Abstract

This interpretive symbolic anthropology research aims to understand Islamic dynamics in the Indonesian Chinese Islamic Association (PITI) in Jepara Regency. Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills and economic independence of the Bahu Palawa Village community by training members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) to produce herbal lip balm using rambutan peel waste and kelulut honey. The program adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, actively involving participants in each stage: basic entrepreneurship training, dissemination of information on the benefits of local ingredients, hands-on lip balm production, digital marketing, and packaging design. The training combined expository instruction, demonstrations, and practical activities to ensure comprehension and application. Evaluation was conducted using pretest-posttest instruments and Wilcoxon signed-rank statistical analysis. Results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of rambutan peel benefits (from 12 to 28 participants) and of kelulut honey (from 22 to 29 participants), as well as improved trust in the safety of herbal cosmetics (from 31 to 32 participants). Satisfaction surveys indicated high approval of the training materials and mentoring. The program successfully increased knowledge, skills, and awareness of local resource potential. Its impact includes fostering interest in transforming organic waste into economically valuable products, although continued mentoring is needed to support sustainable independent production.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of promotion through influencers in increasing Generation Z's interest in Islamic banking products. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an in-depth interview method with 51 respondents consisting of Generation Z, influencers, and Islamic banking practitioners. The results of the study indicate that promotion through influencers can increase knowledge and appeal of Islamic banking products, with an average respondent interest score of 4.16. The main factors that influence the effectiveness of promotion are the credibility of influencers, the quality of promotional messages, and the relevance of products to consumer needs. However, the effectiveness of this promotion is still limited in changing consumer preferences from conventional to Islamic banking. Recommendations provided include selecting credible influencers, improving the quality of promotional messages, and integrating educational campaigns to strengthen understanding of the advantages of Islamic banking. This study provides strategic insights for Islamic banks in utilizing digital marketing to increase Generation Z participation.

Abstract

The construction sector remains a critical employment source in developing economies, yet understanding the determinants of worker performance in this informal labor market remains limited. This study addresses the gap by examining how work ethics, wage systems, and bonus provisions simultaneously influence construction worker performance in rural Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach with saturated sampling, we surveyed 97 construction workers in Gapurana Village, Talango District, Sumenep Regency. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS 23. Results reveal that work ethics (t = 2.892, p = 0.005), wage systems (t = 3.439, p = 0.001), and bonus provisions (t = 2.006, p = 0.048) each significantly and positively influence worker performance. The simultaneous effect of all three variables was highly significant (F = 33.965, p < 0.001), explaining substantial variance in performance outcomes. These findings demonstrate that performance enhancement in informal construction sectors requires multidimensional interventions beyond mere financial compensation. The study contributes to Islamic economics literature by providing empirical evidence on labor justice and welfare enhancement mechanisms. For policymakers and contractors, results suggest that integrating ethical development programs with fair wage systems and performance-based incentives creates synergistic effects on worker productivity, aligning with Islamic principles of just compensation and human dignity in employment relationships.
