Abstract

Background: Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) represent an accessible online learning platform open to everyone without specific conditions. The prominence of MOOCs has surged, particularly following the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite this global trend, the development of MOOCs in Indonesia faces challenges such as community unpreparedness and inadequate infrastructure. Traditional education perceptions persist, with many Indonesians believing in the necessity of formal education. Gamification, involving the incorporation of enjoyable and engaging game elements into non-game activities, presents an innovative approach. Given the relatively low demand for MOOCs in Indonesia, gamification is employed to enhance user motivation and retention, with the expectation of increasing student interest in utilizing MOOCs.Methods: The research methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D), utilizing the Four D-Models model and gamification analysis through the Octa lysis Gamification Framework. This framework serves as the foundation for the selection of gamification elements. Results: Media validation results demonstrate an 86% feasibility rating for gamification-based MOOC products in Engineering Mechanics 1 courses, categorizing it as "Very Decent." Overall, the MOOC platform achieves a 92% feasibility rating, also falling into the "Very Decent" category. Conclusion: In conclusion, the research affirms that the development of gamification-based MOOCs in Engineering Mechanics 1 courses is viable for integration into the learning process. This is supported by the positive results from media validation and trials, both categorized as "Very Decent."

Abstract

The issue of curriculum relevance in vocational education is a crucial issue of all time. The relevance of the curriculum has two blades, whether it will be the biggest strength or even the biggest weakness in vocational education. Relevance will link the existing employment potential and the graduate's ability to fulfill the job requirements. This research aims to determine the relevance of the independent vocational school learning curriculum, especially in the field of construction, with the competencies needed in the world of work. This research uses a qualitative approach with participants being teachers in the field of study, especially construction and leaders/heads/managers in companies. Data collection was carried out through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The questions in the FGD consisted of open-ended questions to find out participants' answers in detail. The research results show that there is relevance between the Merdeka Curriculum and the needs of industry, especially in the building construction sector. Vocational school graduates generally have opportunities in small-scale construction industry services and efforts to increase relevance between schools and industry are to increase cooperation and increase teacher competence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the effect of learning by using the media of “Revit” learning based on BIM (Building Information Modeling) on student learning outcomes as well as students’ learning interest in productive lessons especially on planning lessons for students of SMK Department of Construction of Batu Beton. The research used quantitative method. Selection of learning media “Revit” based on BIM (Building Information Modeling) to attract students’ interest in Department of Construction of Stone Construction of Concrete which initially used standart media that is excel for calculation of financing plan and simple building structure calculation. In this research, it is expected that students can more easily think in application in project which will be used as learning. Keywords: revit learning media, interest in learning, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract

Purpose – This study systematically maps global research trends on entrepreneurial readiness in vocational education from 2020 to 2025 and identifies implications for strengthening the Indonesian vocational education system (SMK). Entrepreneurial readiness is a strategic national priority amid ongoing graduate unemployment and policy reforms, including Merdeka Belajar.Methodology – A bibliometric analysis was conducted using data from the Scopus database. After a multi-stage screening, 82 relevant publications were selected from an initial pool of 159 documents. Subsequently, the VOSviewer software generated keyword co-occurrence networks and temporal overlay visualizations, enabling the identification of thematic clusters and the evolution of research focus.Findings – The analysis identified 29 key terms within five thematic clusters: (1) Entrepreneurial Readiness, (2) Work-Integrated Learning, (3) Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy, (4) Entrepreneurial Intention, and (5) Entrepreneurial Education. Early studies (2020–2021) centered on employability skills, curriculum design, and work-integrated learning, while recent research (2022–2025) focused on digital competence, self-efficacy, leadership, and innovation. These thematic trends correspond to Indonesia's digital economic growth and national reforms in vocational education under the Merdeka Belajar framework. However, notable gaps persist in bibliometric studies tailored to the Indonesian vocational education context, specifically highlighting the need for targeted research.Contribution – This study maps the field of entrepreneurial readiness research in Indonesian vocational education, strengthens the integration of the Theory of Planned Behavior with work-integrated learning and digital competence, and offers actionable policy insights for redesigning SMK curricula under the Merdeka Belajar framework.

Abstract

In an increasingly digital era, the use of online media in learning is considered very important. This research aims to determine the impact of using online media by students in the Education and Structure subject group in the UNJ Building Engineering Education study program. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. The population of this study were students from the 2017 and 2018 Building Engineering Education study programs who had carried out structure and education courses in the even semester (112) of the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 297 students. The sampling technique in this research used cluster random sampling, so the sample consisted of 160 students. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The research results show that education courses use online media more than structured courses. Apart from that, the most widely used online media are Google Classroom and Whatsapp groups, with a percentage of more than 80%. The types of online media used in the Education course group include Google Classroom, Whatsapp group, email, and Quizzizz. Meanwhile, the online media structure course group only uses Google Classroom and Whatsapp groups. Students use online media to get references or learning resources, as a means of discussion, download study materials, and make it easy for students to access online media in the excellent category.
