticides from garlic. The use of plant-based pesticides was chosen because it is environmentally friendly and a safer alternative to chemical pesticides, which are known to have negative impacts on human health, plants, and the environment. In this training, farmers are taught how to produce pesticides independently with easily obtained natural ingredients, such as garlic, oil, and liquid detergent. In addition, they are also provided with information about the importance of maintaining the balance of the agricultural ecosystem. The results of this activity show an increase in farmers' awareness of the dangers of using chemical pesticides and a greater interest in switching to using plant-based pesticides. The application of plant-based pesticides has been shown to have positive impacts, such as improving soil quality, reducing pest attacks, and increasing crop yields. It is hoped that this activity can contribute to creating more sustainable agriculture in Ciherang Village.

Abstract

Efforts to increase rice production in Indonesia are crucial due to the country’s large population and heavy reliance on rice as a staple food. While chemical pest control has been widely used, it is costly and harmful to the environment. Therefore, alternative eco-friendly approaches, such as utilizing refugia plants and predators, are needed. This study aims to analyze the influence of refugia plants on predator presence and their impact on rice production. The research is conducted in Maleber, Kuningan Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Primary data collection takes place from July to December 2024, with processing in January 2025. This quantitative study employs a survey method with 120 randomly selected farmers who use refugia plants in rice cultivation. Data is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS. The findings indicate a complete mediation effect, where refugia plants significantly influence predator presence (0.93), which in turn positively affects rice production (0.97). The most dominant indicator in refugia variables is the embankment area allocated for refugia planting (0.86), while in predator variables, it is the frequency of predator sightings (0.86). These results suggest that environmentally friendly and sustainable rice production can be improved by optimizing embankment areas for refugia planting and enhancing predator populations in rice fields.

Abstract

Consumers in this third marketing era want quality product conditions and a pleasant coffee shop atmosphere. The barista can create both of these conditions. This study aims to analyze the barista's influence on the coffee shop's atmosphere through product variables in the city of Cirebon. The research design was quantitative with a survey method, and the research location was determined deliberately, namely in the town of Cirebon, because there are many modern coffee shops in this city. The research population is coffee shop consumers in Cirebon City, whose number is unknown, so the sample size is determined based on a loading factor of 0.5, namely 120 respondents. The indicator measurement of each variable is a loading factor, using a Likert Scale and data analysis with the Structural Equation Modeling instrument. The study results concluded that the barista influences the atmosphere of the coffee shop through product variables in the city of Cirebon. The most dominant indicator for the barista variable is friendliness (0.84), for the coffee shop atmosphere variable, namely coffee shops and online marketing (0.75 each) and the product variable, the aroma of coffee drinks (0.75). To win the competition, it is recommended that coffee shop business actors improve the quality of these most dominant indicators.
